P2D17: down a pound today. 139---finally in sight of goal.

I have about 2 weeks to get there. Should be doable to lose another 4-5 pounds by then.

I spent some time yesterday checking out some of favorite goal clothes, and I don't look quite the way I want in them yet, but getting there. I'm only planning to take one dress with me on the european trip, and I think I figured out which one yesterday.

Pic is not me, of course.....but I plan to look at least this happy in my Mediterranean sea shots. ^_^

P2D8: no change. 195.3. Definitely started my period a week early, which usually brings and extra 3-4 lbs with it. And I had a massage yesterday, so I actually expected to go up. Hopefully tomorrow will be better and the whoosh fairy will visit me.

Yay, Leez! And I really like that dress. I'm also envious of the trip! Where all are you going while you're in Europe?

@rose, I admire your determination not to give up and settle. I'm still kind of that way, but I can see a time coming when I say to myself, you know, I'm *fill in age* old now and I just dont want to do it anymore. It encourages me that you haven't hit that point yet.

@Jenny: You can get the dress on Amazon. Its the Ouges skater dress. I think that color choice and quite a few others is still available. They have a red one too. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KVSJ1QY/

Its an antiquities tour through Spain that starts at the coast. I think it will be a wonderful magical time, and its a family group going, so all the better.

Yes, the period weight gain...so annoying. I think the best thing to do during period gain is stop weighing for a few days to avoid the mental stress. But its always nice to get the whoosh afterwards. It will come.

That sounds amazing! I had hoped to go to Cambridge with school for 5 weeks this summer, but life happens, so NWGA it is! That will be a trip of a lifetime, esp if you are getting to share it with your family!

I was surprised I stayed holding at 195.3. No loss, but no gain, either. I've stalled for a few days, but it'll start dropping again soon, once the water weight clears out. It's way early, though, so I wasn't expecting it. I told my mom yesterday that I wish it would make up its mind and just let me have a period when I'm supposed to, or go away completely and leave me alone! I'd be ok with either of those options! But this all over the place mess is for the birds!

The age thing is real and i admit to being a little loose with my P2. When i even think of just letting it go i’m reminded what i got to in 2011 and how it happened. while some thyroid was an issue i tell people 50-60 lbs occurs over 5 years with creeping gains of 1/4 lb per week. if i accept 15 lbs this year then by end of next year it will get to 25 …. and up. i feel great when im in control and hcg p2 does this. i do think i no longer can or want to do a long round. 23 days is manageable

I play with my P2 now too, rose. I have way less angst about messing up than I used to.

P2D18: no loss today. Scale nudged up a little, but still in the 139 zone.

138 is my longest established setpoint, so I'm hoping I don't get stuck there this coming week.

Now past the halfway point and just chugging along.

I haven't talked about my experiment this round. I'm doing all the successful things from previous rounds, but the thing I'm trying this time is not counting and logging every calorie. I'm still weighing my proteins, but other than that, not keeping any records other than daily weight. As my body has healed, my sensitivities have disappeared (I had a bunch, even some to proteins) I have to say, it kind of feels more normal not to have think about and log every bite that goes in your mouth. And as long as you follow the rules, the calories fall in line.

At this point, the sameness does get weary-ing. I will be glad to come to the end. I'm a little bit disappointed that some of my clothes still don't look right on me yet. That body shape changed I noticed last year is real. But I'm doing stretching and toning now to reverse that, so still hopeful.

SweatPea I'm on day 5 of VLCD. Leez I added another loading day cos was struggling so much, not sure if you're meant to do that but I didn't manage to get much in that day either. I have lost five pounds, so a bit of a slow start for me but I'm definitely not complaining.

Hey y'all. P2D9-- only down .2. 195.1. Sigh. But still down, so I guess I should be happy about that. Not feeling very chatty this weekend. Mother's Day is always difficult, and it's better for me to contain that than to spread it around. Things will be better in a day or two. That's what I'm hanging on to.
