Hi, artschoolgirl!
I'm down .8 this morning. I guess the days of over a pound loss are over.
So, I've been reading up on this, and there seems to be, like so much else, varying opinions. Prior to getting myself in a cast a few weeks ago, I was extremely active, cycling 100-200 miles a week and weight training two to three days a week. As a 52-year-old woman, I lose whatever endurance and muscle gains I make quickly, and it takes forever to get things back, certainly not like when I was young. It was near impossible to lose weight while training, and my coach even said that in January, we were going to cut back on the mileage, and focus on strength and weight loss. I took this injury downtime to start this diet as I knew I couldn't do extreme exercise, but I'm already very frustrated at my muscle-tone loss from inactivity. My doctor said I could start exercising after week two, but just to avoid the heavy cardio where I might sweat a lot. I think I'm going back to my gym to start weight training next week, even if it means gains on the scale. I should still be burning fat, right?
