Okay ladies, I'm back. This thread was always so helpful to me in my first two rounds. I'm hoping we can get the band back together for a reunion concert. lol Seriously though, I hope you all are doing well and I'd welcome any new folks who are needing a little encouragement, as well. :-)

Hey Girl!!!! So good to hear from you!!! I hope your round goes great! Are you still tending bar (right, that's what you were going to do?) and have you been seeing anyone since the divorce. ;-)

My life has pretty much fallen apart....I got seriously ill about 7 weeks ago. They have ruled out some very scary things including a brain tumor and Addison's Disease (adrenal gland failure) but we aren't sure WHAT is wrong with me. I haven't been able to work, and having so much blood drawn that it doesn't even bother me anymore, and can only walk for about 5 minutes and then have to sit down from extreme muscle weakness. My seizures have been poorly controlled, but the epileptologist did say he doesn't suspect MS, so that is good. Lyme disease and mercury poisoning is the current theory, so I'm just making it day by day and trying not to freak out.

Anyway, I tried another round Jan 1 and it was a failure because it triggered my seizures again, but that problem went away the minute I quit HCG. So I'll never do it again, but I still believe it changed my life in such a wonderful way that first round and I am still a huge believer in it. I only put back on 15 pounds from having to take prednisone last spring for asthma, and I can't get them off. I lose 7 of them, then 5 come back. I lose 6 and then 8 come back. So, I'm just accepting what my body is wanting to do for now, and since I'm so sick, trying to lose weight is out of the question. I still fit in most of the skinniest clothes I had bought, although there are a few outfits that I don't think look that great, so they are hanging in the closet beckoning me. lol

My husband recently lost some weight with The Plan, which is a method to test your food sensitivities and I think it complements HCG Phase 3 really well, so you might want to take a look at it when you get to that phase.

So I hope you do GREAT on this round, and I'm so glad to hear from you!!!

Hey Liffa!!! So great to hear from you!! I'm sad to hear that you're having health challenges. My ex-husband, after many years of not knowing what was wrong with him, received a Lyme Disease diagnosis. He goes to a great doctor here in the Phoenix area (Dr. Korn) who specializes in treating it, as he himself had it.

I am not bartending. In fact, I did meet a new man and we've been together about 18 months and he persuaded me to go a different direction. So, I got my insurance adjuster's license and I'm doing what's called public adjusting. I represent policyholders in disputes with their insurance companies for property losses. I really love it. My new man is incredible and makes me smile every day. We enjoy cooking together, so that accounts for my weight gain. I can't believe I put so much back on. But, love will do that to you. But, at least my body seems to be responding well to the protocol. I'm losing faster now than last time - probably because I'm a bit more active.

I do hope that they figure out what's going on and can get you back to feeling good. Feeling bad sucks. I will check out The Plan when I get to P3 (which will be the 25th of May). I'm doing a 40 day round this time and I'm only on Day 5 - so, have a ways to go.

Please stay in touch. I saw that Gemgirl was around here these days, too. I hope she finds here way back here too. :-)

I hope you are doing well!!! It's great to reconnect with you two gals!

I didn't mean to confuse, Liffa. Gemgirl has been around the forums, but it's been a little over a year since her last post here. I hope she pops back in because I saw she was in the forums just a few days ago. Hopefully, she's subscribed to the thread and will see it pop up in her notifications.

Yes, I'm still subscribing to the the original thread and I got your posts- and Liffas! what about that?? I've been on a retreat this weekend and I just got back today. I pop in and out here and there but I didn't join any threads this time just got on to get inspired by reading other's posts. This seems to be my weight loss "go to" and I'm ok with that as it works for me! I took a planned interruption for the retreat and plan on getting back into the swing of things tomorrow.

I have about 15 lbs I want to knock off before my daughter gets married in July- yippee!!

Other than that, I am doing ok. In the past year, I have a new job as my old one was eliminated and this past Feb. I had surgery d/t Uterine CA. That was a scarey diagnosis, but they feel confident they got it all and I am not doing any f/u with radiation or chemo at this time. They are going to closely watch me. I even questioned them about the HHCG as their were rumors going around about that at one time and they didn't feel it was a cause- besides, I use the drops and it is not as potent as the injections.

Are you going to stay in this thread or are you going to move on to another one? A while back- say Sept./Oct. Dani was in a thread with me and she had changed her name. It was funny how we connected again. Then I kinda dropped out as we had 2 significant deaths in our family weeks apart. It was good to see here again. That has been the only person I have seen besides you in ages.

