Happy mothers' day to all mommas here!!!!

@Robin, I tried the cashew milk because of @Randi's recommendation. Is really good! Just like she says; creamier and really no strong flavor. I only use it every now and then though.

AFM, -1 today & happy about it of course. Staying home doing some stuff around the house and maybe some painting. Got a canvas there that has been staring at me for a while so lets see if I get inspired. My mom & and my daughters are all far from me so couldn't celebrate with them. DH wants to go out for dinner but as much as I appreciate that I told him I rather not have any temptations today and simply prepare my own meal here today. No biggie really! Best gift he could really give me is clean the house for me! He did help around the house yesterday so I am grateful for that.

Hope you are all having a great Sunday and for all Mommas here, hope you are all having an very blessed Mothers' Day!

    Hi Lovelies! Happy Mother's Day!!

Sorry I've been MIA. Got hit with an unexpected big project this week and a tight deadline. I have tried to check into the forum, but I'm hopelessly behind in reading posts. Will have to get to personals later.

I'm on P3 Day 10 and AT MY LIW of 136.6! I've been fluctuating between .6 below and .6 above LIW. So far haven't needed a steak day, yay! The biggest gain came from a day when I made a green smoothie for my kids and ran out of cashew milk (whoever recommended it, thank you!) so I added some almond milk. Had some smoothie the day before with no problems, so I had a small cup, and the next day I was up 1.2 lbs!! Read the almond milk label, and it turns out it has cane sugar. Grrr...!! Obviously, my body does not like sugar! I stayed at that weight for a few days, and today woke up to a .6 loss which puts me back at LIW. Mother's Day gift, PTL!

This scared me... does this mean I can never have even a bit of sugar again? I usually cook/bake with stevia, erythritol,, and zevia, but that means no desserts while eating elsewhere.

I am enjoying P3 with shiitake mushroom omelets, avocados, sugar free bacon, and lots of macadamia nuts! Have not had any dairy yet, other than ghee in my omelets. I am eager to get back to P2 (for the weight loss, not the P2 foods...sigh) so that I can work toward my goal weight!

Will try to catch up on the ~20 pages of posts and write more later. :-)

I have been MIA as well and slacking. Not with food but with weighing. I will in the morning. My brother is making dinner and it's enchiladas and other stuff. I am bringing a salad. Going to do the best I can. I never want to stipulate what I can and can't have. Maybe a steak day tomorrow to balance it out.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you ❤️

My Fitness Pal app. It is free and has a good diary to use to track protein calories and carbs in 2.0 and P3.

Janeen turned me onto it. She also taught me to put all my protein under one meal breakfast, and all my carbs under another meal, like lunch. You have to look at the nutrition break down to see the carbs, but you can track your protein calories easily with them all in one meal.

Lovely Losers - Magnificently motivated and meritorious in May!

SPOILER ALERT P2 GALS: P3 food pic below

P3D2, down .6 from yesterday, so comfortably below LIW. Wooohooo, big accomplishment! Two whole days!!LOL

Added HWC yesterday, and almonds. Safe to say they are still ok, which they better be! Have used both w no worries for 4 years, but one never knows.

I made those almond flour English muffins today. 2 tablespoons almond flour, one egg and 2 tablespoon unsweetened applesauce. Plus baking powder cinnamon etc. I put them into my fitness pal app and they have about 10 g of protein and six point something grams of carbs. And 181 calories. So I doubt I will have any trouble getting enough calories in today! And not adding any new foods, as I eat apples occasionally in P2

I made two batches, the first in the microwave for a single one and it came out perfectly. Then I tried a double batch and baked them in the oven in some cute little baking pans I found. The pans are too big, they came out too thin and ungainly sized. So guess I will make one at a time in the microwave from here on. I toasted one, that is one sliced into two, and warning they burn faster than they toast, but it was not bad!

    SPOILER ALERT P2 GALS:

Photo is both kinds after cooling. Butter knife for size reference.

I also had a Beginners version of Bulletproof coffee. Only used half as much coconut oil and butter as the regular recipe, and added my usual HWC.

I have to say it was awesome. I can see why they say to start w less oil and butter, tho. No need for magnesium w that much hot fat in your system!

    Ok. Must. Clean. House!

