Thread: April 2018 Loaders - Digging out

    Started VLCD today!

So I loaded on Monday and Tuesday (gained 1.5 lbs ) and today, 4/18/2018, I have started my VLCD. Is it normal to have a headache on the first day, considering the very low calories?

Very normal. Peppermint tea can help. They should fade in a day or two.

I rarely get headaches on any occasion, but always had the VLCD days 1 & 2 headache. I always took two Aleve (which also helped with any inflammation), and was fine an hour or so later.

This time I'm planning to to a 26 day round and I'm going to try to do a clean load with lots of healthy fats instead of all the sugar I ate loading for the first round. Good luck to everyone here!
I'm happy to report that my HCG package was found!! I started loading today. I'm very excited to start Round 2.

Welcome to round 2! This forum has been pretty quiet the last week or so. Many have worked their way over to the Lovely Losers Monthly Support Group forum. Here's the link for April...

    Hi Everyone!

I just started HCG rx drops today and am so excited! I've been doing a paleo ketosis diet since January, with no luck in weight loss. I'm really optimistic that HCG will give me the boost I need to start losing.

I work for a holistic MD who prescribed the drops. However, he doesn't know enough about the diet to advise me about the phases or what to eat. I've already learned a lot through this website and forum and am happy to have this support available!

I need to lose the 25 pounds I gained, seemingly overnight, after I turned 40. I have my 25th high school reunion this summer, which has given me the motivation to try this plan. Loading day #1 has been alright, but I feel very, very full after my lunch of egg salad on lettuce, coconut milk yogurt, and homemade PB cups (almond butter, coconut oil, and cocoa powder). Dinner will be salmon, avocado, kale, and more PB cups.

I know I'm joining late in April, but look forward to sharing this journey with all of you!

Glad you joined the group jessejane. Theres a lot of experience in these forums, so I'm sure we can help guide you even if your doctor can't. The best place to start is to read the original manuscript. Its always available via a link in the top blue menu bar. The approved food list is in there so you know what to eat.
