    April 2023 Loaders - Amigos

    Welcome April 2023 loaders, this thread's for you!

    Use it in whatever way will help you stay strong through your round. Make plans, post concerns and questions, get and give support, or just post for accountability. Whatever helps you get through the day.

    I will be here to answer questions and give some guidance based on the original protocol, but anyone doing a variation is welcome to post here as well. And we always want to hear from our veteran HCG'ers that are willing to share their accumulated wisdom.

    Day 11 P3 144.8. .6 under LIW Steady sailing. Not strictly P3 as I do find I tolerate peanut butter tho technically not a nut. The PB with sliced apples is very satisfying when I don’t feel like cooking. Also eat Quest protein chips to snack as there is no sugar and made with whey protein I believe. I used to wait to P4 to eat them but they seem not to be affecting my maintenance lock in weight. There is no starch that I see under ingredients so maybe ok

    Good report rose. Your posts always seem to have some good wisdom and tips in them.

    I think lots of people do well with peanuts in P3. They are not expressly forbidden in the vague guidelines for P3 protocol, and my position has been that since their macros matches nuts rather than legumes, that they are fine to try in P3.


    The Quest chips do have a starch ingredient (cornstarch) and it looks like that is where most of the 5 grams of carbs per serving come from. But if you are keeping it to one serving and have found you do ok with it, you should be fine. We get little bits of starch from all kinds of things (like our meds and supplements for instance) and they have no real impact in the big picture. But I was looking at the tortilla style ones for that information. Some of the other flavors like the salt & vinegar ones, have potatoes as the 3rd ingredient in addition to the cornstarch. That would not be a good P3 choice.
