Thanks much, Leez. I had relief FINALLY this am. Lost 1.2 lbs and am down 7.4 after 14 days...averaging .49/day, so that's better than I thought. I'm just used to more regular losses every morning. Maybe this coming 3rd week will be more like the 'good ol days of hcg'. I'm going to up my magnesium again tonight and have a cup of Smooth Move, together with the vitamin C. Part of it may be that I'm working for the first time in a year....up at 3:45am, commuting for 1.5 hours...working hard for 10, then another commute home. It's more than I'm used to and could qualify as exercise.

I find for myself that a drastic change in schedule can affect elimination. So that may be a part of what you are dealing with. Happy news that your losses are on track.

    Hi Leez,

I hope this message finds you well. I have spent the last week on the floor with severe sciatica pain. I have not ever had this and apparently re-injured it and inflamed the nerve. On top of that, my mom fell on Mother's Day and fractured her rib so I have been trying to help her. I am taking Naproxen and Acetaminophen, and Lidocaine 5% patches (12 hours a day at night so I can sleep), Epsom salt baths and ice packs. They wanted me to take Ibuprofen to decrease the swelling, but it does not help my nerve pain like Naproxen so I could not tolerate it. Needless to say, I have not had any appetite, but I am also not moving except to help mom. I am not taking the codeine medication because I hate that stuff. I continue to need/use the magnesium Vitamin C regimen in the evening to "keep things moving".

Today is the first day I feel 50% better. I have never experienced this before. I saw a chiropractor last week and will see him again on Wednesday.

I weighed myself today and was disappointed to see that in the past 10 days I have only lost 2 pounds. I was surprised that I did not have better numbers. Will this regimen interfere with my weight loss? Could you please share your thoughts?

    Thank you,

    Fondly,
    RK

It all about inflammation, and as you describe, you are dealing with a lot of it. And that will keep you from losing even if you eating very little. When the inflammation recedes, the extra water your body is holding in an effort to dilute it will pass.

Are you trying to lose while dealing with this? I think that would add unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation.

An ibuprophen substitute you might try is corydalis. Its an ayurvedic herbal remedy that in 50% of people relieves pain and inflammation as good or better than ibuprophen, without the nasty side effects and liver stress. If you are one of the lucky 50%, you will have found something safe and effective you can use anytime you need it. It works for my husband, but not for me. But I'm so glad he tried it. Its helped him immensely.

    HI Leez,

Thank you for your help! No, I called it a planned interruption but I thought since I was eating so little I would lose more. I just went back today. It was a 10 day break, so no need to load for me. Is there any brand of cordyalis he likes? I will give it a try! Thank you again.

I hope that it is ok that I post to you here. As you can tell, I am not thinking really clearly yet. If there is a thread you would prefer me to post on to get a reply from you, please let me know.

    Thank you again,

You can post anywhere and I will see it. My bookmark is the search page that shows all the new posts.

We buy this one: https://smile.amazon.com/Biotech-Nut...dp/B00JSDQXIS/ I like that there are no additives other than the gelatin capsule it comes in, and that its made in America.

    HI Leez,

I have ordered the corydalis. Hopefully it comes soon. Good news I am down 1.4 pounds today. I have more pain here on the ibuprofen but definitely less swelling. Have a great day and thank you again!

I hope it works for you. Glad you got a scale drop, it could indicate that inflammation is waning.

Losing weight is cool. The main thing is to keep fit and not get better again. Very often this happens to people when they lower their concentration after achieving a result.

Just wanted to check in with everyone to help myself stay accountable on my weight loss journey. I started P2 on April 5 and haven't looked back since. Successfully stabilized in P3 avoiding all starches and sugars. For P4 I decided to try Weight Watchers which fortunately has been successful for me so far. I started at 187.2 and currently I am at 162.2. I've been staying consistent with doing yoga every day to build strength and flexibility. My diet has improved drastically, my energy is better, and I feel healthier and stronger overall. I'm sincerely grateful for jump starting this process through HCG and I love this diet but I don't want to do it again lol so I am trying my hardest to build a healthier lifestyle overall. Thank you to everyone on these forums that got me through my hardest days. I am still taking it one day at a time.
