Thread: December 2018 Loaders - Holidays, pfft!

Thank you for your response! I tried but could not get to them and they were all gooey from water already being down there anyway. Problem is solved though - Since my husband is going to do his first round (26 day) after Christmas I just went ahead and ordered a 46 day package so that he will have his all ready to go and I can take the extras from the overage. Plus, if this ever happened again during my or his round we will have extras. Whew... that was an expensive mistake but I'm happy that it's taken care of. I in no way want to mess up all the hard work!

    Loading today and tomorrow!

Hi! I have done multiple rounds since first discovering hcg in 2010. I have done hhcg pellets and drops as well as injections. I maintained pretty well for a few years and then my motivation continually declined... I got so tired of constantly worrying about what I ate and how much weight I gained that I just got fed up and looked for other answers. Earlier this year I started seeing a nutritionist/dietitian who encouraged intuitive eating and believes in Health at Every Size (HAES). It made total sense to me! I loved the idea of being able to live my life without dieting and thinking about every piece of food that went into my mouth. Unfortunately, I am now 25+ pounds heavier and 25+ pounds heavier than I have ever been. I'm so sad... so discouraged... I so bad wanted to eat intuitively. I just don't think that was the answer for me. A few months ago my husband and I moved to California with the goal of living in a state where we can be outside, get more exercise and live a healthier, more active lifestyle. We used to live in the Seattle area. About a month after we got here, I developed Plantar Fasciitis. In addition, I am in menopause... and with this extra weight it has become physically impossible to do things that I used to do, like paint my toenails for example! So, with that being said, I so grateful that I know the answer to how to fix this! Hcg works- it really does! In spite of my negative experience in gaining weight this past year, I did learn a lot about myself. I hope that I am able to use this experience and my recent revelations to not get myself in this situation again. I can't tell you how UNCOMFORTABLE I am physically! My husband and I are loading today and tomorrow and hope to do a long round. I am feeling a bit worried that I won't be able to stick with it, so I will be looking to these forums for encouragement and to keep my motivation in check. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!

You can stick to it, I wish you all the best on your round!!! I remember in the middle of my last round how excited I was when I was sitting in a chair, leaned over to pick something off the ground, and it was so easy... it actually shocked me a little. That right there was a mental turning point for me and I love being able to sit in a chair with my knees almost touching my chin because I had not done that in years lol. The feeling of being lighter and healthy is the greatest motivation (for me anyway!) The only way I maintained my weight in between my 2 HCG rounds was to eat until I was satisfied, not full. I ate a bunch, but only a little of it if that makes sense. Good luck on your round and you will definitely get encouragement here!!! <3

Thanks Kaylyn! What phase are you in right now?

I'm on my 13th day of P2 and I have lost about 10 pounds so far. This is my second round and I noticed that the first 4 days after loading are the hardest for me (mentally I think) - then after that it seems super easy/routine.

Well, I made it through P2D3.... lol! Today is day 4 and I'm down 3.4 pounds this morning. I already feel lighter! It's funny how carbs (starches) can totally bloat you and you just don't even realize it. Happy almost Friday, everyone!

Week 1 and down 6.8! Whoop! Whoop! Now if only that momentum would continue! Haha! The hardest part is over, though. It's a great feeling to be past that first week!

Question... How many of you (doing injections) skip a dose weekly? I have never done that in the past, but was thinking maybe I should. I just worry about getting hungry. I don't like to be hungry!!!

Congrats, nearly 7 pounds can make a huge difference in how you feel. Celebrating with you!

You can expect losses to slow in week 2-3. What is happening is your body is readjusting water stores after the fast loss of week one. You might even have a day or two of no losses. This is completely normal, and you will catch up.

I always skip in a long round. I have even skipped in short rounds. That gives you the advantage of having the option to extend to the long round if you feel you want to continue on. I've never had problems with unmanageble hunger on skip days. For me there is usually no hunger level difference on a skip day, and I continue with whatever my losing pattern is.

But it's also normal to be a little bit hungry by evening of your skip day when your are on your optimum dose. It just means your levels have dropped a bit.

Thanks Leez. As far as skipping, I think that should have been today. Today was my 7th injection. Should I skip tomorrow or just wait until day 14?

My husband has been having hunger, mostly in the afternoon. His dose is at 150. Do you think he should up it? If so, how much? And, when should he skip his weekly dose? I'm thinking wait until day 14 for both of us to ensure we have the right dosages. We are planning on doing a long round.

My typical losses overall are a 1/2 pound a day. I love the initial losses, but know it doesn't last. Luckily it helps get the momentum going though.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Yes, skip tomorrow, and then keep that day as your regular skip day for the rest of the round. For me, Sunday was a good choice because my schedule was different that day, so it worked out nicely not to have to deal with injection timing during a busy morning.

If your husband is having hunger, he should do a skip day to find out whether his dose is too high or too low. You can't know without doing a skip day.

If on his skip day, hunger goes away by late afternoon/early evening, then he should lower his dose. If hunger is worse, he should raise dose the next day. Adjust dose by 25iu either up or down depending on skip day results.

There is no reason to put off starting skip days for 2 weeks. You can start your first one any time around the 7 day mark. However, the timing doesn't need to be exact. If it turns out not to be the best day of the week going forward for that, then you can adjust to a different day next week as long as there have been at least 4 dose days between the skip days.
