    Ok. I’m jumping in here just to let you all know at 80 I am still alive. My 96 yo MIL also still well.
    However not going to list all the reasons I’m here but to say I’m back to square one. Meaning back to 153 where I was last March. Not really ready to start round with holidays coming up but maybe could do a short round before Christmas. Very very hectic. Not sure my mind is in the game but hopping on scale and on the forum means I’m getting closer to a round. I have some homeopathic nasal spray so might start with that after Thanksgiving. Btw scale up as my diet high in carbs plus fats. Bread and butter. I know the cause. Stress created by many things. Will be preparing for 6 Florida shows starting 2024 but believe that will be last year for FL. Even though sales are good the expenses and physicality of the show is a bit much. Age is factoring In.

    Hey all!

    Hey Rose! Boy do I get what you mean! We both did wonderful, successful rounds this summer and

    GONE.
    Many stresses, many reasons but boy howdy, how many times do I have to do this before it sticks! LOL.

    I am about as close to halfway as I can get,down aother .8 today. Love me those .8's! Any little added Down from today or tomorrow would be welcome, cuz any leeway I can have for 3 days of P3 before going back would help.

    Rose, it is not easy doing a round this time of year, but as I said in the intro, if not NOW, when? I am doing it with PI's in order to enjoy the holiday but be happy on January 1st instead of dreading it. Not to say you have to do the same, just encouragment if you feel like trying.

    Hey Rose, I actually find doing a round during the holidays helps me keep from snacking on all the goodies I'm cooking / baking. Then I like a PI for the actual celebration, and to resume P2 afterward. I like the break, and I often need to get back to it. A few times, I have planned rounds to end 3 - 4 weeks ahead of a family do, and I don't stabilize as well as when I do a PI.

    Happy Saturday, every buddy!

    We still have lovely weather, but it won't last! Of course, we will need the moisture from snow so we won't have fires next summer (in the Midwest we would say the rain is good for the corn!) Same idea. But I willl take every sunny 65 degree day Colorado wants to hand out right now.

    No loss today. Boo. No gain! yay? Hmmmm. I had a so perfect day yesterday and all indicators of a loss (TMI p'd my brains out all day and all night!) I was sure I was going to be down, but NOPE. However, looking at my body I KNOW something is going on. I can wear my (most forgiving) jeans today and actually bend over without turning blue. I took the lower dose of Thyroid meds yesterday (I am trying 2 days on my regular dose, then on day reduced for a few times, and then will try every other day for a bit to see if I can get to the goal the Dr wants without crashing!) Have to wonder if that makes my body shout NO FAIR!

    Today is my last injection, Transition starts tomorrow. I want to be in P3 on Wednesday so I don't completly shock my body on Thursday. LOL. Not sure a 4 day PI is worth all this trouble, but I have a plan and I am working it!

    I was SOOO cold yesterday. I'm thinking messing with thyroid meds and hcg at the same time really brings on the chill.I have always been cold on hcg somewhere in the round, but yesterday, I was wearing two pairs of socks, thick slipper,winter leggings, a camisole, a long sleeved t-shirt with a sweatshirt over it, and still had to wear a hoodie around the house. With gloves. And I was still cold! It took turning on the fireplace, a thick blanket and a warm dog to get comfortable!

    Hey, one good thing about November: Yard work is OVER for the season. Until it snows and then shoveling begins.

    And enjoy your warm weather. In northern Utah, we have had warm temperatures too but I think that's done until spring.

    Transititon to PI Day 1

    Good Morning all!

    First day of transition and NO LOSS from yesterday's Perfectly On Protocol (Plan?) day. That's three days at the same weight. Ok, lost .8 to get to the first day so Maaaaybe that doesn't count <pout>. Still, two days the same does not make Pearlie Happy!

    Traditionally, I do not lose during Transition. I know, many do. I cannot count on it. I also have to increase Protein as I will get HOLY MOLY STARVED by about 4 pm today and still have 2 more days to go. Maybe this time wil be different, but that is how it usually goes.

    I am looking forward to Thursday. Keep checking in, you P3ers and P4ers, and share how your holiday week goes. NO Judgement, lol, if you eat pie!

    PI Transition Day 2

    Thank you, my faithful friends, gig and Lou! for sticking in here and reading my roller coaster report! Up Down UP Down wheeeeeee!

