PearlyMae, get a no-batteries scale. I have a balance beam scale I bought on EBay, used from a doctor's office.

Hello all, catching up on a stunning day in Ohio.

Since here in February I have finally started the higher hrt patch and within about three to four days felt relief.
I also started a round a week ago, so here I am feeling good and hopeful.
As in past I'm a bit of a rogue person when it comes to hcg. Working with my body needs and willing to stretch it out if needed.

Off to read updates and feed the pups.

    As pearly says..... Onward.

    Hello All, I'm back!

What was to be a 10-day stall, changed, I decided that I'm doing so well, I only stopped the drops for 3 days and right back to P2. So, 25 days, 2 load days / 21 days on VLCD / 2 days no drops on VLCD. Lost a total of 17#. Ate clean my one day off the VLCD and gained .8 but did add too many new items! That was what made me decide, I'm doing great and only have 6# to go so why drag it out!

    Questions:
Do you have certain foods that you see better losses with? I know everyone is different. I do GREAT with ground beef, however, we do grow our own and have it locally butchered. I also do okay with chicken, however with Shrimp sometimes I do not see as good of a loss. Also, strawberries, it seems any days I eat strawberries I see a .2 loss and I eat about 5-7 medium strawberries. I also do great with spinach. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I eat a lot of cukes and celery as well and no issues with those.

Thanks in advance for any of your wisdom!

    Happy Losing!

I hope you make your goal Rose, but if not any loss is great news for sure

I went back to January's thread because I could not remember exactly when I finished P3 and I have been posting what month of P4 I am in, and could not believe I am in month 3. But Yep! I hit the end of P3 on January 2nd!

Amazing. Yes I will get a new scale but nobody has paid me yet for anything since the middle of January so I am watching pennies right now. And if I get a new scale, what if I am UP ... 50 pounds... or something? LOL. The midnight scary thoughts of a dieter.

I really wanted a baked sweet potato last night but didn't get away from my desk until after 10. I billed 11.4 hours yesterday. I hope this catches up all the little Couldya's they have been sending me. Couldya take a quick look at this... Couldya edit this little article ( 8 pages long not counting graphs and sent on Saturday needed on Sunday) Couldya change everything on this graphic invite, it looks too in your face. Don't use bold fonts.

    O M G

Any way, I keep counting my money in my head.

I am not hungry this morning but I need to eat. My usual semi-poached egg (I start by frying it and add water and cover when it starts to set up)on a slice of cheese (keeps the egg from leaking onto the plate where you can never get it back without toast!) sausage patty, avocado slices and tomato .... just are not calling me. I had berries and plain yogurt with almond slices yesterday but the weather (and my house) are still too cold to enojy that. It is a summer breakfast. Ok, guess I will make an almond flour muffin and put cinnamon and sweetener on it and call it toast.

    Borrrr-inng. Sorry.

I'm still a bit tired today.

    Onward!

I don't eat poached eggs, but my husband does, so I bought a fry pan that has the egg holders in with a lid for steam. I found it easier to make them that way. But it sounds good , hope you enjoyed. Hoping you get the rest you need and soon the money comes in for you. I can just imagine all those Couldya do this lol. Hope it pays off for you.

Mermaid, sounds like you had an awesome trip. Happy for you all. And congrats on your loss as well.

SimplySlim. I love celery and use it a lot in P2. And cukes as well. And yes there are certain foods I do better with. Just remember with beef, you can only use it for one meal. Grammy posted years ago about doing beef twice in a day is no good. But I love ground beef in things. This time around I mostly did chicken, but just put all my ingredients together to make it more like a soup. I brown my chicken up in some lemon juice. I find I can eat it more that way.

Everyone else I missed I hope your doing well. Good to hear from you brick.

I have got a cold. I am sure it could be a lot worse though. I don't have a runny nose or anything.

g9zgjg.. I will have to get some K . I had totally forgot about that. Thanks

Slim, my go to that always keeps me losing is tilapia sauted in a pan with avocado cooking oil spray and fresh spinach wilted with that same spray in another skillet. It's very good and always a win. I almost NEVER eat either once I am out of P3! LOL

Jayk, yes, two of the same proteins back to back is a no-no. I do not do that, not even for lunch the next day - I will not eat the same protein as I had for dinner the day before.

PearlyMae, I have tilapia, I'll try that as well. I have a horrible allergy to citrus and most every recipe calls for lemon juice so I cannot use that. However, last night I did put about a tsp of Skinny Girl Honey Mustard on my chicken and it was sooo good! I had for lunch, a burger with celery, dinner was chicken with spinach and I woke up to a -1#!! I was so happy! For some reason, I think it's the strawberries and off protocol, I eat them all the time! I have avocado cooking spray, however, did not know I could use that in P2. I usually cook in Zoup broths, they are so good and zero anything on the nutrition label.

I also see a lot of people using bone broth, however, I make my own bone broth and thought that would contain too much fat, (I use the marrow and all), so I will avoid that until P3.

You all are great and I appreciate the support and knowledge you share!

