    I actually got the salsa verde and have used it with tuna. Pretty good. Definitely keeps me from choking. The dry texture of tuna can be problematic if I try to eat too fast.

    regarding the ginger syrup, I just sort of made it up! I took about 4 packets of stevia and probably about 1/2 cup of water and put it into a shallow pan on the stove. Then I took some fresh ginger, peeled it, chopped it coarsely, and added it to the stevia/water mixture. Probably about 1-2 T of ginger. Then I brought the mixture to a boil, stirred it until the stevia dissolved, then reduced the heat, let it go for about 3-5 minutes, then turned it off and let it cool for 30 min for the syrup to absorb more of the ginger flavor. Add to taste to sparkling water and ice, and add some fresh mint for fun!

    Is canned Tuna Fish Ok?

    Iíve noticed a few of you ladies talking about tuna. Is canned tuna ok or only fresh?

    Tuna is not on Dr S. original protocol. Some people eat it anyway and do ok.

    Hey Jules! Every morning I do exactly the thing your talking about. I open my notepad on my computer and log every fruit, protein, and vegetable as well as there calories so I'm positive I dont go over. I highly suggest you try this as it has helped me a lot!!! Here is a example of one of my daily logs:

    1/24/2018
    Apple 80
    Chicken & Spinach 107
    Homemade Lemonade 15
    Fish Tomato Mixture 123
    Strawberries 55
    Melba Toast 60
    Total: 440

    Anyways.. Good luck! Don't be discouraged by the number. This diet was made with the title "Pounds and Inches" for a reason. Sometimes you lose pounds, sometimes you lose inches.

    Weight Gain

    Iím really disappointed I had a weight gain this morning. Yesterday I weighed 283.4 this morning Iím back at 286.7. I keep re weighing myself but my scale wouldnít change her answer. Any help would be appreciated i think itís either my chicken pizza or coconut oil cooking spray.

    Chicken Pizza Ingredients

    3.5 oz/100 grams lean chicken tenders smashed topped with Italian seasoning
    1 pan fried tomato for sauce
    2 Tbs of cottage cheese (Another forum said this amount is a ďfreebieĒ

    Last night was the first time I tried this recipe and never ate cottage cheese before

    I also bought Coconut Oil Spray for my Omelettes

    Maybe your body isn't doing well with the cottage cheese. I doubt the coconut oil spray would be the culprit. Did you eat anything suspect the day before? Sometimes there's a little delay with the scale.

    The day before I ate asparagus baked in chicken broth. It had caused a slight gain last time I ate it last week. When I ate it again I still lost so I figured the first time was just a fluke.

    P2VCLD15 in progress... hcg 3.0... same weight as yesterday.

    Good morning, Lovelies!

    Just a little update on the variety of issues I had almost a week ago, if anyone is curious:
    * Scalp irritation from hair color is virtually gone. Yay! (not sure if partially hcg-related)
    * Big toes appear to be getting better, in my non-professional medical opinion. There is no longer any swelling. There is still some discoloration at the tips, but it's darker than before, like the way color changes as a bruise heals. I have been using arnica bruise cream on them twice per day, taking arnica pellets a few times throughout the day, taking extra potassium, taking l-arginine, and most importantly I increased my carbs since they were too low. I started having 1/2 glass of red wine with dinner, too.

    I was hungry yesterday throughout the day, so I skipped my dose today. I've been taking 1/4 pellet per day for a few days now. I'm not sure it's possible for me to cut these any smaller. I might be licking pellet dust off my fingertip by the end of this round.

    I have to travel to Mexico Monday-Tuesday (VLCDs 18-19) for work, which should be interesting. I usually like to have salads when traveling on P2, but this delicate American stomach may not be up for uncooked veggies south of the border. Fortunately, I should be able to arrange one meal each day at the Houston airport. So I'm feeling ok about it.

    Hmm. Is there any sugar or starch (not worried about carrot extract) in your chicken broth?