Well, I gotta go. Good luck to you and I will be doing P2 for a bit longer. I was in D29 (something like that) when I decided to do the interruption.

Gemgirl, sorry to hear of your health issues. I have several friends who've been through that and all of them (knock on wood) have been C-free ever since their surgery. I think I'm going to keep this thread revived as I miss all you ladies. I'm also active on the Lovely Losers group thread in the HHCG forum. Those ladies are very fun, too.

AFM, I'm on VLCD10 and it's going better than either of my previous rounds. I feel great and the weight is coming off. I'm so glad. I can't believe I had let my weight spiral out of control so badly. I had been maintaining within a few pounds ever since the end of R2 (which was in early summer of 2011). But, there's no excuse I can say. I just let things go and lost discipline. It's as simple as that. If I stay disciplined with what I eat, I can eat whatever I want (in small portions) and not gain. It got to the point where I could finish an entire restaurant meal and dessert. That's TOO much food. Plus, I started having IBS issues - which I'm sure is wheat-related. Now that I've cut out the wheat in P2, guess what? No IBS at all. I know what to do. I just need to keep doing it. It's really simple, isn't it?

Life is good. As I said, I started a new business and I love it. I'm still learning. My bf and I traveled a LOT last year - which probably also resulted in weight gain. We spent a month in China and Hong Kong. I learned that I love dim sum very much. lol We went on a cruise to Bermuda last fall as friends of ours were getting married and we did a group honeymoon cruise with them. There were 8 couples and we had a blast. Then, we did a bunch of smaller trips Stateside. I love to travel, but I'm happy to be home for a while and settled in.

Well, keep in touch, ladies. I always enjoy hearing from you. :-)

Man, you have been busy! What an exciting year you had with all your worldly travels! I would love to have done that. I haven't been on a real vacation in a couple of years due to my job loss and then my surgery. I am so use to getting away somewhere at least once a year. Seems like I should have taken a week or two in there somewhere, but I didn't.

I hope to be starting P3 in the next week or two. I'm not sure yet. I had a 4 day interruption last week and I seem to have caught up with losing. I've lost over 6lbs since I started back after that and I think that is pretty good.

    Well, gotta git....

Take care and I did sign up for that other forum you are on but don't know if I'll post anything or not.

Ladies! I'm back, for real this time.

Had a couple of false starts after that successful first round and then gained it all back because life was a rollercoaster and I wasn't ready to make a lifestyle change. This time I'm cycling until I hit my goal of 100 pounds lost and am ready for the lifestyle change to keep the weight off once I get there. I hope you're all doing well! <3

Hey Girlie....Good to see you again- well, if your on this forum- it's "time to lose again time!" ha! I slink back in here now and again. I was chatting a few times w/AZ but went off the beaten path. Believe it or not, I'm doing a round right now. Probably about my 10th- give or take... I just LOVE to eat, what can I say. My daughter is also getting married in a couple of weeks so that has played a big part in this as well.

I'd love to lose about 10 more b4 then, but I'm almost done with the big lose week so I doubt that will happen. Will be happy with 5. I went to NJ/NY a week ago and took a planned interruption so I spent all of this week losing what I gained there. It comes on fast if you don't watch it!

Just stick with it gal- you can do it! Are you in any other forums? You should be. Great support. I haven't seen AZ around in awhile, but I haven't been real faithful to post.

Take care and I have still subscribed to this forum so it comes up in my e-mail. Can you believe this was started in Jan -'11??? Amazing- but the stuff works!

    C Ya!

    Hi Ladies,

Well, I'm back and going to try the rx hCG this next round. I had been maintaining pretty well since we last were hanging out. But, my weight has soared over the past few months. My business has really taken off - which is great. However, it has caused a lot of added stress in my life. I've been reading that stress will cause you to gain in the mid-section - which is where I have gained most of it. So, it's back on track for me. I ordered injectable hCG from EscrowRefills.com. I see quite a few folks from the forums order from them. So, let's hope it gets here soon. I plan to load over Thanksgiving, and then start on Sunday.

It's great to come here and read posts from the old gang. I've joined other threads here, but none that were as meaningful to me as this group.

That is so weird that you would come back to this thread! I was just going to get on it and see about if there was a way to do this vegetarian. I may just try and do it with the fish and chicken and no red meat. Tears me up! When are you starting 12/1? Man, I did that once in Dec. like to have killed me! So many temptations. I was thinking maybe in the next week or so. Let me know what you think. I've got a new bottle of drops that I ordered about a month or so ago.
    Take care!
