Hello, HCG veteran here but first time with injections. The Homeopathic drops aren't what they used to be and I have about a 6-day success with them at this point then it all falls apart. Started my first injection today on day 1 of loading. Hope to do about 30 day round.

I've always only done injections, and have had success every time. I expect you will do great.

What brand homeopathic have you been using? The ones people are currently finding success with are Intermountain and InsideOut Wellness.

Happy loading. I hope you can enjoy it. I have learned to have a big breakfast the first loading day so I can enjoy it. A few hours after the first injection, the appetite suppression kicks in and I have to force myself to eat through the rest of loading time. It's such a cruel joke.

I got HCGRX I looked it up and saw some good reviews, we will see as of today since it is day 1 of Phase 2. I am never hungry before noon so I won't know how it working until later today. I haven't had that cold feeling since my first 3 rounds of HCG in 2012, I think they made changes to Homeopathic drops and they lost some of their capabilities. Hope this is different for me this time, the last 5 attempts on the diet would all start out well and by day 3 I would be starving at night and have to eat then back for 3-4 days then starving. I went on this forum to ask for suggestions and I was told to skip drops to see if I was taking too many but since I am not hungry in the mornings it was hard to tell if it worked. But ultimately I was on the diet for 30 days last time limping along and having to break the diet every 3-4 days so it was a waste.

    Hope the HCGRX works.

I took a look at their site. It looks like you found a very good price. I did notice that they are recommending you start at at dose of 200iu. I would strongly suggest you choose a starting dose of either 150iu or 125iu (the dose Dr. Simeons used in the protocol) You probably already know this, but mentioning just in case it is something that you wish to discuss.

Thanks for the info. I did lower it a little below to 150iu. What would be the signs I took too much would it be hunger?

Yes. You would notice an abnormal kind of strong hunger that does not go away when you eat, or appears after you eat. Another tip off can be poor losses.

Good morning Leez, day 1 so far so good. But I do well for my first 3 days even with drops so we will see. Thank you for all the info you have been providing I appreciate it.

One more question, you mentioned the 125iu to 150iu shots per day whereas HCGRX directions show 200iu but we never discussed how I mixed the HCG with the water. I have 5000 iu HCG vials and they had me mix 5ml of Bacteriostatic Water. Doesn't the volume and the mix ratios affect the amount I take each day?

The volume and ratios absolutely determine your dose. If you mixed according to their directions, you would be pulling 15 or .15 to get a dose of 150iu. (using a U-100 syringe)

Here's the math, so you can always figure it out no matter what the ratios are.

5,000 ius HCG divided by 5ml bac water = 1000 IUs per ml

Now divide the dose you want by the strength you just got.

    200 divided by 1000 = .2 or 20
    175 divided by 1000 = .17 or 17
    150 divided by 1000 = .15 or 15
    125 divided by 1000 = .12 or 12

However, we don't recommend using that strong a mix which is considered 1:1. You have to work with what you have mixed now, but for future rounds, please mix in a 1:2 or 1:4 ratio for better accuracy and dispersion. The reason that the 1:1 mix is not as accurate is that some always gets left in the needle, and when the mix is that potent, you are losing a bigger amount of your dose each time. Not a deal breaker. It will still work. But there's a better way to do it.

A 1:2 mix would look like this: 5000iu HCG with 10ml bacteriostatic water. The math:

    5,000 divided by 10 = 500 IUs per ml

divide the dose you want by the strength you just got.

    200 divided by 500 = .4 or 40
    175 divided by 500 = .35 or 35
    150 divided by 500 = .3 or 30
    125 divided by 500 = .25 or 25

Hello Leez, thank you again for the info. I just mixed another dose according to your 1:2 mix.

It's been a hard journey so far, in the beginning, I had dosage issues that led to major hunger along with breaking the diet a couple of times.

Now I seem to be fine with the 150iu to 200iu range, I get an odd occasional hunger late at night after being fine all day. I have had to eat a snack once this happens.

Also on top of all this, I am an emotional eater, I picked up that crutch in place of a former lifestyle of drugs and alcohol. When I am stressed I need to eat bad foods. I have had some setbacks in life recently so that has led to about 5 cheat days in December and 1 in January.

Been on the diet for 31 days while only losing 16lbs so far. I Hope things get more stable moving forward, also I have had some days with minimal weight loss that don't inspire me for the next day.

I hope to get past these setbacks that are delaying my true potential for weight loss.

Taking your report as a whole, it sounds like you are on track for an average loss from the protocol, which is about .5 pounds/day for women (1 pound/day for men) Considering your difficulties, that is a good result so far.

Question: when you say you are fine with the 150iu to 200iu dose, does that mean you are frequently changing dose? If not, please explain further. Dose changes need a minimum of 4 days in between to correctly assess the success of the change.

Maybe you will find this helpful: For myself, I find that a cup of special hot tea sometimes can take the place of a more decadent food in calming cravings. I like hibiscus tea with some sweetener. Another good one is the Bengal Spice. Another trick that can help you get past a craving is a bit of glutamine powder under your tongue. Hold it there till the craving passes. Can work in a few minutes.
