I'm trying no fruit or breadstick & a little more protein and fat today to see if it helps with hunger. Also lowered my dose to 3 pellets. So far so good, added 1/2 scoop of protein powder to my coffee (morning and early afternoon - 50 cal each), also had two whole eggs and two whites and fried them in about 2tsp coconut oil. I still have about 160 cal. left for dinner so I think I'm doing ok.

Only down 1 lb in the last 3 days, but I attribute that to an emergency fruit & nut bar I had when I was feeling shaky while driving & that was the only thing I had (now have some Jolly Ranchers in my purse just in case). Hopefully tomorrow's weight will be better!

    Good Morning everyone!

Yesterday was a pretty good day. Was hungry early, so ate lunch a little earlier than usual. Was fine the rest of they day. Lost two more pounds yesterday, for a total of 7.5 in the first three days. This is really tough, but the results make it worth it.

I admire all of you that are doing the 500 calorie diet. I don't think I could do it. The extra protein I am having is the only thing keeping me satisfied.

If you are going to cheat, I think it would be much better if you ate only the approved items. If you are feeling hungry, eat a little extra proteins or vegetables. I think it will be much easier to get back on track than just eating anything. I don't think I can go through the first three days again. They were brutal. I'm afraid its all or nothing for me. If I cheat, I am done.

Great job, Bret! I think what is helping me is that I took loading seriously and also that I'm drinking LOTS of tea and water. LOTS.

The chicken and celery soup was super-yummy and I am stuffed after eating it.

I'm trying to remain 100% on protocol as long as I can. I want to see what works before I start messin' with it. I will say, I've been very fortunate that I have not had the issues some of you have had. I'm so sorry you are having to go through it! I had already done a detox and was not a big sweet or carb eater (drinker, not eater...lol) so I'm not going through that, too. I also did a candida cleanse. Maybe that helped.

Kudos to all of you for making it this far and let's keep our eyes on the prize!

I am doing much better now. I noticed it is time for my fruit and yet I'm not hungry. I haven't done even a tiny percentage of the work I need to do today. It is going to be a long night.
I gained a bunch of weight following several bouts with depression. I am working on getting myself back.

Mrsmicrobrew - I am really sticking to what my Dr. has recommended, too. So far, so good with the results. I can't wait for this first month to end and see what kind of results I end up with. I am taking advantage of everything I can on this diet, though. I have been drinking one soda a day (can have 2). I am also drinking one large iced black coffee (with one sweet n low) per day. I would like to give these up, but right now they are really helping me get through the day. I tell my brain that these are meals, and trick it!

Anyone have an opinion on how much I can expect to lose this first month based on my first three days results?

I had a cinnamon/Stevia apple this morning. I pretended the water was butter lol. Lunch was my first 1 egg with 3 egg whites plus cucumbers For dinner I had lean steak and spinach with Walden Farms Ranch. Snack was melba and a orange. I'm trying to rotate everything so I don't get bored! Will pick up some fish tomorrow.

Just checking in. I had an orange, lean burger and lettuce, chicken with my faux chicken/celery soup. I wil have an apple in a bit. I have to work late tonight. I need to have something to eat in an hour or two when the growls start! Tomorrow will be the one week measuring for me! Can you imagine being able to get excited about your measurements? LOL

Feeling better today. Wiped out and tired but not insanely hungry. I made some chili today.

    diane0120

Posted a recipe and I adapted from that.

500 grams ground beef. I looked at the super lean ground beef and, of course, it cost more than regular and it still looked suspiciously "white" to me.
I bought a small eye of the round roast with no visible fat. It cost a little more per pound but not that much.
I weighed out 500 grams and ran it through the meat grinder attachment on my big Kitchenaid mixer. I think that is the first time I have used it. I'm surprised I could find all the parts. Anyway ... It grinds meat like a champ! I had a nice bowl of pure red ground beef in a flash. I don't think I will ever buy ground beef again.

Big non-stick skillet, soften a small onion, coarsely chopped, and some fresh garlic. I used a little Pam. Add in the beef and brown that. Halfway through the browning I added two teaspoons of powdered chili seasoning and some salt and freshly ground black pepper. diane0120 used Texas Pete's sauce in her recipe. Now ... it is technically against the law to use hot sauce manufactured outside of Texas but ... I read the story about Texas Pete's sauce and I just had to try it. I added about two teaspoons but that's a lot.

I then added one 20 ounce can of Muir Glenn diced tomatoes with all the liquid. Simmer.

    Truly superb.

By the way ... that makes five servings - 500 grams of beef. I ate one and froze four in Zip Locks.

I think I need to get some of those little plastic tubs.

    Got to go.

    Merengue lessons.

    More later.

Hal that chili sounds awesome! I noticed that about the lean ground beef as well and will be grinding my own hamburger too!

So tonight instead of hamburger I had chicken with garlic and herb seasoning and spinach with some lemon juice. Not the most fantastic dinner but it will do. Also had my piece of melba toast. I don't know if I should have my fruit tonight, I ate A LOT of strawberries this morning so I may skip it.

Anyone else having a hard time sleeping?
Any other regular drinkers here? U finding it easy to abstain?

BayouCity- I totally feel you there. I have been having the most stressful week and normally, on any other diet, I would have caved in and drank myself to oblivion however I havent even wanted a drink. Not a drop and I was a very regular drinker- every day. I would normally get a hankering for a drink every day around 5PM. Now nothing. I firmly believe this is due to the hCG. Not only am I losing weight but its helped me kick the sauce!

And yes- I am having a hard time sleeping. I feel tired and worn out but cannot sleep easily. I think its part not drinking (a few drinks would always put me to bed) and part hCG- maybe more energy? Someone said to try melatonin. I meant to get some today but its only VCLD3 for me so Im going to wait it out and see if adjust.

Good job on the 7.5lb loss!
