I think without all of you guys, I would have been face down in the crick by now. But, yes, I do need to do that. I used to read a daily blog by Dean Wesley Smith, who I met many many years ago at a writer's convention. How I lost track of reading that, I can't remember, as because of him, I had a 3 year plan to support myself with my fiction. But... what? where am I? Something happened and I uh...forgot! Maybe it was the breast cancer...or getting laid off... or IDK. Somewhere along the line I have gotten Too Busy Doing Nuthin' Fun.

EDIT: You know what? I complain a lot about how they don't pay me enough on this job. Perhaps I need to work like they pay me... not so much. I DO spend time writing posts, last week I spent time doing my 2nd job here because of unusual deadlines...and I still got all my work done. Maybe I should just lighten up a bit on the discipline of Work at Work. Maybe. P

Pearly: Moving, taking care of a family, cancer, being laid off, are all huge life changes. Add a job that you are not in love with zaps energy as well.

Maybe right now, you are finally in a place where you can get back to doing things that light you up. Be kind to yourself as well you have been through a lot.

We got your back, Pearly! <3 I'm glad you liked the speech. Even though I'm not an artist, I feel like it applies and helps me see the bigger picture. Also...I'm always repeating Churchill's famous words, "Never, ever, ever give up!"
Sunshine - I hope this helps your daughter! Love Gaiman and the inspiring words that come out of his mouth.

Had second piece of fruit...I normally only have one, but I was feeling hungry! Not quite "hangry", but tummy was gurgling. Had some green tea. Now I just have another protein and veggie to get me through the night. I hope I can make it. I'm already envisioning a vodka, La Criox Blueberry Lemon spritzer later...OH dear!

I think I my dose might be too high? These drops are fairly new to me. Used them for about the last week in my last round and stored them in the fridge for 6 weeks. They should still be potent. But it does say to take 15 drops, 3x per day and with other drops from Intermountain which I'm used to, it says 10 drops/3x a day. Advice?

What would I do without you, lovelies???

P.S. I got a monitor riser for my desk so now I can stand and type when I want! It's so much better than sitting all day. Love it.

    Happy February!

I've been offline most of the time I've been here in Oregon. Just busy doing this and that., and feeling kind of untethered. LOL. Not even checking my email daily.

I've been off P2 while here too. Not horrendously, but have enjoyed several meals out with my daughter. I took a planned interruption (to the extreme), and I plan on getting back on P2 this weekend. I go back home on Sunday, so will be strict P2 again on Monday. At least I knew what I was doing and did it consciously.

Planned Interruption / P3 starts tomorrow. This 150's # just haunts me. I kind of think it's probably a more reasonable number, but I'm so close to the 140's! I know, I know, it shouldn't matter. I bought my coconut/almond milk creamer and sugar free bacon!

The unsweetened betterhalf is amazing! It's like putting ice cream in your coffee. I couldn't find it yesterday so I got the unsweetened creamer yesterday. I've never had it, but I'm guessing it's almost as good.

Stomach bug running threw the house. SO and son both throwing up yesterday, only symptom. I'm okay so far, hope it skips me, and it's only a 24 hr thing.

I think my SO might have some health issue that he doesn't tell me about and it bothers me but I feel like I can't approach him about it because the only reason why I know any hints of anything is because I snoop around and see stuff that raises my eyebrow.

So... it seems any time I see a carb, BAM! 5 lbs. or more! Ugh. So on the advice of a different group (I have another group, y'all Lovely Losers are Flat Out For Real Fierce in February!) I have started checking my blood sugars. They challenged me on my assertion that my blood sugars have always been "fine" when tested. Which got me thinking about how my thyroid results were always "fine," too, when really, they were not.

I'm only on day 2, but I'm already learning that things are not quite as "fine" as I've been led to believe. Lovely Losers are Flat Out For Real Fierce in February!Lovely Losers are Flat Out For Real Fierce in February!Lovely Losers are Flat Out For Real Fierce in February!

Welcome Nay57! I do the same everytime. I end up gaining back almost everytime, but its due to poor choices, for me. A little sugar here to much bread there. But this is a great forum to help keep us accountable.

Pearly, youve always got so much going on, my heart feels for you! You always seem to be here for this group and are so very helpful to us. You need to do something for yourself! I know that for me too as i go non stop. Yesterday i played in my green house all of 20 minutes and i was so happy!

VLCD4 and down .4 today. Happy about that! I've refrained from cheating except for a little bit of parm cheese on chili two days ago. No alcohol. I still feel groggy and grumpy, so I'm skipping drops tomorrow to see if I'm taking too much. These new drops call for 15 drops/3x a day (I'm used to 10 drops/3x a day) and I think it's causing all these messed up side effects - moody, hunger after lunch and after dinner, muscle aches (possibly), foggy brain. We'll see what happens. The weekends are always the toughest because there's more free time. Luckily, I'll be busy downsizing my house and packing for the move the end of the month. If nothing else, I can always take a long nap during the afternoon to stave off those cravings.

Welcome, Nae! I'm about the same place you are in P2. How are you feeling? Maintaining weight has all to do how well you do in P2 with sticking to protocol and then transitioning correctly with the right foods in P3. If you are over 2 lbs of LDW (LIW), then a correction day is a good idea. Good luck!

Janeen - I hope you figure stuff out! Is it a particular carb that causes that kind of gain? I wonder if you can experiment and isolate the little bugger.

Katt - Good to see you back and welcome back to P2. I'm right there with you!

Sarah - I hope people get feeling better over there! Stomach bugs are definitely icky.

    How's everyone else doing?

P.S. We made it to Friday!!! Yay!

P – I LOVE THAT IDEA. Work as much as you need to at your “day-job” and no more. That is what I do now. I keep up with all my responsibilities of course; anything that is only MY JOB gets done. And when we have lots of visitors (or like the recent T-Rex invasion) I make sure everyone has everything they need, from making copies, to notarizing documents, to getting food & beverage, to making reservations, etc.

But when all is quiet around here (like today?) - I KICK BACK and slow the pace DOWN. I realize you have to keep your eye on everything and everyone, but if all is going good (like no emergencies or a crisis) dial it back.

Nat – just cause the bottle says 15, 3 x a day, doesn’t mean you have to take that many. If you are hungry today, perhaps you drop that back to 12 and see what happens. I usually start P2 with 15 3X because (as Dr. Zach says) I want my body to get saturated with hcg; by week 3, I’m taking 10, 3X.

Nay 57 – hello, welcome. WE all have problems maintaining our weight. Tell us more about what you are doing and perhaps we can help. Congrats on starting a P2!

Sarah – Sure hope everyone is better today.

That creamer looks perfect for P2. Wonder where I can order it, ‘cause I’ve never seen it in FTW stores.

I know TESS is an important guide, but we all need to remember it is a guide.

Let me ask you. Would you even weigh yourself ever if the doctor never weighed you and there was no medical authority to slap you down if you don’t fit into a certain height/weight category?? Wouldn’t you simply go by how your clothes feel?

I think about this a lot – that being a certain number on TESS is so ingrained in us, it is difficult to get around that in your mind. It is only a GUIDE. I really, really, really want to weigh 160 and I’ve been working at that for TWO YEARS NOW. That is kinda my perfect weight in my mind (160 pounds, size 8). But if I get into a size 8 off any rack at any store, what does it REALLY matter what TESS says?

I fight with myself about this all the time, because TESS still has the power to crush my day and I'm really sick of being depressed all day because of a number.

Janeen – interesting! Keep us posted on that!

Tanya - my grandmother was like that - she should have had her own garden nursery, 'cause she could fiddle with plants all day and be so happy.
