This morning I was feeling fine, then I took my shot and got progressively more hungry. I ended up going off protocol, because I think it's wrong to try to maintain 500 cals when you are hungry. So I took advantage and took my daughter and her friend out for dinner. I figure my dose was too high, so I'll lower it tomorrow. The break was nice but I would rather just not have an appetite.

[QUOTE=beulah;809312]msaundrea, you need to get your head screwed on straight if you're going to get through. I made it through Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years and lots of birthdays, with all the parties, the goodies overflowing at work, etc. without cheating, not because I have enormous willpower, but because I knew what I was walking into, and a just kept telling myself over and over and over, "this is only one party, one meal....there will always be another," and the one that worked for me best: "It's not like all the good food in the world will disappear after today. It will still be there for me." Find something that works for you and say it over and over and over. I did have to walk out of one holiday part to get some air at one point, while nibbling on a lonely strawberry, but I made it through and felt sooo much better about myself. I don't want to feel bad anymore over a stupid bite of food or a drink. Your friends and family should support you not drinking or eating party foods.

I love what you said above! msaundrea - She is right! It is not over FOREVER, just for a month or so! You can do it! Maybe you can do sparking soda (it looks like vodka tonic) to fit in or a sugar-free ice tea (no one will know it's not hard ice tea!) I'm not sure what religion you are, but I have been telling people that I'm on a very "strict" diet for lent, and they usually understand b/c alot of people give things up for lent, so they don't push the issue at all.

I'm having an issue with hunger now. I'm on VLCD 2 and when I eat my lunch I can't finish it because I'm soo stuffed but maybe 4 hours later I'm starving again. Today I ate what I can for lunch and what I couldn't I ended up eating now (4 hours later) and I feel stuffed again. This morning my tummy was growling but after I ate my apple I was fine until lunch time.
    sometimes hungry the second day
    ask lynn about dose adjustments

Even if you were both doing 200 IU a day, that would still give you 100 doses, so 20 extras. You are injecting, right? If you are doing sublingual, that would mean you need more. HTH
Yeah, we're both doing sublingual so we're not going to make it on what I have.

The voice in your head that says you can't do it is a liar!

Msaundrea: First you need to decide if you are so hungry you could chew your arm off, or just have an appetite for your meals. If you don't have room for 3 oz of meat, an apple, a cup of veg and a tiny breadstick, then I think what you are experiencing is probably just that empty feeling, a desire to eat (which is a good thing), but not true hunger. What do you think? If that is what you have, then your dose is probably right. It is the *chew your arm off hunger* that we think of as real hunger. Which do you think it is?

Hi Everyone! I am new and just started with my injections and first load day today. I am very nervous but hopefully I will find a good support group here to help me through my journey. I am hoping to lose at least 30 pounds not sure how long it will take but hope to get to the 120's before summertime. Hopeful.

I'm not eating the bread this time and I usually don't eat my fruit with my meal. I'm injecting .30 with .15 b12. When I get hungry it's really hungry with an attitude. In the morning when my tummy started growling I drank more water and had the apple and was done until lunchtime.

It sounds to me like you are doing fine. If you get hungry and can satisfy it will your normal meals, I would not adjust the dose. Yesterday I was hungry and feeling weak, and a little headache-y, and ate a double portion of lunch and was still hungry. Then I ate a-bunch-of-food-I'm-not-going-into-detail-about, and was still hungry. This morning I feel fine, probably because there is less hcg in my system. I'm skipping my dose today, and will probably feel better this afternoon, thanI did yesterday afternoon. If so, that means my dose was too high, so tomorrow I'll come down to 140 or so.

    good morning!

msaundrea, I hope you have a better time at it today. Sending you hugs!

    hey, lynne and kansas!

    welcome, flhcgskinny!

    Howdy, everyone else!

I'm flying out the door for a long work day, feeling good because my load weight's gone, and I dropped another 1.8 pounds last night. I'm sure going to miss these first-week losses when they start to slow down. At least they're motivating when it's hard getting used to the restrictive diet again.

    Anyway, have a wonderful day!

I am getting confused which threads I am posting on so I am reposting here because I think I was on another one. Must keep track!

So today is the first day of 500 calls but I am feeling very optimistic. I need to stay on track because i only have a very limited supply of hcg (it is really awfully hard to get in Canada) plus this seems to be the only plan that works for me as well. Why would I consider wasting this opportunity by cheating!?!?! SNAP OUT OF IT GIRL! OK...here we go!
    Starting weight 196

    Goal weight 135
