Thread: Lovely Losers - Magnificent in May

  1. #13
Tanya: I would LOVE to be in the 130's but I started this round a lot higher lol 145-ish will be ok for this time but I need to continue to lose and keep exercising!

Beachy: My total VLCD's will be 18 so not too much shorter than a normal short round but I had to cut it a little short so I can be somewhat settled into P3 before all my trips

rkthin: I normally start P3 with adding eggs and different meats. I try to add things like nuts later on and don't start out with too much milk either. Plain almond milk usually does well for me and I have a lot of protein shakes

I'm not sure what my weight is today. Yesterday was my LDW at 148.0. I went to the gym again last night - we're doing 4-5 days per week - so hopefully I'm 148 or below. I'll check tomorrow tho!
    LDW: 152.2 from last round

    New round: P2 starts 08/06/19
    Starting weight: 156.0
    Current weight: 147.0

    Goal: 140-145

    P3 - Week????? I really don't know . . .

    Hello Lovelies ~

    OWLS.JPG

Sorry I've been very MIA. I was pretty sick for the first 3 weeks of April. Felt better last week, then relapsed into a (hopefully) not as intense version of The Creeping Crud last week. Sheesh. Feeling better now, but April floated totally away from me, on a cloud of OTC cold medications day & night and multiple doc visits, while I tried to save what little brain power I still had for my office work. I seriously don't remember a whole lot of April.

At least I remembered to set up our May thread! That's a win. Thanks to everyone for making The Jump Over.

    AFM - ??????????
I have no idea what I weigh. Once again, I have concentrated on getting well. I know I've gained some (my normally a tad big jeans this morning were tight - ) but I just had to get well. I started my clean eating over again on Sunday and giving myself until Saturday of this week before I allow TESS back in my life. Too much going on in May for me to do a P2 now, but I'm planning one after's Daughter's b'day celebration on 5/27. I'll have the whole month of June to lose The Creeping Crud weight I've gained. I know I will because HCG WORKS.

Best to all of you in P2 or trying to maintain in P3, as both are equally as challenging to me! I'll try to do better to check in more often.

AND . . .Just for giggles.

Only in Texas do you see an alligator and a Whataburger in the same picture!!

    Only in TX - a Gator and a Whataburger.JPG

(BTW, the Gator is fine - Some big-hearted Texans have relocated him to a marshy lake in East Texas, instead of being at the side of a major Interstate where he was nearly killed.)

Hey ladies! Iím a native Texan so that photo is funny!

I need advice. We are making a very difficult decision today and all of my extended family is coming to town. I am thinking of not injecting today and just doing the best I can until everyone leaves.

If Mom agrees with the doctor then I will be saying goodbye to her in the next week or two. We would take her off her dialysis and dextrose and antibiotics and Medicate her to keep her comfortable.

I am down 10 lbs and am not eating much just because I am heartbroken.

Should I fill all my syringes and freeze them?

    Charlie,
I'm not sure what the right answer is since I've never done injections. Perhaps you can not inject and treat it as skip day and stay on protocol???

I'm sorry your going through this hard time. I hope you have lots of support there, but you for sure have support here!

I haven't posted since April! Lovely Losers - Magnificent in May Happy May!

Today is VLCD 10 and I'm down 11 lbs. This is my first week playing softball two nights a week. I'm super sore today from Monday's night double header. I tried stretching good for tonight's game, but my legs never got loose. I'm sitting in the tub now soaking. I hope tomorrow doesn't show a gain with this muscle soreness. I'm just glad I'm seem to have my strength and energy to keep up.

My friend seems to be well too, and I'm happy for that.

I miss checking more often but this is when life really picks up for me and get busy.

Thank you RKthin! The stall broke today on! 2 lbs down! 197. This is my lowest weight in more than a decade! The food list is a great idea! I repeat the same foods over and over (even for such a short list! ha!). I eat a lot of cabbage and celery but make myself throw in the radishes, spinach (frozen cooked in broth or fresh) lettuce & other greens. I usually have Kirkland's chicken broth every day but have not been having it much this round. Sometimes I put juice of a lemon and ACV on my salad. So I've been trying to vary it slightly by having the occasional orange instead of just apples. I've had several over the last couple weeks, but don't know if they contribute to the stalls. Last week, I had cooked tomatoes as a soup, and I know they are a problem if I have them too often. So I limit them to a few times a round. This round I am only eating chicken. Beef seems to stall me. I eat 3 oz. or just under of cooked boneless chicken breast. I have long stalls especially in the end of a 40 day round and then usually big drops right at the end. So I really hope that is happing now too! Here's what I've eaten this week. Advice is welcome:

    Lunch:
Apple (sometimes with organic Ceylon cinnamon)
3oz. cooked chicken breast (no fat)
    2 Large radishes
    pink Himala salt

    Dinner:
    Apple
3 oz cooked chicken breast (no fat)
    huge handful celery
pink Himala salt, garlic & onion powder or Old Bay

    Lunch:
    Apple
    3 oz chicken breast &
huge handful chopped cabbage cooked in broth with salt, garlic powder, and curry powder

    Dinner:
    Apple
    3 oz. chicken breast
    huge handful of spinach
    Himala salt, onion powder

In the evenings I have been having a couple mugs of very weak coffee with stevia. I put stevia in my teas all day. I eat a LOT of salt. Pink sea salt from Himala brand. I have low blood pressure and doc says that the salt is fine. It doesn't seem to make me retain water or maybe I just can't tell because I have always consumed lots of it.

Christy, I hope you feel better! Yikes about that gator!

Charlie, I am sorry to hear about what your mom is going through and the decisions you have to make! Do what will bring you most peace in this time. If you aren't eating a lot, staying on protocol will be one great thing you can do right now. But if it is too much, you'll know.

    Beachy,

How come only Chicken? I understand not wanting to eat much beef because of possibly stalls. I try to limit the beef intake as well, but I always alternate my proteins during the day like OP. Throw in some fish or shrimp every once in a while to switch it up. Cabbage can also cause me to bloat and retain water so I sometimes have to limit how many times I eat that even thought I enjoy it a lot. I try never to eat beef or shrimp with cabbage because they all seem to slow me down. I also try to limit how much canned tomato I intake as well.

Celery and Spinach are so boring to me. lol I'm doing better with adding spinach but celery just seems so bland by itself. Do you have any suggestions on how to make spinach not boring My staple veggies are Asparagus, Cooked Radishes, Zucchini (not OP)

    AFM,
The Detox bath did me good. I dropped 1.4lbs. I'm still sore, but not as sore.

Charlie: I'm so sorry you're going through that right now We're here for you if you need anything. That's an incredibly tough thing to go through.

    Christy: Glad you're feeling better!

Sarah: Detox baths are AMAZING! Unfortunately my tub at my new-ish house isn't comfy at all so I haven't taken one in a while Good job on being down so much!

AFM: Today will be 1/2 P2 and 1/2 P3. My last drops were taken Tuesday morning, so breakfast was strawberries and lunch will be a nice salad with more than just lettuce and tomatoes lol

Congratulations on finally breaking the stall! Nice loss, and I hope it is followed by a few more days of big losses!

I also have low bp, and have to consume salt or it drops too low. I use Celtic Sea Salt, because it has a higher magnesium content.
