    February 2021 Loaders - Downsizers

Welcome February Loaders! This thread is for you!

Use this thread to support each other, share questions and concerns, plan your round, or just to be self accountable. I'll be monitoring to help as needed. All my suggestions will be based on the original protocol and are only offered for your consideration. You are always free to judge what is right for you.

Mid winter rounds can be challenging. There's that chill factor of HCG that makes it hard to stay warm, and that's happening in middle of winter, compounding the chill. I am always in great admiration of those who start rounds in the winter. I did one of mine in February and I don't ever remember being colder. The only time I was warm was when I was soaking in a hot bath. We had a gigantic water bill that month!

But the discomfort is a tradeoff for the total absence of hunger plus the promise of losing a couple of sizes---hence our group name: Downsizers. May you all experience this quickly!

    Good luck with your round!

Leez, strange you should mention winter rounds... I LOVE winter rounds, I was just working out when this round finishes and when I could double back and do a last round....

I guess we are more prone to hibernate in winter, so less temptation and I love soup, so I turn my veggies into soups and I am a happy bunny.... ADMITTEDLY.... our winters are not as bad as yours

Good luck to all starting out...

Welcome! I am assuming you bought homeopathic drops. To determine if your drops are real, check the ingredient list. The first ingredient should be HCG (human chorionic gonadotropen) followed by dilution strengths that look something like 3x 12x 60x.

It doesn't matter what the websites say, as their information has often not been updated to match the label on the bottle.

If that is not there, then you have a bottle of nice amino acids--but they are fake drops and will harm your metabolism if you try to do the protocol with them. If you find you have fake drops, stop now and start again when you get real ones.

People on the forums have had good success with Intermountain.

Thanks for replying, it says human chorionic gonadotropin HCG 6x 12x 30x 60x cell salt 6x 12x 30x 60x purified water and 20% sip alcohol.

If that is the first ingredient, you have real drops. The cell salts is a nice addition, as it helps with assimilation. Happy losing!

Here is an article on sweeteners written by our site owner: https://hcgdietinfo.com/best-hcg-diet-sweeteners/

Truvia is stevia with erythritol, so would qualify for P2 according to Jen. Erythritol is the only sugar alchohol that has no affect on blood sugar.

However, I would advise caution with Truvia, because in order to get a patent, they have altered both the stevia form and the erythritol form, making it a product different than naturally produced stevia and erythritol. I would use it cautiously and compare with how your body does on pure stevia extract.

The best tasting natural stevia I have found is Yungas Green, available through Naturamericas. It is Bolivian stevia, but ships from Florida. It was a game changer for me. Every other brand I tried left me with horrid aftertastes , some worse than others. I can now finally get things sweet enough without that problem. They will send you a sample for $5 so you can try it.

The protocol only allows stevia and saccharine. There is on ongoing controversy, that todays zero calorie sweeteners would be allowed on a modern version of the protocol, but anything beyond what is in the original protocol is an experiment, because there is no data available.

Thanks for the stevia recommendation, Leez, as well as the info about being cold on HCG. I got so chilled over the weekend I couldn't get warm, and yet my boyfriend said my skin was hot to the touch. It was so weird. I bundled up like crazy to fall asleep then woke up in the night in a sweat, went to the bathroom, then slept just fine the rest of the night/morning. It was almost like I had a fever that broke but never otherwise felt ill. A friend suggested it might be pre-menopause, but it wasn't a hot flash, and that didn't resonate with me. Maybe it's the HCG?

I ordered a sample of the stevia you recommended, and look forward to using it in things like sauces and salad dressings during P2 that just need that little bit of balance. Still trying to avoid the habit of needing my tea and coffee to be sweet, and since I'm already out of the habit in the interest of avoiding insulin spikes, why add it back just yet. Anyway, my point is, as usual, THANK YOU for your wealth of wisdom, knowledge, and resources!

Are we continuing last month's Loaders thread here? What's the diff between the loaders and losers threads? TIA!
