December 2018 Loaders - Holidays, pfft!

Hey there December loaders, this thread is for you!

Even though December is smack dab in the middle of all the holiday festivities, there are those that have the fortitude to pursue a personal goal despite the distractions of the season (or maybe because of them!). So welcome, and settle in here to plan and discuss, unload and anticipate your upcoming HCG success story. We know you'll have one, because simply put--HCG works!

I'll be popping in to help with questions and concerns, but you often get the best encouragement from those traveling the road with you. The peer support on these forums have helped many along on what can be a lonely journey. Those in our social circles can be judgmental and discouraging because of the seeming severity of this protocol. It's important to your peace of mind to stay positive during P2, and we can help you do that.

Any input I offer will be based on the original protocol. It is offered as baseline wisdom because we know the original protocol works. You can, of course, proceed in whatever variation or personalization you decide is right for you. We're here to help you succeed.

All the best as you start on this next step in your journey to your goals.

I just received my pellets from NuImage and I will start loading tomorrow! Not sure whether to just do 2 or 3 days of loading.

I will be doing the 26 day program which should be very interesting because of the holidays. However, I'm not overly concerned because we were on vacation during my entire maintenance phase of the last round and I was shocked that I stabilized. My husband was going to do this round with me but he is going to wait until after Christmas This is my second round- the first one I did was the 46 day program and I went from 215 to stabilizing at 176'ish. I'm nervous because I've heard a lot of people have a rough time or fail on a second round. Either way, I'm excited and I have my biotin, potassium and magnesium ready to go!!!

    Welcome to this thread, Kaylyn,

Doing more than 2 days of loading is generally overkill. It just makes an extra day of gains to lose once you start P2. The only time extra loading days are helpful is if you have been very low calorie for a very long time.

I've done P2s that overlapped holidays. Its really not that hard to stay in the groove. Holidays are just as joyous if you make it about the people instead of the food. (Maybe even moreso. )

I agree! And maybe the food I cook for others will get a little extra love because of my relationship with food I think I'm going to do the 2 days then - last time I felt like I really didn't 'need' the 3rd day and it was more because I was enjoying the unhealthy eating. Thanks for your reply!

Hello! I'm happy to see I'm not the only one doing this during the holiday I start my P2 today! Today will be mostly weighing out food, cooking and prepping my meals for the next couple of days to make life easier lol. Good luck when you start on Friday!

Kaylyn: What will you be prepping? Iíll be doing some hard boiled eggs, chicken (just weighing and packaging, not cooking) and getting proteins together from my freezer. I donít know what else to do!

My grocery delivery comes tonight. Iím nervous and excited to start tomorrow. My family isnít terribly supportive. Itís rather hard for me to diet with them.

You sound like you’re doing everything right! Is this your first round? I’m on my second and I remember being confused on random stuff my first round! Here’s exactly how I’m prepping and dealing with the cooking situation through this P2:

Today my prepping is going to be cooking some chicken and sirloin tip steaks. All I do is cut them all up and weigh each piece at 3.5 oz (raw). Then I will bake it all together in small casserole dishes. For example, one casserole dish will have some chicken and steak in it with garlic cloves and some spices for a savory taste. In another casserole dish I will do the same but add something like rosemary and spices like that for an herbal flavor. Then in another I will mix it with chili seasonings to make a spicy batch. After everything is cooked and cooled I just put each cooked 3.5 oz piece into a zip lock bag and put in the refrigerator. If there is a ton of food I will put some of them in the freezer and take them out later if I am running low on protein for a day/week.

This seems to help me SO much because I don’t like or want to have to cook the protein for my meals right before I eat on my specific schedule… it’s too much cooking for me personally! When I am ready to eat all I do is saute or steam whatever veggie I want, grab the meat out of the refrigerator, heat it up and the meal is done. I do this once a week and I switch up the meats, like for next week I will probably do 93% hamburger meatballs/patties/chili and fish for my 2 proteins or something like that.

I hear you on family making it tough. In my previous round my husband would have so much fun eating delicious food in front of me, ugh! However, after he saw how much weight I lost (30 lbs) he is planning on trying HCG after Christmas, so I think he will be “nicer” this round lol. To make it easier on myself and feeding the fam I am going to make a huge batch of chili today so that they will be fed for a couple days - then I will make a batch of something else after that like pot roast or whatever they want. I feel like that frees me up so I can stay busy doing other things that don’t involve cooking constantly.

Itís not my first round. My first was in 2012, but I havenít really done it since (Iíve started and quit a few days in). My husband isnít mean, but he thinks hcg doesnít do anything and Iím just eating too little. But if I donít tell him Iím doing it, he just thinks Iím being healthy lol. My teenage daughter is sweet and supportive, but she forgets Iím dieting and will bring me treats from the store, etc. I also teach middle and high school and my kiddos like to bring me candies and sodas! They poison me with love 😂😂😂

Anyhow,Iím determined to be successful this time around. Iím going to South Korea in May with my best friend and Iím determined to not be fat!!!

How much weight do you have to lose before youíre done?

OMG That would be so difficult getting gifts and treats like that lol! South Korea sounds awesome and that’s some good motivation! I am trying to get ready for that spring/summer weather and to feel good in a bikini again. My goal weight is 150 and I think I can get to 165 this round (we’ll see!) but I will be super happy in the 160’s for sure.

I unfortunately lost 2 of my HCG pellets, they fell down the sink! Note to self, do not try to pour pills or pellets into your hand over a sink! So instead of doing a 23 (26) day round I will be doing a 21 (24) day.... I am wondering if this is going to negatively affect anything? I know the length of the protocol is there for a reason so I am worried now :/ If anyone has any insight to this it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Any chance you can open the sink trap and find them? If it were me, I would wash them off and use them. Any grossness is secondary to jeopardizing all the work I had put into P2. If you can't get more pellets, another option would be to buy some hhcg and use that to finish your round. (You would overlap the two methods for a couple days to transition.)

You need a full 23 dose days (2 loading, 21 VLCDs) as a minimum in order to rest the hypothalamus enough so that your metabolism can reset at your ending weight. Less than that likely means some regain no matter how perfect your P3 is. Just do the best you can and adjust your LIW up if necessary so that you are not constantly doing steak days.
