I was able to finish loading last night with our belated anniversary dinner. It was not meant to be a romantic evening, but a great loading opportunity. So, we went to a buffet, where I enjoyed my fried catfish, butterflied shrimp and bourbon chicken. YUM!! Worth the wait (once per year!) I totally overate, and decided to go ahead and have some of the "just brought out" pan of banana pudding for dessert. Couldn't finish it, and I don't regret it because last round I kept wishing I had given in and had some sweets during loading. Now, when I am craving sweets, I can remind myself of the ice cream and banana pudding I had and that I am NOT deprived. The rest of my 3 days of loading (I did an extra day because I lost weight from the flu the last few weeks) were VERY clean, so I did pretty well compared to past rounds. So, what does the scale say?

I was sure the scale was going to show a HUGE gain because I am very bloated. Both belly bloat and feet/legs full of fluid from the breaded foods/sugar. I was right! Up to 244 this morning, and I was 239'ish yesterday, so 4-5 pounds! Should come off quickly though, and with the long hhcg round, I should get to just within Onederland "IF" I have my typical results. Of course, on following rounds my losses will start to be less as I will have less to lose. But, for now, I still have so much to lose that I can expect big losses...one benefit to being morbidly obese...

So when I got home last night after the dinner and our janitorial job, and got all the food put away from my big shopping run before dinner, I couldn't sleep. My feet/hip and back were too sore once I was no longer wired from the caffeine I took earlier. Even on the recliner, I couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep until about 4 am. Awoke at 8 thinking it was Sunday...very confused for about 15 minutes until the elderly woman I give a Sunday morning wake-up call to set me straight (hehe!) and then I went back to sleep until noon. We have a pretty tight schedule this evening, so no time left for making my chicken until tomorrow. I had eggs for lunch, and will make chicken bok choy soup for dinner. For the family, the pot roast went into the oven instead of the crock pot. All else is good, and I am really looking forward to my date with the scale each morning this first week of Round 2!

Hi all! I just finished day 1 of VLCD. Itís my first round. I wasnít very hungry overall but am feeling a bit hungry tonight. I did notice that I felt kind of nauseous- but am wondering if thatís sort of a detox of all the fat I ate from loading (I didnít eat sugar on my load days but I did eat tons of fat and also some carbs). I use NuImage injections - the suggested amount is 200 but I did 150 based on everything Iíve read. Iím nervous that Iím not following the dose they said, but every blog and post Iíve read suggested starting at 150.

Sounds like you are doing great, Robin. Its normal to have a little bit of hunger the first few days of the diet, even if you load well. The HCG that you started with loading is at full strength by the end of VLCD1 and sometimes you get a few mild effects from that. Some also get headaches or a bit of nausea. All normal. You were right to lower your dose to 150iu. A little ginger added to your water or hot tea can help with the nausea.

Day 2 morning weigh in can feel like a Christmas present. I hope you get a good one!

Welcome Robin! I started the VLCD on Tuesday, and am still a little hungry, plus having a few mild cravings. By about day 4/5 I am usually not hungry except at mealtime, and do not have cravings at all until at least a month into the round (when I start daydreaming about P3 food!)

Looking forward to following your progress in the days/weeks ahead!

So I am UP 4 more pounds today. Just finishing some steroids, and had to take Ibuprofen last night, too (I always react to it by gaining a ton of fluid.) Not concerned with the scale because my feet barely fit in my shoes. I am still very bloated from the fat loading so my stomach has not gone down yet either. Another 2 days and I should feel good and hopefully be back at my pre-loading weight. Also, once I get home from all my errands today, I can take my rx water pill and start getting the fluid back under control so I can wear my shoes for work tomorrow . Probably have 6 pounds of just excess fluid on me right now (not unusual for me; I can fluctuate 6-9 overnight when I get like this.)

Wow, tightwad, you are pretty amazing. I would be freaking out if I had water retention issues like that. But you seem to take it all in stride.

Hope you get a nice big drop over the next couple of days.

Hello all! Can I join you? I am loading this weekend for probably my 5th round. Nothing too extreme, it just seems like I'm at the point where I need to do the diet about once a year to reign myself in and get rid of the 10-15 lbs that creep up during the winter. Also, it's by FAR the best way to lose my hips and GUT, which is where I seem to put weight on QUICKLY.

I ordered drops from GFC Health products and should have asked before now but I can't seem to get the search function to work! Let me know if anyone has heard anything bad about these drops now, I want to make sure they're still okay!

Tightwad, it sounds like you have a great handle on things! Be wary of Ibuprofen in P2 - I learned the hard way the coating has starch

    Best of luck to everyone!

Hi guys! This is my first time on the hcg diet and I took my first dose of HCG today. My weight has crept up a bit and I would like to lose 15-20 lbs and KEEP IT OFF. The weight creep has been a mental screw up with my mind and I know I need to get it off. When I start feeling uncomfortable in my clothing and feeling unconfident I know it's time to do something. I have lost and kept off a lot of weight (about 80) but the last 10-20 lbs is a beast. 've dropped 10 of it before but haven't been able to keep it off. I really need to lose 20 and I've never hit that as it's my goal weight. I hope this works! I did feel some hunger today but it wasn't too bad. I'm hoping it gets less and less

    welcome dreamingofgoal,
We all fight that weight creep for sure.

This is important: You must load for two days WHILE on HCG. The HCG takes 3 full days to build up in your body and get your fat stores circulating. Starting the low calorie diet without these two loading days on HCG will mean you will be hungry for the first week and likely to have poor losses. You can start loading right now and into tomorrow and you should be ok.

If you haven't read the m****cript for the original protocol, you can find it here:
    http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcg-diet-simeons-m****cript
I read it several times through anytime I am doing a round.

Robin, thats a nice loss for your first VLC weighin. The first week losses are exciting, I bet you get another good one tomorrow.

Hi all, I am finishing up P2 day 2 and feeling pretty good overall. Definitely adjusting to that empty feeling in my stomach, especially in the evenings (aka now!). So, I had a Zevia soda today, as well as Walden Farms "creamer" in my coffees, because I had read on some forums that they were okay. But now I'm reading mixed things and wondered what you all thought. I don't want to compromise my weight loss efforts, so if they cause stalls, I'll just get rid of them. Thanks for any feedback or advice! Hope everyone is having a good day!
