April 2020 Loaders - A Spring in our Step

    Welcome April loaders!

This months word is Optimism. Just like the metaphor of spring, we have hope in new beginnings, new healthier eating that leads to long term success. HCG will help you get there. Physically, this is the easiest diet you will every do because of the near total lack of hunger. Mentally, it can be one of the most challenging.

So stick together and encourage one another. Use this thread for planning, sharing concerns, questions or whatever you need to get through the day. My input on this thread will always be based in the original protocol, but you will be supported no matter what variation you might be doing. You'll just have to pick and choose what advice is right for you.

    Good luck to all!

Kristy, you have lots of great motivations. I think that having this enforced stay home order could be a great benefit. No social events to deal with does remove one point of P2 stress.

Rose, sorry you have to be losing the same weight again, but I'm happy to see you on the forums again. I saw another post where you said your losses were good this time, so yay for that too. ^_^

I am not minding this round but yesterday felt very weak with sore throat so of course we all get panicky with the CV but i realize my salt was prob low with maybe too much water, No temp and sore throat went away with sudafed. Blood pressure 129/74 so that was good. At 77;i have to be careful though i dont think of myself as elderly. Lol
When i say weight losses were good...for me that is a little over half lb per day with no hunger except usually close to lunch time. I do eat fruit in morning around 10.
Today day 18 and down 9.8 lb from start weight or 11 lb from load.

@Kristy. So glad u chose to do injections. Rather than tablet. I was miserable with tablet, Leez can arrest to that. You must lose very quickly if you are planning 30-40 lb loss before June. Is that in one round or two? Happy it will be at an at home time. So much easier to avoid interruptions, Much success to you.

Hi! Is it possible to lose 20 in a short round? This is my first time trying the diet and I am hoping to lose 20 lbs in 30 days. Is there an average daily weight loss? Or weekly weight loss? Does loss tend to differ by week? I just wonder if I am being unrealistic.

I am using homeopathic drops, if that makes a difference! Thanks!!

    Hi Tguch,
It is possible. We had a gal on here a while ago that lost 34 pounds in a 23 dose round. However, that is rare. A good loss for any round for women is an average of .5 pound a day. So 15 pounds in a 30 dose day round. Most people will achieve a 12-15 pound loss in that time. However, there are a few lucky ones who might lose 20 or even 25 pounds in that time. Hopefully, you are one of them.

Most people have their best losses in the first week. Its not unusual to lose 8-12 pounds (from your loading weight). It slows down after that. You likely won't have daily losses after the first week or so, but will lose in starts and stops. But in the end most people achieve that .5 pound loss per day average. Stalls of 4-10 days are not unusual. (Maddening, but not unusual). So if you hit one or more, don't panic or think you are doing something wrong. Just hang in and eventually you will get a woosh and move on.

If you have a lot of weight to lose, you could have a bigger loss just because of that. But its really individual to your body and the way it reacts to the HCG.

People lose and stabilize equally well with homeopathic or RX HCG. That has always amazed me.

Thank you Leez! To be honest, my losses have not been incredible these first few days. For example, today is Day 6 and I only lost 0.2 lbs from yesterday. But I look different! And as another poster just wrote on a different thread: its pounds AND inches.

Plus I think maybe I could make some refinements in my diet. For example, I have been using broth to cook food in - strictly following the plan would not involve using broth. So today I will only use water. And my beef yesterday was 85% lean - I drained it, but still. So today I will be more vigilant in adhering strictly and see if that improves my losses.

Also, I started menstruating yesterday (sorry if TMI!) - could that influence losses?

Thanks everyone! Have a great April fools Day! Hey, maybe my scale was playing a prank on me!

Absolutely, the start of your cycle can halt losses for a few days, or even make you gain temporarily. That is one reason to put off starting until just after it passes, so you don't mess up that first week to ten days of really good losses. You can skip dose on your heaviest day if you like, but its not required.

The beef was a mistake, yes. You might have gotten away with it if you had rinsed well with hot water after cooking, but on the whole, no beef other than veal is really lean enough.

Broth can work if you find a fat-free, chemical-free version and count whatever calories are in it. Calories will be about 1 per cup. So a couple tablespoons for sauteeing is not going to derail you. I was surprised, though, that you can make a very tasty soup with just cabbage, chicken breast and water with a few spices.

Havent checked in for couple of days...feeling a little weak and high pollen right now in Houston

Today is week 4 of vlcd and weight up and down for 3 days but stabilized 10.2 lb loss from beg weight and 11.6 lb from load weight. This is Not unusual bUt still annoying. I always have a few days like this eating same thing. I have one more week to go to finish and then 72 hr more. I would love to see a 4 lb drop before P3 . Very optimistic goal but that is what i hope for. I dont intend to go longer than 30 days with all this covid stuff It will get me close to my goal and my stomach has finally flattened out and at 77 that is a good thing

My average is still around .5 lb per day no matter what except slightly higher losses in 2011 when i weighed over 200 lbs (206) Glad i never saw that number the past 9 years.

I have had to add some salt to my diet and cut down on my water. Have had some urine retention and clear urine and from what i read it is low blood sodium that causes weakness.

THANK YOU Leez! Well I will consider myself lucky that I lost anything then considering the double whammy I gave myself. No more beef then. Ok!

And hopefully I can rally and restart a good loss flow. Day 1 was 3 lbs (taking me to preload weight), then -1.4, but then -0.6, -0.4, and -0.2. Ok though, onwards and positive thinking! Optimism!
