My other favorite to order at a restaurant is a steamed lobster tail (without the butter of course). They usually don't add anything to that except a dash of Old Bay Seasoning and slice of lemon, which I use at home myself on seafood in P2.

The worse that can happen is that you will have a gain that you will stall at for 3-4 days, but once you get back on the plan you will start losing again after that :D
So true, I will be on P2 very low calorie eating for another 10 days after today, so I should lose anything I might gain. We'll see how it goes. This is life! Thanks for all the support everyone.
This morning I dropped .6. I am always happy with anything over half a lb. I have not been eating off protocol except yesterday when I fixed talipia for dinner, I ate a little more than protocol, probably 5 oz. It is just SOO good. I've started grilling on George Forman grill with spices and then thinly slice onion rings that I have poured a tsp or so of broth (very little) on top of them, before placing on grill half way thru cooking and they brown, and it is so good you don't miss any kind of sauce at all. Def doesn't taste like p2 meal. On P3 I would probably add a wedge salad, but for P2 eating it is delicious. Total lost since I began Round 1 in January --loaded Jan 8 and 9, is 37 lbs. That really is a substantial amt of weight. Hoping to lose another 4 lbs this round, we'll see since it is a short round. Only lost 9.2 (after load weight) this round so far, vlc day #16, so it has gone slow. But I'm ok with that.
I slept so badly both last nite and the nite before. My little Boston Terrier has been getting me up every 2 hours, no exaggeration to be let out. It is really resulting in terrible sleep, and I am afraid he is getting in a habit of going out late at night to sniff for nocturnal animals! Think a dog crate is in the cards for him, so I can get much needed, healthy sleep!
Happy Monday everyone!
Leez, I posted the below on the Lovely thread, but wanted to get your perspective as well:
I think I’m slowly coming to the realization that the goal weight I have in my mind may not be realistic for me. I have more muscle now from working out so I believe my increase in muscle density over the past year has put me at a higher weight for maintaining. I’m also not sure I have much more fat to lose. This is a good place to be I keep telling myself, but the scale really messes with my mind. I WANT to be able to maintain a lower number on the scale, but I’m beginning to think that I might be setting myself up for failure. I am now 8 days back into P2 from my 2 week PI. I weigh exactly the same as I did when I started the PI. Now granted, I only wanted to lose 2-3 more lbs from my last LDW, but it’s just not happening. I did gain a couple of pounds while in PI, so I was maintaining during that time in the top part of my window. Prior to returning to P2, I loaded 1 day and ate non P3 foods during the load. In a nutshell my only progress has been losing the load weight plus the 2 pounds I went up from LDW, so I’m exactly back to where I was when starting the PI. I feel good about how I look, it’s just that stupid scale number! Today and tomorrow are my last 2 days of pellets then I will transition into P3 on Friday. Will see what happens. Maybe the scale will be kind to me. I definitely haven’t experienced those week 1 losses like I was hoping....maybe they are just not there to lose
Dubbles, good luck with your dinner out. Try to enjoy the company and just do the best you can. Lack of sleep is terrible. I have so many problems with that. I would definitely get a dog crate.
jgd, it can take a while for that realization to sink in. That our best weight for maintaining now is not going to be the same as our best weight in a previous season of life.
If you feel like there isn't much more to lose, that is a good realistic place to stay, regardless of what the scale says. I totally get how the scale messes with your mind.
My concession to the mind game about scale numbers is to keep my desired goal weight on my drivers license. Its only a few pounds lower than I actually am, and no one looking at me and the number would know the difference. But for some reason I find it comforting to see it there. My last 5 rounds were to get back to that number. I succeeded each time, but I couldn't stay there. It took me 5 rounds to accept that. So its all a process.
Even if you don't lose more in the last part of your round, maybe you can take some comfort that you are setting yourself up for the most solid stabilization possible by doing the long round. I'm rooting for you for a nice drop before you end, though!
Good Morning Loading Bunnies and Leez!