5# to go, then P3 to P4 for life!! I love this diet, I'm not even hungry and I have lost so many inches my pants are hanging on me!!

I'm here and tired. Day 10. Not hungry but tired. Very achy, no doubt the warm days with allergies flying in has set my body with inflammation and joint pain. Today tho rainy and cooler and I just wanna sleep.
Like I said, I'm not hungry, I intermediate fasted for years. And doing OK on cravings. I don't weigh myself, just do measurements. No changes in the tape measure places but do see changes in the usual first places. But honestly one week in one should not anticipate excitement.
Only big news is daughter is traveling to Nottingham England this weekend for 7 weeks. She is staying with her boyfriend and they are attending a wedding, then just enjoying each other's company. They take turns traveling to see each other.

    Well, dinner fixing time... So...

    Onward as pearly says.

I love hearing about everyone's HCG adventures, as well as the IRL ones, too. I agree with the others about tilapia. I use a rub (carefully selected) and bake or air fry. 350dF for about 8 minutes and flip half way, adding more rub. Costco has freezer bags with individually sealed loins. They're not 3.5oz, but I don't worry about it because I haven't been getting up to 500 calories if I have that for dinner and shrimp for lunch. Have been grabbing grocery store cooked shrimp (~7 large) on the go. Not especially tasty, but also grab some sliced cucs or celery or whatever and it does the job.

SimplyThin23 - congrats on finishing the cycles and getting on with P3/4 for Life! I'm envious, have one more cycle to spin up at the end of this month.
Brick - sorry to hear about the fatigue. I had it, too, off and on with the last cycle. Your daughter's trip sounds great. Isn't it wonderful that people can travel pretty well again?!
Rose - I'm the same way with later brekkie and lunch. Just don't have the appetite in the morning; hubby has had to find his own way in the mornings, lonely guy <3
Others whom I've missed, hope all is progressing forward!

I've moved now into P4 for three weeks and am quite nervous about eating. I lost another 1.4 lbs so am down a little more than I should be. I know it's the Zepbound affecting my hunger and my nervousness with eating 'wrong'. I've managed to eat mostly cleanly, and actually prefer it nowadays. Hubby, too. Gotta get back into more robust meal planning, which is my achilles. Cooking is the opposite of relaxing for me. Been doing some light strength training and lots of walking - time to shift up on those and aerobic exercise, too. Get my metabolism up. I take the dog in next week for a biopsy, then to an oncologist the following week to see if it's at all treatable. If not, it'll be the tragic repeat of her puppy for about 3 months or so before we have to say good-bye. It's hurting so much I just reject thinking about it. If any of you have seen news from Hawaii, my brother was attacked by a tiger shark while surfing, but had the reflex to lift his leg before it bit, so it got his board instead. Shook the board so hard that Matt fell onto the shark, then maneuvered to kick it hard and get away. Been strange how hard it hit me that I almost lost him. Then, yesterday my mom had a mini stroke or something. She's better now, but I worry. May go visit while my sister is away later this month. So much going on that keeps things difficult, but I'm glad I can once again enjoy dinner with friends and we'll be getting some sunshine and warm weather end of week. Gotta take what good I can!!

Best to all in the coming days - ever forward!

    P4 Month 3

Slim I should have mentioned I do P2 as P2.0 which allows a tiny bit of oil so the spray is less than poured oil. If you have a decent non-stick pan-- I paid a lot for one of those advertised on TV to be non-stick, scratch proof, but EVERYTHING sticks to it and it scratched the first time I used it--anyway, you probably do not need anything to cook it. Thaw it first and then toss it in, turn it once, on your way. It takes very little time.

Zooo---you have a lot going on! YOu are brave to carry on with diet in the midst of all the worry. That is the challenge isn't it?

Brick, sorry you are having aches. I live on ibuprofen, so I getcha. As we age..(My LEAST favorite phrase) we learn to use tools like heating pads Biofreeze (not together)and NAPS to keep us going when our bodies just want to lie back and pulse.

Rose, you know you are the little engine that could! You will get there. Or from another story, Slow and Steady is the pace, Slow and Steady wins the race....

AFM I have NO IDEA what I weigh. I weighed on my sister's scale which is a dr.'s scale with weights, and with all my clothes on including shoes, at 5 pm I weighed 128. Came home and weighed on my scale and it was 124.6. So there is that 3.4 pounds I 'lost' overnight. I am up today to "122" so I add 3.4? So back to 125.5? I did not really believe I had suddenly and inexplicably hit 120, but I LIKED IT and am disappointed even though it was too good to be true. It would have been so nice.

I let myself have a baked sweet potato two nights ago, no gain yesterday, nothing out of the ordinary yesterday and up 1.8 today? WAAAAAAAH. This is too crazy. I need a new scale, but I can't buy anything right now until I get paid. I'm trying not to run up a credit card, or transfer from my Don't Touch This savings. Besides, a new scale is just going to say I am up 50 pounds overnight, so not looking forward to that....

    Onward. Sigh. Yes. Onward.
