Thread: Lovely Losers are Joyous and Jammin in January

  1. #757
Hi Carol-Thanks for the reply. I'm very curious to hear about the HCG 3.0 following keto macros. Can you share a link to more information? Thanks @Jessie for the encouragement. Maybe round 2 will be easier for me too. I'd like to think so, since I haven't resumed any bad habits. Mentally preparing myself now for the discipline it takes to kick this off the right way. I think I'll write a list of 3-4 lunches and 3-4 dinners that sound appetizing, and just plan to rotate through them during the first week or two. Keeping it simple works best for me.
After many years since last HCG dieting, considering myself R1. Hoping to lose 16 lbs or more on this round.

    P2 - Week 1

    Hello Lovelies ~

    P2/VLCD3 – 175.6 (-1.0)

Down a pound today. Now that is more like it!

    Thumbs UP.jpg

Of course, St. Jim is down FIVE. (MEN! Sheesh!)

NOTE: I will pull together the new February Thread starter in a while, and post it.

Shmeans – post all you want, darlin’!

Vsharp – what is in your version of cabbage soup? Jim loves cabbage in all forms, but I don’t and I’m always looking for something new to use it in. Now that my local grocery store shreds and packages fresh cabbage, I need to find new ways of using it. It has been so cold lately, I’d love to add a new soup to my P2 repertoire

My last P2 I made up a beef and cabbage dish that Jim wants me to make again - ground beef, shredded cabbage, riced cauli, ½ onion (sautéed in MCT oil) coconut aminos and chicken broth + seasonings. Because that was all I had in the house! And I was SO! TIRED! of grilled or baked chicken.

And btw, not sure if I mentioned it, but Jim is very allergic to shellfish, so none of that at our house. Ever.

Tightwad – way to go on the steps! That is the ONE thing I can do and keep up with – walking (or doing my elliptical) and both of those things have ALWAYS = better P2 losses for me . . . but have to wait ANOTHER 3 weeks for my broken foot to heal before I can even attempt any of that. Just regular day-2-day coming to work and running errands walking is about all I can do.

T1, hope you got some sleep after all and feel better today. You have really been pushing it. The things we do for kids!

Christy, POUND DAY! Woop woop! St. Jim lost 5 over night? Men. Can't live with them, can't shoot them.

Busy day today so this is a fly by. B&B guests all here for a funeral, and with two days notice, they decided to have the after service reception HERE. Uh, okay. We will adapt.

I'm down a very nice 2.2 today. That's what I'm talking about! My fear is that losing the SDP (Same Damn Pounds!) over and over, it will get harder each time. Only time will tell.

Onward, and ....wait for it...... Downward!

    Legendary, right?

My cabbage soup was just water, spices, and cabbage! It was super lame. I loved the spice though - used cayenne. Always helps when I'm feeling sick to have some cayenne. Your version of cabbage soup sounds AMAZING. I'm just nervous about using broth because I did on the day before a gain so have been very strict about staying OP. I don't mix veggies, no fats, nothing not on the OP. My body likes to float around 150 so I have a feeling I'm going to hit a plateau once I get there, so i'm trying to charge full steam ahead to *hopefully* blast past that weight. Fingers crossed!

Congrats on the loss today! That's awesome.

Christy-for soup this round I did Trader Joe's chicken broth, chicken and either added broccoli or cabbage for my veggie in the soup. For soup meals, I usually skipped a fruit. It was nice as a winter meal. I steamed the broccoli before hand, but just added the raw cabbage to the broth while heating on the stove. Chicken was also pre-cooked.

Love the cabbage soup discussion. I love cabbage, but miss stirfrying it with coconut oil, onions and bacon! A favorite in my house that I will NOT cook for the family until P3 because I could not resist that temptation... I make cabbage soup as a regular item during P2. I also use broth, precooked chicken and spices, then just add the cabbage. Last time I got creative and added diced ginger and mushrooms. Mushrooms don't affect my losses, but are not OP. Nice change, and it did not affect my losses. I have added canned diced tomatoes in the past, but I always stall or gain when I do...

So happy to hear about everyone's losses this morning. I slept well (once I fell asleep), and have lost 0.4 of my gain, so at least it wasn't more gain or sticking... I still have major inflammation in my mid/lower back and my feet are very swollen and sore. Should see a good whoosh when this all goes down!

Bought a new skirt yesterday without trying it on. It really caught my eye, but was an 18 - not 18W - and did not have an elastic waist (I wear a 20/22/24, depending on cut). Thanks to hcg, I have full confidence that I will be wearing that skirt soon, and I have just the blouse to go with it.

Thank you Christy for the gallbladder keto link and ideas! I'm so sad it has gotten so bad for her, but it has scared her into losing the weight. She's eating lower carb. No grains at all, and only a little bit of starchy veggies and fruit. It's working! Her doctor and nutritionist said absolutely no to Keto for her because of issues with her organs/infections recently.

    Red face Onederland!

Lovelies! Congratulations on the weight loss! So many lbs coming off this January! It's a great start to the year! Woo hoo!

Shmeans! Yay for the steady weight loss and getting those steps!

Pearly, You are funny! I'm happy to hear you are able to eat fat without the gallbladder! I'm sorry though you had to have it out for no reason! You're the second person I've heard a similar story from!

Natalie, You have had success with a PI so you will do great! I think for me, even though I stuck with P3 foods stricty, the time was too short so I ate out sooner, and eating out (even though it was a burger) was way too soon. I think if I do an interruption in the future, it will be a full P3 so it's more like I'm starting a new round.

Lovlies, today is the day I am in onederland! Just! 199.4 and hopefully more down this round!

Jules, I requested it from the IT guy via PM, but I think it took a while for him to see it. Does anyone know of there is a better method?