I am back. I feel so lucky to be a part of this group and "see" some familiar warriors. I have had some Hashimoto's thyroid issues and that is only part of the story. I just had lab work done the day before I started this round. I went up 3.5 pounds overnight, it did not come off after 4 days of clean eating, in fact, I went up another 4 pounds. When that did not come off--and I was already up 2 pounds over my window, but instead I was gaining more and freezing, I knew it was time to move forward with a round. Otherwise, "being careful" was clearly not working and I worry about messing up my metabolism. This is not normal weight gain. My thyroid itself is enlarged as well.
But also, in the interest of full disclosure, staying in my weight range was suddenly becoming more of a struggle. My doctor thinks it was because of the Hashimoto's attack, but I am not so sure. Maintenance is a journey/puzzle that I a am still trying to get better at. I really thought I was just done with dieting.... I have to learn more about maintaining because the struggle is so real!!!!
Leez when I get my thyroid results can I share them? Here or would you prefer a new thread?
Also, FWIW and sorry this is late, I always call the restaurant and ask them what would work in advance. People are usually very nice and it saves having to cross examine the waiter and get into a discussion at the table...So pleased it all worked out for you!
Today is P2 Day 2 and I am already down 4.6 pounds. Gosh I love week one!
Hope everyone has a great day!
RK
Hi rk, and totally sympathize with the thyroid woes. If that is out of whack, you can do everything 100% right and still start gaining. It is truly frightening when it happens that fast.
But you've taken action, and HCG will come through for you and give you time to sort out the rest. Knowing that has to be a great relief.
Thyroid discussions can get involved and technical, so its probably best to start a new thread if you want to discuss test results. Maybe put it in Grammys forum so she has the opportunity to review for you. She's the resident expert on thyroid here. And even though she doesn't post often, she's more likely to if it is there.
Hi Leez and Good Morning Bunnies!
Leez, Thank you for your support on the Thyroid battle. I know you are a fellow sufferer, and wow this can get frustrating. But I am pleased that this time I took action quickly and did a round instead of my past routine of living in denial until the weight really got out of whack. Also, I don't have the wardrobe of "fat clothes" I use to!giggle. The lack of large sizes really propells me forward giggle.
How is everyone today? I am down another pound. I love that week one!
I am feeling a bit weak so I am posting on another thread because I would love to have the energy boost other people get from hcg.
Have a great day!
RK
I think you are right. I may have to adjust my mindset with the scale. I feel good right now. I like the way I look and I feel strong! In fact, I want to get stronger, so I have started adding heavier weights to my workouts. I know I really need to work on portion control for maintenance and work on not going off the rails doing a full on binge at times, as I have the propensity to do that. I just hope I can get my **** together for maintenance. And I do have that number on my drivers license by the way! LOL!
So woke up to .2 less on scale, so not much change, but I’m now looking forward to P3 on Friday! Last day of pellets today, then transition days tmw and Thursday. Yum yum, bacon, eggs and avocado...get in my tummy!!
Good Morning bunnies,
JustGetterdone, we Are all jealous that you get to go to P3! Congratulations on a wonderful round. Yes, I have also found that the magic “ weight in my head goal” looks different on my body once I got down there. So you are right to stop now.
Dubbles Great that you are staying the course. It is hard toward the end but you are doing great!
AFM: I am Not sure if I have lost weight yet or not. I had to get up super early today to handle some work issues so I’m going to wait another hour before coffee and see what my weight loss is for the day. Right now I have not lost any weight for today but I am a bit constipated again. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
RK
Well, the scale is still toying with me. Another .2 drop this morning. Today was my first transition day off the pellets. One thing I noticed with the pellets is that they are not all the same size. I had some hunger yesterday and I think it was because for 2 of my doses one of the pellets was larger than normal. Probably should have just had the 1 large pellet for those 2 doses, but since it was was last dose day I figured it might actually help on my transition days and that theory was proved right for today at least. It was a really good day. No hunger at all. Making mental note of the pellet size thing though for future rounds in case I use them again. It still amazes me that the hhcg works as well as prescription hcg. And that it is as temperamental as far as dosing as prescription hcg. No doubt it’s just as effective (and a whole lot cheaper). It’s just the dosing that can be a pain.
RKthin, thanks. I am ready for P3! I know the first weeks of a round seem sooo looong, but No worries, you will be there before you know it!
