Thanks, Christy and Randi! I'm feeling soooo much better being lighter. I think we can all agree THAT always feels great!

AAAHHHH!!! TOM is killing me! I'm so hungry and I have a yucky headache! I broke down and had a quarter of a grissini just now and I'm struggling not to raid my snack drawer here at work. I have a jar of peanut butter that I swear I can hear calling my name! I was down 6oz this morning and I only have through the end of next week to finish P2. I just have to keep reminding myself that I can do this. Just typing this I think has settled me down a bit but I'm soooo hungry

@Natalie - great job! So glad that you feel better being lighter. I notice that I can climb stairs so much easier now. It used to be an effort, but now it's about the same as walking on a flat surface. Love the hair too, very nice curls!

    Skin question

So, I am down 40 lbs and am trying to figure out what to do about all this skin. Up until this week, it has been cold enough (especially with me freezing from the HCG) to wear long sleeves and long pants, so not really a big deal, BUT, it is supposed to be in the high 80s this weekend and at some point, I will have to ditch the long sleeves and wear shorter pants. For the pants, I can stick with capris for a while and my calves look "OK", but boy, my thighs, arms, and belly skin looks like the skin of a 95 year old! Crepey, you know, and very loose. I tried some Gold Bond Ultimate for a couple of days (stopped because I remembered lotion can stall you). It helped with the dryness, but didn't do much for the wrinkles. I read some old posts about saggy skin, but couldn't find a definitive answer.

My question is, how long does this crepey effect last and I would appreciate any advice of how you Lovelies deal with, or have dealt with this in the past. TIA

Linderlou - have you ever tried dry brushing? After having five boys, I have loose skin and stretch marks on my belly and thighs. I started dry brushing about 5 years ago and noticed a dramatic improvement in skin elasticity and fading of stretch marks. It's a better, cheaper option than surgery so I'm glad I tried that first. Research and see if you want to start doing that. Good luck!

P.S. Thanks for the compliment! Congrats to you on losing 40 lbs. That is no easy task. You go, girl!

Thanks for the compliment as well.

You know, I did skin brushing for a few months about 10/15 years ago. I did it more for the homeopathic aspect, than for the skin improvements. I stopped after a few months because I didn't feel like it was doing anything.

Just went and looked at my list of boxes in the attic. I guess I didn't specifically note which box the brush is in, so I guess I will just order one from Amazon and give it a try again. Thanks for the tip!

ETA: I hope it doesn't take 5 years to see improvements! How long do you think before you noticed improvements in skin elasticity?

    Done!

Ok, I can breathe now. More relaxed.. The metrics is done and sent to my favorite T-Rex like @Christy calls them. Feel much better now.

Tomorrow off to my yearly physical 1st thing in the morning. Lets see what the Dr says (diff one from the clinic I am going to for the hcg). Cannot wait to see the results off my blood work, etc. I took myself off (yup, myself) the metformin and cannto remember the other med (for cholesterol) as soon as I started on HCG.

I hope I can sleep better tonight and release the stress and everything else so TESS loves me passionately tomorrow morning. (cause if not I will be cranky as hell! )

I'd like more info on the Jicama tortillas as well pretty please! Yuuuuummmm!!!!! I can see myself using them for nachos, "frito-jicama" chili pie... Hmmmm... I better shut up (more like stop typing duh...) or I'll get myself all hungried up here...

Well, pretty tired. Brain is fried. Have a good evening everyone.

Today is my first injection day after TOM and I'm dying!! I'm pretty sure my injections are no longer potent. I'm at a loss of what to do. I was planning on going for 40 injection days (8 more to go). I really don't want to end early as I'm SO committed and have so much more to lose. I did yard work today and am DEAD.. ate an extra grissini and am salivating over the ice cream in the freezer. My amazing husband is bringing me home watermelon as it helped to satiate me yesterday. I'm below the average of 0.5 lbs a day so want to catch up before I finish (13.8 loss and 32 days on P2). I'm OCD about this, should I just end now and be happy with the losses thus far? I would settle for 4 more lbs I need some adrenaline for my last stretch!! I do have old drops from a round my mom did but am hesitant to try them, but maybe it would help me get through this last week. Thank you in advance for any input you may have!

LinderLou, I like the sound of your all in one bathroom vent!

Rose, thank you! I like that ... in by inch indeed!

Carol, Thank you! I know you are happy and melting too! No, the only flat surface near the bedroom is the bathroom. I've decided to just keep the scale in the bathroom for now since it is working pre-steam. If we eventually get a new scale, I will keep it in the bedroom and move it to weigh. Yay for getting the work done! I'm sorry you had to lose those extra days, but you have a great attitude!

Lovlies, All of you talking about 2.0 make it sound so good! Has anyone noticed whether stabilizing is the same as with the regular protocol? It sounds like it is. I am chicken to try it, but I have only heard a synopsis. I did find another version called OWL (Omaha Weight Loss) free online a long time ago, but it looks like now you have to order the book. That one had more calories and more variety and mixed veg too.

Gypsea: Have you been skipping a dose every week? When you do injections you skip 1 day a week. Not sure if you already said that or not. You've lost almost 1/2 lb. per day and trust me, I know all about wanting just a few lbs. more You could try transitioning to P3 for 1-3 weeks then cycling back in. It's worked for me and others here but it can be a bit of a gamble.

Jules: So glad you made it! This really is one day at a time, so good job!

Re: Loose skin - I've been fortunate enough to not have many issues with that but others here have and they've tried various types of corrections for it. I believe SGR had a procedure done once...and others have tried creams for it. Hopefully they'll jump in and help

AFM: I had SO much sleep last night (probably 9-10 hours) and I'm up 0.2. I know why though. Gotta stay away from that popcorn! I'm gonna try the omelet today but then only nuts/beef jerky for lunch. Yesterday could have been the popcorn or the dressing/salad my co-worker gave me. The dressing has sugar but I tried my best to avoid the dressing and just eat the spinach. I probably didn't succeed as much as I'd hoped. Could also be normal fluctuation. I just hope I can stay on plan through the weekend after BF has his procedure tomorrow! I'll basically be his caregiver tomorrow-Sunday and probably after that too a little (but at least he'll be back to work!)

Hi all, I am day 2 of P3 of my 2nd round. I lost 17 pounds last time, and maintained most of it, so I am ready for some success! Good luck to all of you!
