May 2022 Loaders - Shrinking Violets

Welcome May loaders, this thread is for you!

I was enjoying my meadow-like backyard full of purple and white violets these last few days, so it is the inspiration for our group name this month. We will be SHRINKING this month as successful rounds are worked through! And you WILL be successful. HCG works when done correctly. We are here to help you do that.

Post your round planning, questions, concerns, give and get support and encouragement, or just post for personal accountability. What every helps you stay focused.

I'll be around to help with questions or concerns and give guidance based on the original protocol. If we are lucky, we'll get some veteran HCG'ers posting here as well and lending their knowlege and experience.

All the best as you work toward your goals in May!

    Hi everybody! Please

Leez I like the title for this group this month! I am transitioning to P3. I am 5 pounds up from my goal but I have too many trips planned for this to make sense. I will probably do another round for the end of summer/beginning of fall if I need to for the five or so pounds. It will be nice and hot then so it’ll be a good time to do it! But first I’m going to see if I can find three weeks without travel!

Where is everybody? Hope everyone is doing wonderfully well.

    RK

hey rk, your plan sounds reasonable. I think doing the HCG diet in warmer weather is easier. But for me the decision is where in the season to do it so I don't miss all the beautiful fresh local produce. Early summer does seem best.

Must feel good to be so close to your goal now. I just love the feeling of lightness I have when I'm in that place.

Loading -- you have a choice

    Welcome, TWise.

    Let the shrinking begin! ^_^

Here's a little refresher on loading choices.

The purpose of the 2 loading days is to get as much fat in your system as possible as the HCG begins to activate. In the protocol, the instructions are given thusly:

One cannot keep a patient comfortably on 500 Calories unless his normal fat reserves are reasonably well stocked. It is for this reason also that every case, even those that are actually gaining must eat to capacity of the most fattening food they can get down until they have had the third injection.
So that is loading option 1: eat as much of the most fattening food you can, and expect a gain, usually 2-5 pounds
Benefits: enjoying a last big splurge of all your favorite sweet and greasy treats: doughnuts, bread & butter, fried chicken, candies, pies, creamy pasta dishes, chips, etc

Option 2: Eat predominantly healthy fats, avoid starches grains and sugars. Examples, avocados, nuts & nut butters, cheese, fatty meats, butter, olive oil, coconut oil candy.
Benefits: No sugar coma, less digestive distress, usually less weight gain (you may even lose) and cuts down on detox miseries.

Either is acceptable. My observation with option 2 is that I don't usually gain on load, and sometimes lose, and feel much better going into P2 without all the junk. I've also observed that the net loss at the end of my week one is about the same for either option. So if option 1 appeals to you more, go for it. Your end results will be the same.

So, how will you all be loading this round? Do you have a plan?

    HI everyone!

Leez, those are some good loading tips. I load with all the foods I crave: chocolate, ice cream etc and find by the end of the first day I don't miss them or want them. It helps me a lot.

Yes it is good to be this weight. Today is my second "transition to P3, so P2 without the hHCG". I just could not get my butt out of bed today. Unusual for me as I am a morning person. I took a potassium pill and feel better already. I have to watch myself in P3, being on the road but it is always a learning process.

Lately I have been steaming (in the microwave) Power Greens. I think steamed makes them easier for my thyroid. I eat them with protein on top, or alone spiced with Indian or Mexican spices, or add it to my Grammy's Smoothie. My skin looks amazing from doing this. Better than it has looked in years. That and the water (lemon in it in the morning like you have recommended) and herbal tea also helps.

How is everyone doing? Hope all is well.

    Fondly,
    RK

    HI Everyone,

How is the losing going? I am in P3 and dealing with a lot of swelling/bloating from being on a plane/ restaurant food. Tight rings and shoes. Today is lots of herb tea and clean eating...

Leez, a quick question for my daughter who is in P2. She says she sometimes feels weepy on the diet. Have you ever heard that? I think she is also a big exerciser so maybe she needs to increase her protein and take a 20 minute nap during the workday? What do you think? Her loses are good. She averages .5 pounds a day. I just never heard of people feeling weepy on the diet!

Hope all the Mom's had a great Mother's Day!
    Thanks,
    RK

Emotional detox is a thing. So yeah, she could be weepy. Advise her to do some liver and lymph support to help her body detox. Milk thistle for liver, red clover for lymph and if she is not walking, at least 20 min of that a day for calve muscles to pump the lymph.

Eating some of all of her protein portion and a fruit after workout may be helpful. If the exercise is something she is used to doing before P2, there should be no need to increase protein. If not, pulling back on intensity would be preferred to increasing protein.

Sorry you are dealing with the swelling. So annoying, I know. Anything you can do to decrease inflammation should help. Turmeric, epsom salt bath, dandelion tea (the roasted version is nice), cilantro, hawthorne (a powerful diuretic but is also a blood thinner, so be aware of that) .
