Your load sounds yummy. I usually allow 1 or 2 old "craving" foods in my load, just because you can, and it doesn't seem to make any difference in the final result, just in how the round starts off. Mine are Hagan Daz coffee icecream and sweet potato fries or chips. This time I made a Keto ricotta cheesecake and munched on that whenever I had room, and did keto mint chocolate chip icecream instead of the Hagen Daz. However, I did finish off a bag of sweet potato chips from the January round that were amazingly not stale. I don't know how they do that......its suspicious. Those chips should have been rancid by now, but they were still awesome. ^_^

It could be that I'm now within 10 pounds of goal. But I have a history of doing well the first week and then the rest coming in dribs and drabs with lots of no loss days the rest of the time. And occasionally I have one long stall during a round. It generally all works out to getting the average half pound a day loss by the time I'm done.

It was so good, but I'm soo full! *Almost* uncomfortably so. I like ice cream (mmmm, butter pecan!), but I lean more toward the savory/salty as opposed to sweet. The thing I miss the most during vlc days is crunchy, salty things like chips (I love sweet potato chips, but regular potato chips will do!). I also miss nuts. Those are probably the two things I ending up truly cheating with if I cheat. Otherwise, I'll just eat extra protein or more veggies. I tend to do better when I hit around 750, rather than 500. I'm also less inclined to cheat that way. I start the day with collagen coffee (which adds 18-20 more grams of protein) and then proceed like normal. That has worked well in the past, though I know it's not OP. Neither is mixing veggies, but I haven't found that to be an issue for me either, and makes for a better salad!

That's crazy that the chips were still good! Of course it also means they didn't have to go to waste! I hate wasting food! I put the rest of my lemon bars in the freezer so I can enjoy them when everything is over! I also have some sweet potato fries in there I'll pull out toward the end of P3!

P2D10 - day 4 of no loss, so Im officially in a stall now.

its unusual for me to have one this early, but at least I'll have it out of the way.

Not too down about it, because I see a major change in my midriff size from the beginning of the week. And that is my most hoped for goal for this round. Get a more normal looking middle!

Going to have to shop for some fresh stuff soon. It keeps the satisfaction factor up.

I've been adding a little extra protein too with bone broth, so not quite as much as the collagen. I find I have to put collagen in tea--- I can taste it in the sacred coffee and that will not do. ^_^

Gametime! P2D1, LIW-- 199.3... only .4 up from yesterday and from the morning I started loading, so I'll take it!

Small rant: I have an innotech scale I bought on amazon that measures all the things. It has an app and works with Apple Health, etc, and for the most part, I like it... EXCEPT for one thing that bugs the crap out of me. It rounds my weight *UP* by .1 when it measures! Drives me nuts! Especially like when I finally crossed back under the 200 threshold to 199.9 and it logged it as 200.0! I'll have my .1, thank you very much!

I'm sorry for another stall day. It's gotta break soon! Is the bone broth a new addition? Does it have a lot of sodium? Maybe you're holding onto extra water? Either way, I hope you can see the scale change soon to match the body changes. Those are the days when I usually pull out the measuring tape, hoping I'll at least see it there. That reminds me... I guess I need to do that today, too. I've been avoiding it bc it's even more depressing than my scale right now!

You're on your way! Congrats at starting below 200...that's a great boost.

I stopped using my digital scale. Like you said, the tenth pounds can drive you crazy....I find it more peaceful for me to use my old spring floor scale. I can tell pounds and half pounds and not much more. That works for me. But having been there, I do definitely understand that the difference mentally between 199.9 and 200 is IMMENSE.

I used bone broth in my previous rounds without any issues, and am using the same brand now. I do use a lot of salt, and not really willing to not, so my body will just have to figure it out.

It possible that I'm creating some inflammation from the stretching workouts I'm doing. A couple of them this week were pretty challenging.

I was afraid after yesterday's load that I would be back over 200 this morning! I'm very happy I wasn't! Now I just have to stick with the rest of it. I've decided I'll wing the time frame, see how I'm feeling at 23 days, and either push it on out to 30-40, or move on to P3, depending on how well my health holds up.

I was thinking that if the bone broth was a new thing, or maybe late in the day, it might make a difference. But with how much we have to keep electrolytes up, I think I'd want to keep it going, too.

I've been wondering about exercise this time. I want to keep walking if I can, and that shouldn't be an issue. But I've also been rebounding at night, which I've already been thinking I need to do it earlier in the day so my body has time to process it and it doesn't hit the scale. I've been wondering about stretching workouts or yoga or tai chi, etc. Even just the little bit of lifting with small dumbbells yesterday left me sore... which it will in the beginning, but I don't want that to impede my weight loss efforts, either.

Why do the first couple of days always seem to come with intense food cravings? I don't even eat that much sugar, but I could eat a whole thing of cinnamon rolls right now! I ate so much food yesterday, and I'm not even hungry! UGH!!! Such a crazy head game to get past!

Cravings are usually a detox symptom first few days of P2. You could be detoxing from other things besides sugar. Later in the round, cravings can be a symptom of need for dose adjustment, but not at the beginning.

You are right about it being a head game. That is pretty much the real battle, since HCG eliminates the actual hunger factor.

If you do start any new kind of exercise in P2, it should not be anything aerobic or strenuous. Walking is perfect, gentle stretching or other non-punishing workouts can be started without causing problems. But you are going to have inflammation responses to weight lifting, as the whole point is to stress and tear down the muscles a little bit so they can re-strengthen. That means inflammation.

Rebounding releases your lymph stores, so yeah, you want to do that earlier in the day to flush whatever was collected during the cleansing work the body does at night. Rebound earlier in the day will also stoke your metabolism more.

I wonder if binders like activated charcoal or bentonite clay would help with the first couple of days of detoxing? I don't want it to bind to my vitamins/minerals, but if I take the charcoal away from supplements, it might mop up some of what else is being released. I think I'm gonna do a footbath first thing in the morning, also. I'd like to see if I can make that happen a couple of times a week. I have the ioncleanse here from where the kids were part of an autism study AMD did several years back, and if I do it before I drink my electrolytes or take any supplements, it should help pull out some of the excess gunk being released.

Keeping my lymphatic fluid/detox pathways open is exactly why I do the rebounding. But also, it's a great workout in a very small amount of time, and it's easy on my joints. I did it around 6:30-7 tonight, but I think I'm gonna try it early in the day and see if I can tell a difference.

Honestly, I don't even know why I'm trying to do extra lifting right now anyway. I've been having to take care of my parents' farm animals every day for the past 4-5 months, and I'm already doing plenty of physical labor between that and getting the garden ready! Picking up 3- 50lb bags of chicken feed today and taking them down to the barn was exercise enough!

Walking does the same thing for the lymph as rebounding....your calf muscle is the biggest lymph pump in the body.

You are right...taking care of the animals is plenty of weight lifting. It is better to wait till after P2 to do a specific weight lifting routine.

As for binders, I don't think that would help as much as keeping your detox pathways open and staying really well hydrated so your lymph can do it's thing. If you have enough water flowing through, they'll get flushed out. Foot baths are good, and soaking in a tub with epsom salts, baking soda and ginger will give you a good sweat to release more. (I find its less messy to blend up fresh ginger and float it in your tub in a nutbag rather than use powdered ginger. But both work.)

Awesome news! And whoosh fairy visited us both--I'm also down 2 pounds.

    whooshfairy.jpg

I knew it had to happen soon, because I could see the shrinkage happening all week. Its just the weird way women's bodies handle fat release, and no doubt hormone related.
