LOL No problem. I knew what you meant. I probably should have included his quote to avoid confusion.

Yeah, I've been told some pretty stupid things in a doctor's office over the years. I'm thankful when medical professionals acknowledge that there is a huge difference in the sexes. Most of the medical studies are done on men, so they tend to assume that what works for men will work for women just as well. Not always. A man can lose weight by skipping a second dinner roll or cutting back one beer. Doesn't work that well for women!
Just read Weight Loss Apocalypse which gave me new resolve.
Currently getting back to the ticker weight.

It was........but not meant to be. There are some key missing pieces to HCG and soon I am going to throw them out here why women and men really do differ. It has to do with bio energenics......of the mitochondria we both have.

It appears that women tend to gain weight with cold baths and in odd places (around the knees, for example). Even if you look at pictures of the Polar Bear Club participants, the women all have that insulating layer of fat all over. Doesn't appear that submerging in cold water is doing anything towards getting/keeping fat off.

What I do know is that HCG works when people stick to the protocol. And it has worked for over 50 years.

Ohthankgod, because there was no way I would do that.

I do know that I am much more likely to gain weight in winter than in summer.

So... Who has been doing this cold protocol, and how has it been working for you?

I did cold showers for a bit....but did not really see any difference.....maybe I was doing it wrong?!......I also did the leptin reset for a bit but just really hated eating that much at breakfast. I have heard people rave about it but I just didn't get into it. Right around the same time I started reading about BP coffee and liked the idea of that better cuz I really am not a very early in the morning breakfast person. Anyway, I am not close minded to much of anything but I just try stuff out for myself and make a determination of whether it fits for me. Different strokes for different folks......

I, too, would be quite curious to hear people's anecdotes about thermogenesis and the leptin reset.

I tried immersing in a cold pool during last winter then tried spot icing and getting in a cold bath at home. I gained fat in my thighs.
My expert Hcg Diet advice is based specifically on the original Simeons Protocol. Grammy's personal protocol:Grammy's Hcg Diet Protocol

    Oh no! Sorry!

I'm thinking about stereotypical pictures of women who live in very cold regions -- Russia, Alaska, Scandinavia, North Pole (hahaha!). They are not thin.

I'm sure there are other factors, as well, too, but still.
