    The broth I’m using is Kroger’s fat free 33% lower chicken broth I posted a pic. The Italian seasoning is Kroger’s brand no sugar listed. Pictureimage.jpg

    Yes, Iíve had vodka/soda & rum/diet coke with no problem on P2 (only 1 or 2 max) but the problem is stopping at 2! And then if I donít stop, I tend to make bad decisions!!! I had a martini on Wednesday, and only a .2 gain on Thursday, but then a 2 pound loss Friday.
    I know Christy will have a vodka on P2 every now and then. You could try it and see how you do. Im just happy knowing I donít HAVE to drink, but I sure do WANT to some nights. Itís mostly a social/party thing.... Kind of like pizza! Lovely Losers are Joyous and Jammin in January

    Hi Everyone! Boy oh boy, love how chatty this group is but I have not been able to catch up. LOL Read everything just no time to do personals, sorry!

    I do remember, I think it was @Beachy, about your mom? If is not, I am so sorry. Just wanted to say like I think Christy said, how about just starting out by cutting sugars & grains? Maybe she can start with a Paleo style and/or Whole30? Slowly but steadily making the necessary changes until she can ease herself into Keto? Small changes, one at a time. That is what I did before starting HCG last year and it really helps because you kind of “shrink” a bit your stomach and of course, cleanse & detox and then ease yourself into HCG or which every WOE she feels better doing. JUST a thought! Hope she feels better soon!

    Cannot remember who asked about Pork Rinds, I eat them as chips with guacamole all the time… Yuuuummm!!!! Anywho…. Yes, use them as breadcrumbs and they’re amazing! For chicken, you can even mix the crumbs with baking powder and other seasonings of your preference and you will have the juiciest and crispiest baked chicken ever! Baking powder makes the chicken so crispy is incredible! LOVE it!

    Who did the pizza with Cottage cheese? 1 cup of it has about 6g of carbs. Maybe it threw you off the amount of carbs for that day? JUST a thought!

    Hello to the new ones, congrats on all the amazing loses everyone! Sorry for the gains.... It WILL get better; we CAN do this!

    AFM, I am having a bit of a hard time adjusting to the lower macros and protein is always my downfall (TOO much of it). But I am happy cause even after going a bit over my set macros, I am still losing. -6 in total, so already lost the loading weight. Keeping track of every meal really does help me so my OCD is part of my security blanket so I can see what has worked and what hasn't.

    Tomorrow we have a get-together at a friend's house. I volunteered to bring the salad just in case it turns out there is nothing else I can eat plus will do IF. We'll see how it goes!

    None for me either today! I was trying to rally a friend to go out to dinner, but she couldnít. So I stopped at the local taco shop, got a carne Asada burrito, brought it home, and unrolled it, and scraped it onto a bed of spring mix. Itís just the meat, guacamole and salsa Fresca. No cheese or anything else. So it was pretty clean for 3.0
    I am just to lazy to cook for myself when everyone else is gone! And I had been out shopping for jeans, and do you know what happened??? I brought 6 pairs of pants into the dressing room, and walked out with FIVE PAIR!! OMG! That NEVER happens! Usually I walk out with nothing. Got 3 pairs of jeans and 2 pair of cute black slacks that are like cigarette pants. They end above the ankle and are kind of skinny. I got a size 8 that fits me now (a tad big) and a size 6 that is a tad too snug for me right now, but Iíll be able to wear them soon!! (Same maker:TAHARI, but they were super cute, and on sale!!!)

    Yay Randi! Feels so good to not get totally freaking frustrated with clothes not fitting. I usually felt more like crap shopping now itís fun. Glad you were able to have dressing room success!

    Randi, Vegas sounds fun. I hope the PI well.

    Natalie, I drank once in P2 and stalled for two weeks! I did over indulge and had about 4 vodka sodas water, but whatís the point of just one ?

    T1ghtwad, I also had a cheat dream last night! It was crazy I was at some crazy fancy restaurant with family and at first I ordered POP and then all the sudden they started bringing out all this gourmet food and I was shoveling in as much as could. Scallops and pasta and everything was in melted Cheese! I miss me some cheese!!! It was so vivid at the time. I was so upset with myself.

    Jmmadox, I try to get broth without yeast extract. Letís see if anyone else chimes in. I also try to find lower sodium broth.


    AFM, I stepped on the scale and saw 166.6 ! I didnít know if I should be happy or frightened. I stepped on the scale again saw the same number , then ďgrabbed a catĒ got a bigger number then tried again sans cat saw 166.4 , did one more time and the scale kept going back and forth between 166.4 and 166.6. So, I will take the larger number and say I have a 1.8 lb loss today!! I am weighing later in the day then normal so could be why such a big loss. Vlcd 12 and down 14.4!

    AFM Ė down to 175 this morning.

    Have no idea why I dropped 1.4 overnight but hooray Ė I will be eating a lot of healthy fat while loading this weekend to control loading weight gain. Iím glad I just kinda forgot to make chili over the holidays, so I can make it now and enjoy it with lots of avocado and cheese crisps.     But I find a way to cram it down once a week in P2, which is the ONLY time I ever eat Tuna fish and only out of the packets. I canít even stand the smell of tuna in a can.

    Montague Ė Good for you on logging your food! I log every morsel even thought from time to time I get totally annoyed with the process, even if I know I have to do it. If I donít, portion size will get away from me. Even thoí I gave up sugar and all grains years ago, you can still gain weight if you eat too much of anything. And yes, donít forget those inches you are losing as your body learns to burn fat! I love this protocol because you get a body re-shaping effect when you are in P3 if you continue to eat clean food. The combination works so well together.

    Jmaddox Ė was it Good Seasons Italian Seasoning? I always gain at least a pound overnight when I eat that Ė I love it but it does contain 2 different types of sugar Ė Sugar (which is the 2nd ingredient) and Maltodextrin, as well as Soy and wheat, both of which cause me inflammation. Seasonings can be tricky. I also love Cavender's Greek Seasoning but I have to use it carefully - it also contains sugar AND cornstarch and something called "flavor based seasonings" and who know WHAT that is.

    One other ďfunnyĒ thing Ė cooked tomatoes make me gain from inflammation. I can eat raw tomatoes all day long, but if they are cooked or canned, boom Ė Iíve got a gain. Have you ever noticed a sensitivity to cooked tomatoes? So if I eat both? Ka-POW, I could go up 3 pounds overnight. Just a thought.
    Good to know about the can tomatoes. I just bought some yesterday to make P2 Chili for the 1st time. Looking back on my my notes last time eating grass fed beef my losses were low. I've been debating on change anything right now because thing are going well this far.

    WOW...6 pound loading...you know how to load! My second day loading foods totaled 350 fat grams...not a lot of sugars/carbs. Gain 3 pounds. This round has felt way better than my 1st round. Wishing you the best on your P2 round
