    Randi - Yes, ammonia smell = ketosis. It can also cause some pretty bad breath and a metallic taste in your mouth.

    If I remember correctly, you have STAY in ketosis for a while (like several weeks) for the others to happen.

    Yikes!!! The things people don't talk about. 😖 Probably not experienced by all. We've learned by now that one thing does not work for all but does work for some.

    Last time through as I finished up I did the Lipto??? thing and Paleo because it sounded interesting. I had done Celeste Drops and a little of Meridian pellets when I was out and about for convenience. I, thankfully, never had a problem stabilizing. I had ordered plenty extra and I'm so glad I did because when I started back up I was shicked that my Drops from 2012 which I had kept refrigerated were just fine. At 19 VLCDs, it looks like I'm about 1/3 through so I'll need something for for next round. I checked with Natalie and she confirmed her ordering source for pellets. It seems our losses are similar so I just ordered. I'm set. I've been observing the keto discussions and while it seems effective for some, I'll go the standard maintenance route. While the lipto/Paleo thing worked all right, except I couldn't do the grass-fee...tasted like lawnmower clippings smell to me... I maintained my losses until BC when I had 7, I think, surgeries. I hibernated for a little over 3 years it seems...apparently, I woke up to go to the bathroom and eat. 😖😷🤒😴😴😴🤗✝️

    Hi all- checking in! I'm down 10lbs from P2D1 last week, so I can't complain! Had a little slow-down with my losses, but I think it may have been some Pellegrino water or perhaps some Starbucks black coffee. When I had some I felt different than when I have my organic coffee at home. I wonder if they have secret additives? Anyway, I adjusted my dosage from 150 to 125iu and my hunger is much better. Like, I have zero! Pretty happy over here

    Tomorrow we are having a BBQ at work so I'm bringing arugula greens with parmesan and balsamic (on the side) for people to make their own salad. I plan on having the salad (sans cheese) and using some protein that will be there. I'll be sipping an iced coffee while everyone has dessert. I'm pretty excited about my idea to bring something (at least close) to protocol and being able to partake. I also bought some cupcakes to contribute to the dessert table but have ZERO desire for any of them. My husband is like "get them out of the house!!" and I'm like "what? just don't eat any!" HCG is amazing.

    Overwhelmed Loser Here Reporting

    Hi Lovelies,

    -1lb today so I am happy! I think I might have found the magic number of calories and protein to be able to stay in Keto. I am not writing it in stone, but keeping a rough draft! Already tested the other day and had a trace. I used the strips. I know they are not that exact but at least it gives me an idea.

    I have heard about the smell, ammonia, etc., but I also know that the more water a person takes, the more frequent the bathroom visits, and when there are too many hours in between bathroom visits, the urine does get pretty awful and that combined with the ketosis....yikes.... So....I am planning on moving my desk to the john and having sugar free mint gum with me just in case (breath apparently is an issue for some people as well)!!! LOL

    I have read each and every one of you but I honestly have no time today to do any personals so I am sending you all a big hug. I worked from 8am till almost 6:30 with 30mins lunch, then got home, dinner, helped DH with some work stuff, then on the couch pretending to watch tv with DH while on the laptop working...again. And now, shower and straight to bed. Tomorrow, rinse & repeat cause I have a feeling this will be going on for a while. I am doing the summer flex hours to at least be able to rest of Friday afternoons. In the mean time, working as much as I can so I can feel things are moving on...

    To say that I am overwhelmed with the work load right now is an understatement. Awesome thing though, my boss told me I am being promoted in September after we get the new person, so he/she can take my current position then, and I can move on to my upcoming promotion. So yes, I am excited! But I have to admit, I cannot wait till we get the new person. The T-Rex deciding on the details of the position, salary, etc., is out of the office and there are a lot of other details to be taken care of since the position is completely different from what the lady that we let go, had. So....praying for focus on the present and the journey... I'll get there...

    Ok, took longer than anticipated. Need to hit the shower and throw myself in bed. Nite nite & may we all have a great time with TESS tomorrow!

    Good morning all. Woke up to same weight yesterday. I'm only down .4 for Week 3 with only one more day to weigh in. I hope I get a whoosh tomorrow. I've been POP so it's probably just water filling up fat cells. Sigh. Cool thing is though that all my black work shirts (for real estate expo, which is this week) are TOO big! I have to make a quick stop to Express to get another shirt before expo starts this afternoon. We have to remember that when we aren't losing lbs, we are definitely losing inches! I was a size 14/16 when I started back in November, now my 12s are loose and my XL's definitely are baggy. Even large shirts (some of them) are too big. I definitely need a new bra, but I want to wait until I get down to the 60s and well into P3 for the reshaping process. Only one person at work has noticed I've lost weight. Oh well. At least, I've noticed and I feel good and that's all that matter. My confidence is back, finally!

    Carol, more work on our plates, you and me both, girlfriend! They are not onerous tasks, running a lady to the hairdresser, taking a deposit to the bank, walking the mail around to the rooms... NOT rocket science, but dang, it cuts into my Lovely Time! LOL. And I still gotta get MY work done!

    Randi, dang! I aready had a banana! (I NEVER eat bananas! How random is that?) Well, vodka is frowned on while at work...

    Nat! Clothes too big! wahoooo!

    I weighed last night, just to give myself a gentle warning about what was to come today, and I weighed the same as I had yesterday morning! I thought, well, that has to be good! I will have to be down tomorrow, cuz I am always down at LEAST a pound and a half overnight.

    Nope. Weighed the exact same as last night this morning!

    I would think the scale was stuck, but my measuring tape is scolding me, too. Up about 2 1/2 inches by gaining 5 pounds. That is just wrong!

    I have NOT been eating nuts prior to this, but had some mixed nuts the last two nights...who am I kidding: had A LOT of mixed nuts the last two nights, and both nights got really bloated and miserable. (yeah, I know, took me TWICE to figure that out.) At least I won't be buying those ever again! EV.ER.

    I will just keep on keeping on!
