August 2021 Loaders - August Angels

Welcome August loaders, this thread is for you!

Use this topic to plan your round, share concerns, ask questions, get and give support, or just post for personal accountability---its all good.

I'll be around to give input based on the original protocol and other veterans may join in with their wisdom and experience as well. But sometime the best support is from those going through something with you.

Good luck, Angels, and may you have a great round.

    Hi everyone!!!!

I am back from a delightful week of camping and adding a couple of days to my PI. I think I am up 1-2 pounds depending on when I weigh so not too bad. I am getting ready to step into it tomorrow to get as low as I can in the remaining time.

Hope you all are well! I won't have time to read back so update your siggies so I know where you are at!

Just posted on Coco's thread but wouldn't hurt to post here too! VLCD day 1 starting tomorrow, and I'm excited! I finally bought HCGchica's recipes (it was hard to spend $50!) but I'm hoping to have more exciting meals this round than I did in 2016.

Welcomes to everyone. Here's to successful losing this month.

I've always enjoyed rediscovering how good plain fresh food can taste while in P2 of the diet. I usually wore out at least one George Foreman grill. If I were doing another round, I would probably be cooking most things in the air fryer.

Vlcd 25 11.2 lbs down 152.4 Slow and steady wins the race. Will stop Aug 20 and wait 72 hrs to start P3 Whatever the loss it is better than where i started and eating better a big plus . My average so far is slightlu under 1/2 lb per day Last few years i average .4 to .45 avg Last time i did 40 days i lost 16 lbs but my weight was not as high. Wherever i end up i know a few lbs will go down after i start P4. Next time not gonna wait so long to get it right. Because of breathing issues and exhaustion i wasnt sure what was happening but seem to be okay now. Start travel on Aug 23 so P3 will be good Will be home close to starting P4 .

    TGIF, Angels!

I'm still in P3 but am 5 lb up. I haven't been following protocol (no excuses, though I'm trying my third antidepressant in 6 months so the toll is heavy). I've eaten ice cream which seems to have turned into a security blanket of sorts ☹️ And that is extra bad because I think I'm somewhat intolerant and it makes me very gassy and uncomfortable. It also stops me up which is just an awful feeling (so why do I keep eating it??)

Honestly, I'm shocked I haven't gained 10+ lbs but I know I will if I don't pull it together. I'm still planning on R2 next month and want so badly to kick these sugar crutches.

I have an appt next week with my Gyn to get blood work done. I'm wondering if I'm perimenopausal and perhaps that is the cause for many issues right now (forgetfulness, irritability, increased appetite, sweating and hot constantly...). Sure would like to get some answers to help me find a wellbeing plan and follow for life.

Anyway, it's a disappointment all around for the most part, but there is a sliver of light further down the tunnel.

    Have a great weekend

Hang in there, Skeeballer. Menopause does come with all the gifts you describe. It's hard so I am glad you are seeing your Gyn. Hormones can fix this better than anti-depressants most of the time. Be kind to yourself, maybe even wait to start the next round until you start feeling a bit better. There is delicious dairy-free ice cream out there and even low-carb ice creams. It may help you comfort yourself and not feel awful physically at the same time.

Just doing a check in. Vlcd 26 (i think) 12 lb loss. Definitely slowing down losses but feeling well and skip daily weigh in occasionally to avoid discouragement. Two more weeks hcg Would love 8 lb loss but my history shows it is unlikely. Being under 150 will be a relief. Ultimate goal 140 but will try for that in P4 If not will do a short round in Oct or Nov

Rose, you're doing great! I admire how efficient you are and how well you seem to understand your body!! I'm still in awe of those of you who have successfully completed numerous rounds and stayed successful. I know it's because you followed protocol and listened to body and gave it what it needed and what worked. That is awesome!!

I'm so anxious for my Gyn appt on Monday. This morning and yesterday morning I've been so itchy. Feet, arms, legs, back, face. It's so weird. No bites or bumps, just irritatingly itchy. And I've been so sweaty lately. And annoyed, impatient and hungry. I just hope to find answers of some kind. I would hate for there to be no explanation.

And thank you, mrsstrong, for your response. I think you are 100% correct that I should wait on my 2nd round until I'm straightened out! I want to do R2 as on protocol as possible and really see what my body can do (and my mind). I've been on antidepressants for 27 years. These other symptoms are new! I have depression/anxiety and adult ADHD. We are just trying to find the right balance of meds. But my psychiatrist suggested getting some blood work at the gyn to see if anything else is out of whack. Please pray something can be fixed somewhere!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! My daughter starts kindergarten next Thursday and I'm an emotional mess, trying to soak up time. I wanted the summer to go by fast because being with a 5 year old and a 2 year old 24/7 is tough sometimes. But now I'm wondering where the summer went and trying to pack in as much activities and quality time as I can

What a wonderful motto to live by, SOMETIMES I GIVE IN, BUT I AM NOT GIVING UP.
