    Welcome to March, Lovelies!

TESS went crazy this a.m and I will be changing her batteries! I stepped on and she showed me a number I could not wrap my head around, that I weighed in high school. What? Then proceeded to tell me I had lost 11.8 pounds over night. What? So I jumped up and down until I got a C for clear and then ER for error and she told me I was back at my happy number, but I had GAINED 10.4 pounds overnight.

I lost 1.4 so that's the inflammation I have been fighting. So end of the story was good, but that 50+ year old number is going to haunt my dreams!

I gotta run, be good be healthy have fun Every Buddy!

The salt is likely a help, not a hindrance. When eating so much less carbs than your usual diet, the body excretes more sodium and potassium and your electrolytes can get low. Symptoms include dizziness, fuzzy thinking, headaches and constipation. Unless you have been tested by your doctor and have been shown to have sodium-sensitive high blood pressure, you should not need to avoid sodium.

I am here! Doing a short round; loaded 2/28-29. I am not sure when I'll stop though. I either make it a shorter than 23-day round (21 incl. no hcg days) or I do an interruption for the weekend and add a week. I may do that. It seems better than too short a round?

Maintained well but knowing I was going to do a short round made me less cautious the closer the date LOL Still, at the top of my window so very pleased.

    Good to see you, Rose!!

Hope everyone is well. I wish I could come here every day and keep up with you all!

the broth really helps hunger but it is very high in sodium. i definitely retain fluids every time i drink broth. going to try sodium free beef broth and just add a little salt myself. the extra fluid eventually comes off but it can get to my head when it happens

That's a good idea, Rose. Everyone is different: I have more problems with fluid retention from eating carbs, than from salty broth.

I really would like to do a round but not until I'm allowed to walk again

rose I wonder if it would help you to use potassium chloride in your broth instead of salt? Extra potassium is helpful in P2, and it does have a salty flavor, although it can be a bit metallic tasting. But everyone perceives tastes differently, so it might be worth a try. NuSalt is all potassium chloride, and LiteSalt is about half potassium chlorid and half regular salt.

thx Leez. i’ve tried it but can’t deal with the taste. i did use the “salty” broth again today but just to add some flavor to my water fried onions and poached tilapia

I drink bone broth too Rose. I love it and it sure helped with the diet. Mine has 230mg sodium and 10 mg potassium, but when I buy DKA Bone broth, it only has 105mg.

We got quite a bit of snow again, so had to finally shovel all of it today. Yesterday and day before I just cleared a path, but it kept coming down.

Glad to see you again mrsstrong, and good luck on this round.

Sorry to hear about Tess, PearlyMae. Congrats on you loss though. It's still good news.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Happy to hear from you, Mrs. Strong. Rose, you will work this out, you always do! you are a rockstar.

I haven’t changed my batteries yet, but I did step one: opened it up to see what size batteries it need. that makes step two easier! Not sure I trust it yet, as I am down another 1.4, according to TESS. That gives me a little wiggle room to try some carbs here and there. That would be nice.

My laptop died and it’s what I used to post. I work in my office so tapping on my laptop in the kitchen is for fun. I ordered a new battery and was very proud of myself that I replaced the old one with it. It lit right up, and then a message appeared saying this is not an authorized battery. It was a message that would not go away. I took it back out and sent it back to Amazon. Now I need to figure out how to get an authorized one. Love that little laptop. I tried using it without the battery and it worked for a day or two, but then it stopped. So I am dictating on my phone. Look out.

I have been really tired this weekend. The last two weeks have been nonstop and I am an old lady. But I did my billing last night, and that should perk me up when that arrives!

    Onward, everybody!

    Hi All

PearlyMae, hoping you get the right battery for your laptop. And hoping Tess is correct, sometimes taking batteries in and out make them work for a bit longer, until you get new ones.

I had payday on Friday, and it was nice to see. I went to do my taxes today, but haven't received everything yet. I love we do things electronically but some still don't get things sent in right away. I did my daughter's and her husbands, and thankfully all is good for them. We all pay more into Income taxes monthly, so we shouldn't have to owe the government anything.

I am sure you will cheer up when your money arrives.

Hoping everyone else had a good weekend, and I hope you get some rest Pearly.

I am starting a nightshift tonight, for the next 5 days. Have been trying to sleep all evening but no such luck. So at least taking my bone broth etc with me. I have ate well today. Finally had time to do some prep again earlier today. A bit more shoveling and mostly taking it easy all day. Let you know tomorrow how it went.