    I said yesterday I never lose in Transition but I was wrong. I don't think I have ever done more than bounce up and down .2 or .4 during but today, down 1.4. Whew.

    It was a struggle so I am glad I was rewarded! LOL. At about the time I usually get ravenous, 4 pm, went with family to see the Marvels. Cute movie, but somehow not quite Avenger quality. Hmmm. Anyway, it was a place we had not gone before, a Roadhouse theater where they serve food and even wine and beer during the movie. I'd left myself some calories, but nothing on the menu I could 'legally' have but I convinced myself that mozzarella sticks would be sort of protein. By the time I was done wrestling with what to order, the movie was half over. And they were OUT of mozzaralla sticks. So I had iced tea! Ha!

    When I got home, it wasn't even 6 pm, so I got out a TV dinner I have been saving. I've had the Healthy Choice Steamers before, and I only like the chicken and broccoli one, which is 190 calories, even with parm sauce, which I only use a tablespoon of. 4 carbs and 5 fat. But I either ordered the wrong one or the grocery store goofed as I had the beef and broccoli one, and it was 270 calories and 39 g of carbs! (according to the box, my tracking log was slightly different) Whot? It had brown rice plus a soy sauce gravy. I carefully picked out the beef and I logged it as 3 ounces but probably more like 2, since there were 8 pieces 1 inch by 1/2 inch by 1/8 inch, and the broccoli, again 8 bitesized pieces and some green crumbs. I did use 1 T of the sauce. I am giving this detail to say WATCH OUT for stuff labeled HEALTHY!

    Sheesh. I would have thought if one is low fat and low carb that another one in the same series would at least try! I know, 270 calories would be considered very diet-y for most diets, but with a day's worth of carbs? Yikes.

    So, it felt like I was wrestling with the Devil all day! And I made it through.

    Now, I will try to go slightly over on my protein today, and up it a bit tomorrow. I don't want to give in to anything because I am overly hungry and out of my head!

    PI Transition Day 3- Last one!

    Well, I gave in to something because I was overly hungry and out of my head! Dang.

    From about 9 pm on, all I could thing of was What Can I Eat? I shoulda gone to bed at 8:30. #1 and #3 that I devoured were ok, and just put me a little over on my protein calories and 1 too many carb grams. #2 was not even close to protocol and NOT worth it, as I was still HUNGRY and had to have #3. Sigh.

    I'm only up .2 today, so I escaped but I need to eat MORE PROTEIN all day in order to keep that from happening again. I HATE that Hunting for Something feeling.

    Tomorrow, P3. Cooking day for Thursday, too. I'm making four things to take to my sister's place. Two of them are mostly for me, LOL.

    What's cooking with every buddy else?

    PearlyMae, we have all done it! Next time, think about having a cup of hot bouillon or bone broth. I find it satisfies my hunger cravings and doesn't have much calories / fat. And don't wait an hour! Have it when you get the cravings -

    Pi d1

    Gig! That's a great idea! And exactly what I did for #1. It was very satisfying and made me happy for about 30 minutes before the What ELSE Can I Eat growlies hit! LOL.

    But yesterday, I was not hungry AT ALL. ALL DAY. Even in the late evening, which is always my trouble time.

    I think I have been messing up for the last several rounds -- possibly years!-- and only doing 2 Transition days. I use injections and I forgot that 2 days is for drops. Inj need 3! So I've had the STARVING day on day 2, but not the I'm Fine! day on Day 3 for ages. Whew. I didn't even get all my food in that I had on my list to keep me going.

    And here is a MIRACLE: I'm DOWN POINT 8! I swear, that never happens for me. (Possibly because I have been doing it wrong.) But in 10 years of rounds, I've never lost 2.2 pounds over Transition days. Then again, it is usually after 21 days of P2, and that last week I rarely lose more than that anyway. I'm taking my PI a little earlier than I should, but it will also be pretty darned short, so hope it doesn't mess me up too much.

    I have no bacon for my D1Pi/P3 breakfast, but I put cheese in my little omelet and found a couple of Jimmy Dean sausage links in the back of the freezer. Looks like heaven to me!

    Had Thanksgiving dinner yesterday because of scheduling conflict.

    Today just enjoying leftovers but also made a batch of P3 compliant pumpkin custards. It makes the house smell happy.
