As for myself I felt terrible my last P2 in the beginning. Sure enough my period came an entire week early! I was extremely weak and foggy and was beginning to panic. I ended up taking amino acids and that got my electrolytes back into balance and me off the couch. LOL I just sent the remainder of my amino acid drink mixes with my son to a very intense wrestling camp for the weekend as he will surely need them! Hang tough through the TOM and then hopefully things will start to be better for you!

Later last night, right after TOM arrived I went to stand up and completely blacked out. Had to grab the couch so I didn't hit the ground. I instantly grabbed a heaping tsp of BP as it is my go to if I get that bad (I'm anemic). I quickly felt better but not good enough to eat a full meal. I expected to wake up to a gain because of the PB or at least a stall but I was down. I am just curious if anyone has had these issues? I haven't blacked out that bad in a VERY long time.

Hate that part of p2! Hope things get moving for you soon. This time around I tried not to think about it too much as in other rounds it really bothered made me feel crazy. Also, I did feel it was so strange to eat so little yet look so prego. Extremely unfair during p2!

I'm curious to know how your switch up with food goes as I get ready for my PI next week. Good luck, gal!

Good to catch up on all of your posts! I started a little Christmas shopping yesterday. it was very nice to go out to lunch with friends...finally! Of course I had my burger without a bun which really isn't a big deal at all! Weight it good.

My poor dog came down with pink eye as did my daughter! Weird! My daughter went to urgicare but I am treating my dog with a mixture of green and chamomile tea. I am compressing it on her eye several times a day and allowing some to drip into her eye. Then, I am using my essential oil called, "Purification" around (not in) her eye bones! It is clearing up so nicely. She was PITIFUL. She doesn't normally welcome my medical interventions but she did which showed me how bad she felt! I told my daughter next time we will try that on her as it worked so well.

My 82 year old dad fell and hit his head and my poor mother has a baker's cyst on knee and is in misery. I mixed up some essential oils for her as well and she said it is giving her more relief than the ibuprofen cream. All of these things happened in 24 hours so it has been crazy.

I was a slow starter with the essential oils but am increasingly amazed at how well I am able to take care of so many things. I would say using them has saved me A LOT of money and time!

My son and husband are gone this weekend (wrestling camp) so I am trying to get my basement organized and figure out my Christmas shopping list as I hate to head into the holiday season with house out of order! Plus, I get a lot of time with my dear daughter this weekend.

P2 is hard on Saturday and Sunday but remember each are just another 24 hours to get through. You CAN do it!

The steroids are brutal and they do cause big time hunger. But, I agree they are a miracle drug and sometimes a necessary evil. I didn't that know that you have lupus. I have a good friend who is really struggling with it! I don't know a lot about it but I know it is tough so you are in my prayers!

I was ready to throw in the towel and then thought, "It's the increase in steroid meds. Could you imagine if you were in P3 or P4 and the meds were increased? I'd be gaining a lot right now." I'm retaining water, fighting steriod and the well know side effects of gaining weight on steriods. My hunger? It's also crazy. One minute I could chew off my arm, then all through the day, I'm fine. Really don't want any food. This is tough, but cannot imagine doing this in any other phase. it would have been so much worst.

Now, after 3 days of increased meds, my body could no longer hold on. Today I dropped 1.4 pounds, meds and all. I just shrug to think how bad this weight gain could have been if I were P3 or P4 during the increase.

Thanks P2 = you saved my ***... okay, and my thighs, and stomach and back fat and ... Loving P2 at the moment. There is no other phase I'd want to be in right now. To hell with steriods, but because of them I no longer need to walk with my cane. Just wish my lupus would take a much needed break and I am not gaining.

Hope my P2 buddies are loving it too. It really does show the problems that make us gain. Like them or not, we all have them.

Hey all! I am at the ski house putting the Christmas lights on before the snow flies. Also getting things organized. Finished some painting that we had started last spring.

Forgot my drops so I am going to have PI day on Saturday as we are going to a friends for dinner. Then back on track. I haven't been very good but I am at 140 and I want to be well into the 130's. I will get my head back in. I don't cheat with food but the odd drink has found its way to my hand!

I'm one of the lucky ones. My lupus flares every 3-4 years. When it hits, it lasts 6 - 8 months, then it's gone, like it was never there in the first place. Just wish I had a heads up. This last time I went to bed fine, when I woke the next morning, my hips burned. I just told myself I slept wrong and disgarded it. In about 5 days, I couldn't walk. Hate steriods. Hate walking on a cane. Guess this equals taking steriods.

Forgot your drops? Didn't Dr. Fraud, oh sorry meant Dr. Freud say we do unconsciously what we really wanted to do in the first place? Go PI and enjoy yourself. You've done so well on protocol and have provided me with so much inspiration on your journey. You go grrrrlll.

AND, the crack about "unconsciously," just kidding, darn Freud. He had mommy issues. Oh wait, he said it was all his patients who had mommy issues. Me, I had daddy issues. He was the first man I loved who commented on my weight.

Ain't that the truth. Down another pound today. Woke up fine, then this afternoon I was so very hungry, I just took my dog on a walk and let it go. Now my Dr allows me to inject myself on Friday's with a weekly dose. I find that on this injection day, I am holding water. No multiple bathroom runs like with other days. I am not looking forward to my results tomorrow. It will all be water weight but even water weight is so discouraging. Be strong, be strong - my little fat cells must release the water some day. P2 you're still my best-est friend.

AFM - Will still hold true to P2. Know in my heart if I didn't link the weight gain with the meds, this would have been a crazy/what the hell is happening / this time hcg is not working / why is everyone else losing and I'm not / the hell with this, I want a snickers bar / yadda, yadda, yadda, type of ending.

So stay strong my sista's. P2 is such a small part of the plan. P3 & P4 are the master tests. So glad I'm P2 right now. If not, I'd now be a raving weight gaining mess.

I'm still stuck, but I have a good feeling about tomorrow.

In other news, we have a new family member, and I'm in love! Now to name her...

Good morning! Last day of my work trip - THANKFULLY!!!! I am exhausted, my back and shoulders are jacked, and I miss my fam, DB, and bed. Driving back today and already have P2 lunch ready to go. I may have to stop at Wendy's or somewhere and get a salad with grilled chicken...any suggestions on good places?

Down 2 lbs this morning - was finally able to eliminate (sorry for tmi) - yess! VLCD17 and down 16.4 lbs total. I call that a victory. 3 more days of drops and then two days no drops, next Thurs starts my first day of PI and much needed road trip with DB. I hope to have lost at least 20 lbs by that point and will be super careful about introducing new foods so I can stay close or under LDW. I'm planning on hopping on P2 the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I'm wondering though if I'll need to load again since it will only be 10 days. What do you all think?

    Have a great day, everyone!

P.S. Janeen - CONGRATS on your new addition!!!