I personally tried WW when the points system was fairly new (one of the many diets I have tried in my life) and back then even though I started losing, then it stopped and I started up and down up and down all over the place and had the swollen fingers but did not pay attention to it thinking I was just even more fat.... Back then I never understood what was happening, Paleo was unheard of, and everyone was criticizing the Atkins diet so I gave up out of frustration.
Then years and years later I discovered hcg and for the 1st time, tried the no carbs no sugars style, and all of a sudden BAM! I discovered that was my route. But then even though I knew that was what worked for me I had no idea about the sensitivity to wheat/gluten cause my P3/P4 was very similar to P2 but adding more quantities (I was beyond desperate to lose weight) cause I never introduced those food items during that time.
Later on, I started gaining weight again and did Whole30 and the same happened but ignored it. Me being me, did not follow through so gained all of it again.
Then.....(sorry this is so long)...when I did my round in February, in my very short P4 (like a week), all of a sudden my fingers where swollen and my joints hurt (within a day or two of eating 2 sandwiches and literally 2 pastries) so..... now I know I'll just have to watch it from now on... I know I will not deprive myself off them, just have to control it, pick & choose which ever ones I want to indulge!

ALL that to say I FEEL YOUR PAIN BUT WE ARE BETTER OFF IT!!!! Hope my friend's paleo WW story gives you hopes! Again, she is doing very well and is loving it!!!
Yes, it goes give me hope. I also have leaky gut, but feel I've come a long way toward healing it. After years and years of problems I went to a nutritionist at Femme Center, named Tori Booker, and she put me on a three month regimen that honestly worked. I couldn't believe it. As a restult of my leaky gut, I have a condition called EoE (eospinifilic esophogitis) and after that 3 month regime and using my meds for EoE (Dexilant) I no longer suffer from my EoE symptoms, which was choking on food.

I mention the Femme Center by name, it's in Colleyville b/c I see you're from McKinney. If your friend is local, maybe she can look into it. My daughter was showing EoE symptoms and I put her on the 3 month plan, as well as getting her tested and on Dexilant as well, and she's much better. They are medical dr's but are more holistic. I saw the nutritionist there for the gut help tho. I see an allergist and a gastroenterologist for my EoE. However, all three things are tied together.

Like you, no matter how healthy I get, I still think bread is not something my body likes. My mouth sure does though.

Pearly- that steak and tomato sounds yummy!! Tonight I grilled boneless, skinless chicken thighs that were marinated in coconut aminos, garlic and the juice of 1/2 an orange. I also sautéed up some baby broccoli in chicken broth, garlic and lemon juice. It was awesome.
I was sooo busy today. Had a couple meetings. My last meeting with my mega rich client who I've done 4 previous projects for, went great!! I was nervous because he had given me a budget of $100k, and I came up with $108k but could not even include everything he wanted in that. So he asked what it would take to do everything. I told him $150k. He just said "ok. That's fine. Do it." Super happy, but now I have even more on my plate to finish in 1 week!!! Ahh! Lovely Losers - Magnificently motivated and meritorious in May!
Christy- I'm going to post my zoodler. I got it on Amazon for about $30.
Hey to everyone else. Have a great weekend!!
This is the zoodler I have also. Love it.

Good luck with your project! Sounds fun!

    My Safeway offers this:

They are part of Albertsons now and related are Vons, Pavilion's, Randall's, Tom Thumb Cards, Acme, Jewel-Osco, & Lucky.

This is all fresh and made in-store.

3 years ago I had to treasure hunt to find coconut oil In any grocery store besides Whole Foods, maybe finding 1 brand tucked away on a top shelf. Now, 3 stores I checked including Walmart had half a shelf of original, refined, liquid, half avocado oil... and 6+ brands of each, plus several sizes. SOMEONE is getting it!

Now if sweeteners were not mixed w cane sugar or Maltodextrin and labeled "baking stevia" or Baking Splenda".... !!!!

Wow, I wish our Safeway had an aisle like that! They also don't have the new Green Giant line of riced cauliflower, etc. I think their buyers are still in the dark ages... Maybe they don't think cowboys would eat that stuff...

    Hello all,
Happy Mother's Day to all you great moms out there!!
I am on my first loading day. Can't wait to get this weight off!!!!!
I mixed my 5000iu Ovidac with 15 ml total wound wash and took 1/2 ml this morning - hope that's right! Will take a second dose later. I will prepare my foods tonight for vlcd1 on Tuesday. I had a tough first round couple of years ago with a first week of weakness and then had to stop at 24 days because of severe constipation. I kept the weight off until this year. Have tried 3 other diets without success - maybe due to menopause?? So I am back with high hopes.

Good luck to us May - June peeps!
