I just ordered the Priaml Fuel vanilla. I start P3-LR in 10 days. I am really worried about the amount of meat I have to eat a day so I am very excited about the protein powder! Surby, did you eat eggs right out of the gate? Not sure what to do with that.

I did start eating eggs the first day w/ no problem. I added some raw cheeses in moderation after a week. Then I added almonds. Last week was week 4 of LR for me & I was on spring break at the beach. My train went wayyyyy off the tracks, and I was SO afraid to get on the scales this morning. I'm SO happy to say that I'm still 1.8 pounds UNDER LIW. I truly feel that HCG & LR are the miracle I've been searching for. I'm going back to strict LR until my next HCG round!

That is so good to hear, Surby. I hope to get there soon too. :-) I am .2 below LDW this morning wahoo!

I hope I can have eggs if I add coconut oil LOL so I found a way that I can get it down: in tea. We shall see. I may get the flavorless one and see if I can use it for eggs. But man, eggs in butter is so good!

    Round 1 ended 3/25 30
    Round 2 ended 6/27 26
    LDW 185.8

8/17 started high fat/adequate protein/low carb diet (nutritional ketosis):
    Starting weight: 185.4

Here are some links to help you get familiar with the protocol

    Leptin Reset - http://jackkruse.com/my-leptin-prescription/

    Frequently Asked Questions: http://jackkruse.com/the-leptin-rx-faqs/

    Optimal Cave: Simple Guidelines: http://optimalhealthcave.forumotion....t-prescription

    Timing --
    1. Eat 50-75 grams of protein for breakfast (also known as the BAB) within 30 minutes of rising.
Note: A very simple example of this breakfast would be a 4 egg omelet with 4 oz of steak, all cooked in Coconut Oil.

    2. Do not eat again for 4-5 hours. So no snacking. You can skip lunch if you wish and are not hungry but it is not required.
Note: If you are not hungry for lunch OR dinner, then your breakfast was likely TOO big.

    3. Do not eat after 7pm. Try to allow 4-5 hours after dinner before bed.

    4. If you incorporate a workout, do it after 5 pm.

    Foods --
You can eat... all meats (lean toward wild and grassfed varieties), Coconut oil, Butter, Heavy Whipping Cream, Non-starchy veggies that are lower in omega 6s.

Keep your carbs approx 50 grams per day if you have less than 30 lbs to lose,
Keep your carbs approx 25 grams per day if you have greater than 30 lbs to lose.

stay away from grains, legumes, and very starchy veggys, high omega 6 veggys, most vegatable oils
    stay away from fruits
    stay away from nuts
stay away from eggs if you have autoimmune issues
stay away from nightshades -- unless you are HDL > 60 and a woman or > 70 if you are man
    stay away from dairy
    [

    Weight Start/End (Loss):..........
    Round 1 - 256.6 /235.4 (21.2 lbs) .......
    Round 2 - 249.6/ 219.6 (30 lbs)
    Round 3 - 221.8/ 211.4 (10.4)
    Round 4 - 216.8/ 205.4 (11.4 lbs ) (cycling . . still in progress)

    Goal Weight - 150 lbs . . then maybe 130

Hope you don't mind me jumping in, but why does it say no dairy and yet cream is allowed?

Pamela, on LR butter, ghee and HWC are exceptions to the dairy rule because they are almost all fat and do not have any significant amount of carbohydrates in them. I think cheese is okay too. I am doing LR and I am eating butter, ghee, HWC, cheese (not cottage cheese though), and sour cream.

kundalini, it looks like you're not sticking strictly to the LR protocol if you're doing steak days? just wondering....

Judge your successes by what you had to give up to get it.

That is true Joan. I stopped doing LR. I made a note of that in my signature on 4/9, just before I discovered I needed to do a steak day the next day. Although I thought I liked it at first, I and two others who I know from another thread were all starting to feel really bad on it (all at the same time in fact) and we decided to stop. I feel much better just eating Primal, per Nora Gedgedaus' book "Primal Body, Primal Mind".
Why does a steak day not fit with LR though? I would have just adapted the timing by having a large steak of at least 50 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up in the morning and then have nothing else all day, or perhaps just coffee & HWC at lunch and dinner (decaf) times. Is there some reason you think that would not have worked?
