Well, another drop this morning from my final transition day, .4 drop. Very happy about that but wish these losses had come earlier since I never seem to keep any transition day losses. As of this morning, I am exactly 1 lb away from where I ultimately hoped to be. Oh well, I’m not sad as I have so much good food to look forward to eating today! TGIF everyone!

JGD, Good for you getting to P3! I'm jealous of what you have to look forward to today! Seriously, enjoy! Breakfast, yah!

Hello there, Bunny ladies! Thanks for all your comments about set points, weight goals and welcome wishes. I am happy to be a part of this small but powerful group. And yes, I start P1 tomorrow...I am going out for Indian food which is filling as heck. Gonna try to focus on clean fats rather than gobbling up every junky thing in site. Probably will do one final ice cream sundae though. xoxo Hallie

Welcome Hallieadrienne, and good luck as you start into your round tomorrow. Your loading plan is my idea of the best way to load. Mostly good fats and one or two treats that you find enjoyable. I like to stick to mostly healthy fats, but usually include a pint of Haagen-Dazs coffee icecream somewhere in my load. It brings happiness!

I had a 1.8 gain from yesterday. Because of the transition days losses Iím still within my window. Iím sitting 1 lb over LDW, but I still find myself very frustrated with a 1.8 overnight gain! It just doesnít seem right! I ate very clean yesterday. I prepare all my food so I know itís clean. The only 2 things that were new were sesame seeds and cauliflower, both of which Iím normally fine with. I did have 3 #2 movements after weighing, but I donít think it was 1.8 worth! Itís also possible that I could have some water retention from squatting weights yesterday but I donít feel super sore. I donít want to do a steak day right now, and I know technically Iím not there yet, but Iím freaking out just a little bit. I have decided to do a high protein day and hopefully the scale will be kind to me tmw. Again, just feeling super frustrated and needed to vent.

jdg, its important to resist the urge to correct when something like this gain happens at the beginning of P3. Remember that scenarios like this is the very reason transition day losses are not figured into the LIW. They are meant to be a cushion as your body adapts to P3 eating. Adjustment happens as we move into an eating pattern with more volume and calories. We can't expect to keep the transition days losses, and sometimes they disappear way to quickly for comfort, but really, it seems to me that is all that is happening.

It won't hurt to do a high protein day, since calories will still be up, but don't be surprised if it doesn't change the scale much.

I know its hard not to freak out, but you know you ate properly yesterday, so try to trust that you are just experiencing a little scale wildness that can be common the first week of P3.

Of course Leez gave the perfect advice. I remember getting close to needing a steak day, so I did the all protein day instead and went down a lb. the next a.m. I don't know that I have it in me to do "steak day" proper. I know it is frustrating, especially since you are fixing your own food, but it will come back down some. Like Leez said, just fluctuations. Hang in there, try not to freak out, and hopefully you will be rewarded at weight-in after an all protein day. On my all protein day I didn't worry about fats, I still had my sausage in the a.m. plus protein thru out the day, and my chicken with mayo/mustard dip for my chicken.

Don't underestimate the weight of a good BM LOL!

It is unsettling, I know the feeling, but you really just need to eat clean and give it a few days. I have ended up stabilizing 1lbs over my LDW twice now and adjusted it so as to not freak out and actually have the 2-pound margin. It is hard to wrap one's head around that being a good thing but it was a life changer. Not saying you will need to do this but your body is adjusting and changing. Lots of shaping and reshuffling is still happening too.

Goodness me, I slept for hours and hours last night. Woke up and luckily lost all 4.2 lbs I had gained during P1. Yahoo! We're off and running. Have a great day, ladies.
