Hello Lovelies from a cold Texas.

I know the Lovelies from more northern states, as well as Canada are snickering at me right now, but for Texas, it is cold. Wind Chill is about 8 degrees. I don’t own any sort of outerwear to go with that kind of weather – just short jackets and very thin gloves. My scarves are all decorative rather than warming.

Of course by Saturday, I'll be back in shorts.

    December in Texas.jpg

AFM – Down to 175. 175 is still 15 pounds too high, but it sure beats the hell out of 178.

I have no idea why the massive fluctuation (remember, last week I was at 174 at doc's office, and that was fully clothed and it was early afternoon, not first thing in the morning!), but I’ll just keep on keeping on and be even more careful that I thought I was being. Oh, and I'm going back to weighing every stinking day. It does mess with my emotions and I DREAD it, but if I don't, small creeps sneak up on me and then I'm looking at losing the exact same 12 or 15 pounds on the next P2 that I lost on the last P2 (which is where I am right now). I have to admit it - TESS keeps me accountable.

Carry – thanks for the magnesium chart. I do take mag citrate and have for years now, but specifically because it keeps me regular.

There is another I take (when I remember to) that is a slow release magnesium (Mag Malate) which is probably better for me, but I never get a Boom-Shaka-Laka from it.

Amber – I use coconut aminos because soy does not like me at all – so I can’t use Bragg’s.

GiGi – 10 in 8 days is excellent! Stay with whatever works for YOU.

Lots of meetings today so I wanted to check in early. Evahbody stay warm!
    Christy

    Lulu,
I didn't think I would like mustard on shrimp, but it's amazing how gratefulness changes your taste! When need to shore up protein calories for 2.0, it's shrimp now, THANKS TO YOU. I ventured last night and combined mustard and Frank's hot sauce. Yum!

Maybe your dose is off if you are hungry.
    Speaking of doses off.....
I had to mix my 2nd vial, on VLCD12, to complete the rest of that day's injection since only .3 of .5 was available.

First thing I noticed is that the vial did NOT include liquid, but powder. Ok. So the 1st vial was hCG in liquid already & the 2nd in powder form, so I need to add one more ml bacteriostatic water than the first vial. Wait! Was the first vial just powder?! I could have sworn it was liquid.... that's why I mixed it with seven ml bacteriostatic water to make 8ml.

    2000 iu / 8=250.5=125 iu
16 days, inject 0.5 cc per day
    -OR- .6=150IU = 13.33 inj

So when I calculated what I had done.... figuring I mixed total of 8ml, the number of injections for that one vial did NOT calculate. Hmmmm.... maybe that 1st vial was just powder and it was really only 7ml total--making that mix more potent. Aha! I recalculated it and Ta-Da! That's apparently what I did! No wonder I was getting more hungry than usual. AND only 13.3 injections instead of 15.6 injections.

So the 2nd vial is properly accounted for and mixed. No hunger now. Big difference. Since I'm at 125iu now, I'll get 16 injections from this 2nd vial, except for the fact I used an extra .2 or 50iu since I didn't realize my error yet.

What I thought was the initial two days of '150iu' was really 171.43iu
Likewise, the 11 days of '125iu' was really 142.86iu. No wonder!
    Sigh.....

So what you said was SO true in my case:
"Maybe your dose is off if you are hungry."

Thanks for all the magnesium info! I’m putting in an order with Vitacost today and the mag naturemade gels are there. Woot!

I'm down .6 today. Still correcting from my weekend of bad decisions. Got a no sugar/salt chicken broth yesterday and made chicken/fennel/basil soup. It was delicious! However, I ate a huge bowl at like 7:30 and I think that's why I wasn't down more this morning. I'm going to try to eat smaller meals during the day so I'm not all stuffed full right before bed. I'm still using about 1 Tbs. of avo mayo a day and decided to not go into the realm of MCT or coconut oil this round. Gotta play it safe. I'm mainly sticking to chicken and light tuna for my proteins and then occasionally egg whites for breakfast. Boy, I hope I don't start getting a meat aversion.

Gearing up for a busy work week with the real estate expo (which means longer hours and about 15 face to face consultations...also have sell, sell, sell) so I'm going to prepare my food and take it with me along with getting a ton more sleep at night.

    Onward!

    Hello Lovelies!

I'm back again. Today is VLCD 1. I have to lose the same 30lbs again after getting lazy on my habits from October to now. Basically if I'm not losing... I'm gaining... I have to work on a better long term maintaining road for myself. I do good with P3 so it's not that. Anyway, I look forward to losing and checking in with all you.

Welcome back, Sarah! I also gained during the fall - about 15 lbs. I'm in another round right now correcting that gain and hope to get into some new territory. It's really tough maintaining but I hate having to lose what I've already lost over and over again. Hope we can figure this out! Good luck!

Hey GiGi you and I are really close in our current round, days & losses ...I'm P2 VLCD8 -10.2 lbs. I also follow the OP. My losses are starting to slow down (-.2 the last two days) which I know are typical . I find myself looking searching around for any new things that might help in keeping the scales moving down. One thing I'm considering trying now are "California Kickers" Some say they help keep things moving along.

    Have you ever tried them?

Besides that, have a good night(or morning to our international friends) out there.

Montague, Not sure if I saw an answer..... but don't worry about toothpaste. I use a flouride-free one, but that's me. I avoid flouride wherever possible.

I think the recipes I found might help me with more variety.
I suspect you didn't mean 200 grams of protein..... it would take A LOT of chicken to get 200 gr protein. (That's why I asked what were you having to get 200gr protein.)

200 grams of protein is only 7 ozs (100 grams = 3.5 ozs). Right?

    10:30AM Orange 59 Calories
    1:00PM Tomato & Ground Beef 170 Calories
    3:50PM Strawberries 55 Calories
6:50PM Ground Beef & Romaine Lettuce & Onion & Lemon Juice 188 Calories
    Total: 472 Calories

Hope to see you all around!
I did the original protocol for three rounds, but now that I'm on 2.0, I can't help but think it a healthier option. We are all not the same size. It doesn't make sense that everyone have the same 500 calories.

    How are you feeling?
