Thanks Kagee, but yesterday I was bad with the cheats! New leaf today and doing a steak day...I'm not posting a food log from yesterday because I did good at dinner, but I ate way too many sweets yesterday. I'm up to 155.8 now and not sure if it's TOM or all the bad choices I've made, or the combination of both, but I believe a steak day is in order.

So, as I get prepared to do my first steak day I was actually quite thrilled this morning. Not with the 2.4lbs I have put on over LDW, but with the fact that not only did I wear a dress yesterday that when I looked at it I thought, "There's no way that fits me." and now this morning putting on one of my suits for court that even though is my size used to fit me pretty snug, and now fits a little too big. So, although I, and TOM, have cause this 2.4lb increase, I am still happy with how I look and how I feel. But now, to get that 2.4lbs off (and maybe more)!

LOL, lawgal - we're in the same boat... after LL's Passover, gout week, etc. I'm 2.6 lbs over LIW - I don't think I can do a steak day anymore - did the one [ my first] 2 days after the apple day and gout gene didn't appreciate, so, today I'm eating 300g salmon, 2 hard boiled eggs, lettuce, with a little mayo, 1/4 cantaloupe, and coleslaw (with a bit of grated beet and carrot) with mayo based dressing. Maybe I'll add some beet greens and broccoli later if... can't imagine, hungry. A couple of days this past week I didn't get enough calories and have to watch the walking til totally gout-less. Ha, yesterday I was almost up to 4000 cals, mostly because after I made the cocoa crack(one recipe less dark choc more protein from whey and almond butter) I found out how good cocoa crack and apples taste together - couldn't stop eating it - had 2 apples.
I think I'm doing restorative yoga tonight -

Best of success with your steak day - I can just smell it now... vicariously! ; >

Hello everyone! Today has been a busy catching up day. I had court pretty much all day yesterday and lots of running around, so today I had to make and return phone calls and plan for court tomorrow morning. Then ran to the post office to mail off some stuff I sold on ebay... boy was that an endeavor. I sold this really big vase I got as a wedding gift... it just wasn't me. But there wasn't a box big enough at the post office to put it that didn't cost an arm and a leg or the necessity of buying extra stuff to pack around the box the vase already came in so it didn't slide around. So I went and bought packaging paper to put around the box and mailed it that way. I didn't have any scissors, so imagine trying to wrap xmas presents without scissors. It wasn't fun.

So, steak day really wasn't that hard for me, during the day, to go all day with just drinking water, tea and coffee. I usually have to remember to eat. Not that I'm not hungry, I just get so busy with what I'm doing that time gets away from me. But by the time dinner rolled around I was starving. So hungry that I figured eating 16oz of beef tenderloin would be no problem. Not so much. I will never do a steak day again unless I am desperate. It sucked. The apple after my steak was more enjoyable. Eating the last 4 pieces of my steak (besides what I gave to the dog) was hard. Thank goodness it worked because I would've been quite annoyed if I had eaten all that meat and not dropped anything or very little. But, I dropped 2lbs and am back down to 153.8, .4lbs over LDW. I woke up this morning and could not wait to have my FFF with raspberries, pecans and cinnamon. Yum! In fact, to get me under LDW and so that I have a little cushion, I will be doing a FFF day on Thursday. It will be convenient for my schedule since I won't have much time to cook or prepare anything other than throwing together my FFF with Smucker's Simply Fruit. I'm already excited about it. In the meantime, back to trying to figure out what I can eat and what I shouldn't eat. I'm good with eggs, I'm good with dairy and, according to early last week, I'm ok with Swiss and Provolone cheese. So, I just need to figure out other things at this point. Had the Jay Robb strawberry egg white protein shake today. Not a fan. I think I will be sticking with vanilla. I need to try the chocolate again but figure out the best way to make it. I think someone suggested using heavy cream, but I'm not sure how much. I will have to search that one.

How is everyone else today? Kagee, kudos to you on being able to do yoga. I'm not that bendee

Steak days stink. Its a good thing there are so many other correction days for people to do. I hope you figure out whats causing the gains when you have them. AFM I was down 3.4 today after my VLCD1. I am planning to try some new easy recipes for this round...hopefully be able to do soup and have it keep me full. For this week Im having hamburger, steak, chicken salad for my meals with either lettuce or cucumber. I hope you guys have had a great day!

Hi Smiley, lawgal - I'm still, up in weight and have been eating a lot, need a serious visit from the TMI fairy, too. The yoga was good - restorative yoga is tough in ways - not in an overactive way - hard to describe - - We'll be getting a hiatus though - the gal is going to Ca. to take care of a dear friend of hers with cancer.

