Leez, that's what I'm hoping-- that things will get back on track now that the period is over and I can see some more consistent losses. Realistically, I've only had a week on hcg when I wasn't on my period, so 5lbs for those 7 days is still good. I'm not sure how long I will go. I may just keep going until I run out of drops and then move to P3. We'll see. I probably have enough for 30-40 more days. I had a whoosh down the past two days, but that's only bc I had a whoosh up the two days before that! I don't like those at all!

I know my hormones are wonky, both in general and bc of the addition of HRT. I can also tell that the honeymoon period has worn off with the progesterone, so I may need to up that dose. They won't start me on transdermal estrogen until I've had a mammogram, and I have no idea when/how that will happen since I don't have insurance. I wish things didn't have to be so complicated all the time.

I remember 138. It feels like a lifetime ago... in reality it was only 7-8 years ago. So much has happened since then. I'm not sure if I could go that low again now. My strongest set point has been 155, and then my body refuses to budge! And also, maybe I give in by then bc I get really tired of dieting. If I could finish this round close to 155, I'd be ecstatic. And I think instead of doing another round after that, I'd add in weights and something like pilates/tai chi/stretching to work on strength training and body shaping.

Fingers crossed that you will be able to get past it and those last few pounds will leave. But if they don't, preparing for a smooth stabilization is a good way to look at it. I'd much rather be stable a few pounds over my goal than unstable and put some back on, especially at this age when it's so much harder to keep it off generally.

JennyV, I was post-menopause, 61YO, and 186 lbs when I started hcg. I only lost 15 lbs my first round. I switched to the ketogenic diet after my round and lost weight in p3/p4. Then my 2nd round was a total fail - I think I lost maybe 5 lbs. I suspect I had a touch of immunity, and should have waited longer. I switched to hhcg, and rounds 3 & 4 finally brought me down to 130-ish.

So: even if you don't lose to your goal in this round, you can still succeed. After this round, examine your way of eating, and see if you need to make dietary changes.

@gz9gjg, the funny thing is, I already eat very clean. I lean heavily toward protein, and I am eating based on macros now to maximize nutrition. The month before hhcg when I started tracking, I was aiming for 100g of protein a day. And the weight was slowly coming back off the past month or so. I had gotten as high as 207 in Jan. I got very sick a few years ago and have been unable to fully recover. That's been issue one. I'm still fighting severe anemia and autoimmune stuff, which I'm working on. Plus hormone changes, which I am also working on. I also found when I started tracking macros that I don't eat enough generally to support my metabolism (pre-diet), and I think my body holds onto pounds (or was) bc it thinks it is starving... bc it was! I also was over-exercising, but not getting enough strength training. So that is all changing. I'm hopeful that all of the small changes together will eventually get me back where I want to be.

How long time-wise did it take you to get back to 130ish?

    P2D16: down .5. 194.4. I'll take it.

Its looking that this will turn out to be my lowest loss round. I've always lost at least 14 pounds in a 30 day round, and usually closer to 17. So its a mental battle to keep going at this point.

P2D25: no loss. 138, total loss so far--11pounds

Still a few more days, so anything can happen, of course. But looking less and less likely that I will get to 135 by then. Especially considering that I'm sitting at my setpoint now.

The happy part. All my goal weight clothes fit fairly comfortably now. I can feel the couple extra pounds in the waist tightness of my jeans, but other than that, clothes are all good again. I'm seeing some reshaping at the midsection, but its more shrinkage than reshaping. I will re-evaluate when I come back from my trip this summer. P3 may finish the job. I'm not expecting a gain from the travel time, in fact I generally lose a little on trips. I think because on a trip, you are more engaged in what is happening and there is less likelihood of boredom eating.

@rose: I believe you'll get there again. Especially since you are planning another round this summer.

Leez, fitting into your clothes is still a big win! But I know it's frustrating. When do you leave for Europe? You will probably lose bc of all the walking! Everyone I know who goes over for any length of time says they eat everything they want (including cappuccinos and croissants, etc for breakfast) and end up losing bc they are more active and bc you end up walking the whole time! I imagine the joy of being there will help as well!

The trip is mid June, so only a month away now. Our tour is definitely walking-heavy, so this may work out really well. I plan on eating all the good local stuff but will pass on sugary delights unless there is something that really calls out to me. I'll be completely out of P3 by the time we leave, so free to eat however I wish.

You are right about the influence of the joy factor. It is a real thing I learned about when I was doing the Plan program. Amazing how that works.

JennyV, it took about 8 months. "Eating clean" is different for everyone. I found I had to increase my fats to lose weight. Otherwise, I wanted to snack.

Leez, is this your second round this year? I generally find the first round gets the most losses and I lose less in subsequent rounds. I find I lose a bit more in P3, and certainly see some reshaping then.

Yes, did a round in January which was a 26 day round with a loss of 14 pounds.

The round that gets you to goal can be a little less productive, so I am taking that into account, but on the whole, I've lost comparable (nearly predictable) amounts in all my rounds beyond the first one. 40 day rounds have been 17-20 lost, and shorter rounds generally 14-17. That is why I stopped doing long rounds. Their wasn't much benefit since I was losing about the same for a 30 day round as a 40 day one. I never tried taking an interruption in the long rounds because I was pretty sure I couldn't make myself start up with P2 again after the break.

Very much looking forward to some reshaping this time. I thought my body was getting ready to do that in the last P3, but I didn't get the dramatic change that I've seen in previous P3's. Its time for that to happen. If I squish that extra middle fat together, I actually have a pretty good shape now. ^_^ It's too early yet to see changes from essentrics, but that may happen later as well.
