Congrats on the Mini Whoosh Linderlou!!! I'm working on my own stall now as well. I've been losing .2, .4, etc. for days. I did a steak day on Sunday and only lost .6 and today for NO REASON at all I gained .8. I was like WTH is going on! I was totally POP!! I was so upset this morning but I will still keep on my journey. Just disappointed with my slow losses this round.

Thank you - it was a relief to me as well.

For you, um I don't think you're supposed to do steak days in P2. They're for P3 in case you go above your 2 pound window over LIW. I think... Leez will correct me if I'm wrong. As I mentioned on the other thread, you are at an old setpoint and our bodies LIKE those setpoints and want to STAY there as long as possible. I also believe that you're very close to the end of your round and I know it is a common belief that if you end your round in a stall, it is much easier to stabilize in P3.

I know it is hard to get your head around stalls after you've been seeing great losses, like in your first round, but they happen and are all part of life. I always try to remind myself that I didn't gain all of this weight in 30 days, and I can't expect to drop all of it in 30 days. Sometimes it just takes another round (or 2 or 3) to get to where we want to be. Hang in there teetee, we are in this for the long haul, not for overnight results. Your body is just taking a break.

This protocol is so wonderful, really. I just dragged out an old chart from 2002/2003 where I was doing Atkins and weighing and charting every day. I just realized that it took me 2 YEARS to lose 22 pounds - WHAT? The fact that we can drop 15 - 30 pounds in 30 days is just amazing. Thank you Dr Simeons!

Linderlou is correct. Steak days are not POP for P2. There is no correction day in P2. An apple day is allowed should there be a stall, and will likely cause a bit of water release. But its hard on your body (you are allowed no liquids that day, only the 6 apples), and the loss is only temporary. Even Dr. Simeons says the apple day is only of psychological value. We don't recommend doing apple days.

By your report, you were not stalled, as you were losing daily, even if in small increments. The reason you gained is because your steak days messed with the action of the HCG and you had a rebound effect. The best thing to do is just stay on protocol, and don't sweat low or no-loss days. It all evens out in the end that you will have an average loss of about a half pound a day if you are woman, a pound a day if you are a man. You can't make that go any faster or lose more by manipulating the protocol.

I regularly go up on P2 and perfectly on protocol Sometimes up to a lb. But it always comes back down. It always happens on my round. Just do not let yourself get discouraged. If you continue on protocol you will end up less than you started. Maybe never as fast as you might want. Our bodies have regular fluid adjustments so do not fret. Just keep on.

Today is day 5 if P3. Back up close to LIW but in P3 there is always fluctuation. While I prefer it stay under it is nice to be eating well and minimal change Tuesday I had shredded cheddar made as a snack to a cheddar cracker. High sodium usually creates slight gain. I ordered some paleo grass fed beef sticks sugar free so I will have something to snack on in San Antonio during show. I was told it is too busy to go buy lunch. Leaving Friday and returning Sunday. Only a one day event during Fiesta but setup is day before.

Struggling a bit over here with hunger and just a desire to eat that seems to happen in the days leading up to my period. Eating protocol foods, but extra. Yesterday was a skip day and I felt way less hungry, so maybe my dose is still too high? Today I injected 125. We'll see how that goes.

Committing to POP today and back on the scale once my period arrives. These hormonal shifts can be brutal. Doing my best to just stay in the game. I still have a long way to go! Day 14 VLCD.

Having your cycle in the middle of a round can be very challenging, but you seem to have a good coping plan.

Basically you just have to ride it out and try to find non-food ways to deal with the fallout. Totally agree that hormonal shifts are formidable obstacles. Hang in there.

Your cycles seem to be especially volatile. Have you ever tried seed cycling? It might be something to consider after your round is done. Its basically rotating pumkin and sunflower seeds in two week stretches (related to moon phases) to help balance hormones. It can level out the highs and lows of the hormone shifts if your body responds to it.

Rose, You're doing a great job of stabilizing. Good luck at your show. So smart of you to be in P3 for that event. I believe you have a few others over the coming weeks too. Hope all goes well.

MissM, hang in there. Hope you get the dosing figured out. Hormonal shifts and all that goes with it are definitely not fun (as far as I can remember). Men don't know how lucky they have it....

Teetee, hope you're doing better and that the scale has started moving for you again.

GZ - how are you doing? Did you break through that stall yet?

AFM: Down 0.3 today. Not a big drop, but downwards! I am hoping to see a new decade sometime this week, fingers crossed. After that will be in familiar territory that my body seems to like (130s). Realistically, I know I will have to struggle with the old setpoint syndrome to get any further down from there. I'm ready to face it and stick it out as long as I can. I would love to get into the 120s by summer time. Not sure if it will happen, but I sure am gonna try!

Have a happy Hump Day everyone. Here's to great losses for us all this week.

Thanks LinderLou! I truly appreciate your kind words of encouragement. I did have a loss today of 1.1 which is the .8 I gained yesterday and .3 more. So I was glad about that. Even though in actuality it was just a .3 loss for me since I gained .8 for no reason..LOL!! But it's all good and I'm happy and grateful. And yes you're right I didn't gain it all in 30 days and won't lose it that fast either. I know the protocol works as long as you stick to it. Thank you again!