Today I'm dealing with (and P*issed about) aggravating my rotator cuff chronic multi- tears thing - may have to go back to physical therapy. - not sure the yoga did it - it hurts most of the time anyway - Rt side - I'm right handed and use my cane on rt side, and type with it... never gets much rest.

lawgal - saw you on another thread today -
-- I was researching a FFF correction day - just know I can't handle any animal protein type correction day - Sooo, I will be doing a FFF day tomorrow. I've got to get another container mid day, but I have enough to start. Decided to do 3 more days on the gout attack med then change over to the gout maintenance med and hope that will do. If needed I guess I could do a whey shake day... Ha! Maybe a whey shake(seems to be ok for me) and cocoa crack day... gee what a sacrifice, lol.

Had salmon and tuna today - hands very stiff and feet, ankles, so a couple days break from animals not such a bad idea -

    - I won't be sorry to see P2 come round again. I am learning a lot and think it will all help me in the next round, hopefully.

Hi Guys! I've got some catching up to do...
It's been crazy busy here (I own a small retail shop) and have a high school graduation to prepare for in less than a month! I'm holding my own at 145 - 145.6 lbs.
I made the Fauxtato Salad and Mashed Fauxtato for Easter - it was a hit, also the fudge with peanut butter. Yumm! Easter morning was getting dressed and found a golf-ball size lump at the top of my ribcage and one lower on my ribcage. Never would have seen those with the weight on... having it checked out tomorrow and Friday going in to have a kydney stone exploded! Oh ya the joys of getting older. ; )

Looks like all 3 of you are heading back into P2, I'm going to head to P4 for the summer and try to maintain, then decide if I want to go lower. Besides I can't afford a whole new summer wardrobe right now.

Smiley- I did the Chicken Cabbage Soup and the Chili and both were tasty, filling and easy to grab-n-go!

Is FFF - full fat Fage? I love that too with berries for breakfast!

Have a great Wednesday, hope the sun is shining where you are!

blue moon - good luck with your golf balls - I hope they are just those harmless fatty 'tumor' things - I ran into them(literally) many times when I was a massage therapist and have a couple inside my shoulder blades [ my daughter called them mom's golf balls]. Hope your kidney stone explodes nicely, lots of infinitesimal specks that will pass without noticing.

    * ME* I'm going to do a full fat Fage day today - not sure my body wants to do any animal protein anymore, got very stiff etc from salmon and tuna(very low salt)... going to get some extra sharp cheddar today and have an apple and cheddar day tomorrow and see what happens - don't have much left of official P3 left - supposed to start P4 Sat night - may not or very slowly -- going to look at other protein sources, too.

    everyone have a good one!

Blue Moon - I guess graduation time of year is approaching quickly, huh? Yes, FFF means full fat fage.
Kagee - I hope you feel better and that you soon have your TMI experience. I'm going everyday, but it doesn't seem to be my issue.
Nicole - awesome loss after vlcd1!

AFM today, I'm getting a little frustrated. I'm back up to 154.4 and I stopped eating at 8/8:30 last night and got in 81 ounces of water. So today I'm not having any nuts, no dressing, and not having anything that can cause a stall (i.e. like the 8oz of Crystal Light Pink Lemonade I decided to try last night. It was refreshing to drink something flavored for a change and I love pink lemonade). I'm thinking I should lay off the avocado today too. I really enjoy it but I need to figure out what is causing my little gains... and making me feel somewhat bloated. I am also still spotting. I don't really have my period, as my doctor has said that I will spot until my body gets used to being on the pill for a 3 or 4 month cycle (as opposed to 28days). But I'm not really sure if bloating and water retention typically accompanies spotting. To top off the frustration, I'm taking L-Carnitine, Probiotics and Digestive Enzymes.

So far today I've had 3.5oz of FFF with raspberries and cinnamon and was still hungry so I finished off the container of 2% Fage I had which was about 1/2cup, also with cinnamon.

Here's my food log from yesterday:
Breakfast – 2 coffees with 1tbsp heavy cream; ½ cup FFF with 1/2c raspberries, cinnamon and ¼+1tbsp of pecans
Lunch – 3 slices of Jennie-O all natural smoked turkey breast with one slice of provolone cheese and half an avocado
Snack – Jay Robb strawberry egg white protein shake with one cup of frozen mixed berries, 2tbsp of heavy cream, 6oz of water, two ice cubes and two stevia packets; coffee with 1tbsp heavy cream
Dinner – 7oz NP chicken from whole chicken, 1.5c Dole American blend with 2tbsp ranch dressing and 1c cauliflower
Snack – 1/2c FFF with 2tbsp of all natural peach preserves and cinnamon

lawgal - TMI didn't help was up another lb from my salmon and low salt tuna yesterday, so we were both FFFage-ing today - had my first after 3:30pm with a few blackberries and pee-ing has commenced, yay!
I did have coffee with heavy cream at the mall [had my tiny dropper bottle of choc raspberry stevia with me]when I knew I was going to have to wait a long time for the next bus and hadn't eaten...
I think I might mix some of my double choc whey protein with one serving Fage with some dark choc stevia soon.[ I've had the dark choc stevia with the fage before, iz goot]

Hope your day is successful, lawgal - tell your female parts to behave!
