Checking in. New month. A little more than two weeks of injections to go. Planning on starting P3 around Aug 19-20. Scale hanging around 146.4 - 146.8 for last 5 days. Annoying. Lol

145.6 so a little over 10 lbs loss. Aug 17 will be my last injection so P3 will begin Aug 20th in evening so I will prob actually start eating Aug 21 since this round I have been taking my doses around 6-7 pm and I don’t eat late Not sure I will make the 140 goal in two more weeks. It will be very close. It has been a fairly easy round

Hey All: I am day #18. 9.6 pounds down (190.2 to 180.6). I'm not suffering but ....wishing I was posting bigger numbers. It seems slower than my previous rounds 3-4 years ago. Calculates to .54 per day so I know things are in order. My goal weight of 155, which is a size 6-8 for me (5' 5" solid frame) is still a long way off. However, I am already focusing on my forever maintenance plan. I obviously didn't do so well in the years following my last successful hCG journey and my firm intention is to "get it right" this time.

Leez, I am researching Thin Healthy Mama and would love input on this as well as the Fast Metabolism Plan. I have ordered both books and have a basic understanding of the foundations. Were these some of your recommendations? Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi kari, yes, both those plans are excellent. I think Fast Metabolism diet is a really good choice to do for at least a month once you've broken into P4 after your round. What it does is pretty quickly get rid of any carb sensitivity you may have developed over time. For me, I found I actually lost on the carb days after the first week or so. I don't recommend it for long term maintainance though. I feel it is too rigid and because certain foods are only used on a couple days out of the week, it takes planning to deal with leftovers that you can't eat again until the next week.

THM (Trim Healthy Mama) is a better choice for long term maintenance, as you can pretty much eat what you are hungry for with in the contexts of fuel types and meal timing. There is a learning curve, but once you get it, its very easy to follow.

Fantastic info! Looking forward to digesting all three books and will plan on following your advice. THM cookbook in hand now and admit it's a little daunting...getting the hang of it and expecting the light bulb to go off once I have the full plan book in hand I am still not sure whether to go for 40 days on this round of the hCG. I have 25 pounds to go. Thinking stop at 30 days and do a second round? Any thoughts on that? I think I'm looking forward to a break!

You have to have the right mindset to do the 40 day round. If you already are thinking about stopping at 30. A second round might be the way to go. You do have a 3rd choice though. After the 23 dose day, you can take an interruption of up to 13 days (not counting transition days) and then jump right back in and finish whatever you have left on your 40 dose days. Since you still have 25 pounds to go, its not likely that doing that would get you there, so you'd be looking at another round anyway.

The advantage of doing 2 separate rounds is that you get to practice maintainance in between and take your time. And that can be an invaluable learning experience.

Thanks for that My mindset is probably better suited to do a break after 23 days, two days of transition and then another 13 days on P3, then head back into the last of the 40 day round, which I will still have plenty of mixed 2:1 ratio hcg.

    Backing up in my story:

I purchased two vials of 5000 iu from Colin Watson's store. The first batch I mixed 1:1 and injected 125 with the exception of the first few days at 150 iu and one day at 160 iu. For some reason that I haven't been able to wiggle out, what should have been at least a 24 days supply ran out at 15 days. Did I mess up the mix? I bent one needle after filling it so I lost one day there. So my thoughts were: have I been injecting more than 125 iu all along because of a more concentrated mixture? Mixed the second vial and went about a 125 iu dose. And, I have felt jittery/empty/teeth clenching/tension headachy since I started new vial. This is the genesis of what started me thinking I was ready to shorten the round.....just not feeling great suddenly. And as I mentioned, my losses havn't been that exciting, but... I believe that's because I messed with the menu, I'm confessing to being uable to resist the feeling that I needed some starch carbs and ate a piece of toast several days in a row (which immediately relieved that tension head feeling) I skipped the higher carb apple and doubled strawberries, thinking I would save some margin.

Obviously, I don't know better than the original protocol, because I posted a gain of 1.2 pounds this morning. I did have some scale issues yesterday, I have a digital scale that sits on four sensor feet and one of the feet got dislodged It was comical.....the scale said I had lost 9 pounds overnight! I re-seated the foot and it regained it's function telling me that I had a 1.2 pound loss (checked it four times) so I was content. Now this morning, that loss was completely erased.

I have been having the exact same foods for 5 days in a row: chicken tender 100 g with 1/2 cuke, chicken tender with 3 cups spinach and 3 tbsp of homemade chicken bone broth, steamed. one apple and 1 cup of strawberries (maybe too many) Then two days.....the bread! I drink lots of water, some plain and a big thermos with vit c powder, l-theanine powder, NAC 1/8 tsp and apple cider vinegar. Can you straighten me out, dear Leez? I can resist all temptations as long as I feel well. I'm ok with some hunger but the jaw clenching, tension headache seems like that low carb flu feeling?

First, lets check to see you are actually taking the 125iu dose:

You said your mixture is 2:1, which I'm assuming is actually 1:2, or 5000iu HCG to 10ml bacteriostatic water

That means to take a 125iu dose, you would be pulling to 25 or .25 on your U-100 insulin syringe. Is that the case?

    5,000 divided by 10 = 500 IUs per ml

What dose do you want to take? divide the dose you want by the strength you just got.

    125 divided by 500 = .25 or 25
    (Your food choices are fine)

Try a 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar in your water (or a potassium pill) and see if it helps the feel-bads you are having.

If you decide to do the interruption, you will eat P3 style during the 13 days.

Hi Thank you! Yes I mean 5000 iu to 10 ml bac water! And I am pulling 25 units on the orange cap 100 unit insulin syringe. I'll try the potassium. If I get rid of the feel-bads, I'm going to be super content! If I interupt, I'll follow P3, but first two days of no injection, still P2, correct? I read somewhere that post-menopausal women sometimes needs an even lower dose? Thanks again!

72 hours after the last injection is the transition time. During these 72 hours, you continue to eat P2. Its just like ending a round to go into P3.

Its possible you could need to lower your dose. But lets see how you feel after the potassium before scheduling a skip day. You can take it several times during the day. Add a little mineral salt to your water as well. Helps with electrolytes.
