I bundled up like crazy to fall asleep then woke up in the night in a sweat, went to the bathroom, then slept just fine the rest of the night/morning. It was almost like I had a fever that broke but never otherwise felt ill. A friend suggested it might be pre-menopause, but it wasn't a hot flash, and that didn't resonate with me. Maybe it's the HCG?
Yes, the feeling of deep chill is a side effect of HCG working. Not everyone gets it, but if you do, it tells you HCG is hard at work doing its thing.

Are we continuing last month's Loaders thread here? What's the diff between the loaders and losers threads? TIA!
The Lovely Losers threads aren't geared to any particular phase of the diet, but are a place to discuss any phase you are on in the diet timeline and get peer support. The Loader threads are meant to provide a landing place for those getting started on a round. They are open to anyone who finds them useful, or is looking for loading and P2 guidance based on the original protocol. Anyone is welcome, included those doing variations, and often there is valuable input from forum veterans. Sometimes people stay on their initial loaders threads as they move into P3 and it becomes like a little group for a while. Some will jump to the new months loader thread as they continue in P2.

You can participate in any thread you like, or all of them. It doesn't tend to stay neatly sorted. ^_^

Hope you find Yungas stevia as awesome as I do. Sweeteners are so subjective though, so I love that they give you a chance to try theirs without having to make a major investment.

    Good afternoon lovelies!

I didn't get a "WHOOSH", but am satisfied with my "whoosh" of another pound down. Still chugging the hot water, enjoying the snow, and sad that when you work remotely - you don't get a snow day off from work :-(

On the stevia conversation, I occasionally use Splenda's Stevia with has stevia and erythritol. I didn't see any other mysterious ingredients, anyone have more insight?

Leez, I had a quick question about your thoughts on cocoa powder. What do you think? (Told you it was quick!!)

Dubbles, thanks for the info on your Lipo shots, I appreciate you.

I hope everyone is off to a great week and staying safe and warm wherever you may be.

    .
It's not in the protocol list of spices, so be aware of that, but I consider cocoa powder a spice and ok to use occasionally in P2 in small amounts. It does have a few calories, so you have to count them, but they are mostly fiber. My way to use it in P2 was to make a dip for my strawberries using 1T each cocoa powder and whole milk, with vanilla, sweetener and pink salt to taste. It was a life saver for those boring days when you just feel the need for some kind of treat. (And what is better than chocolate? ^_^ ) I had to plan ahead though, and not use my allowed T of milk in my coffee that morning.

Good morning and Happy Monday and February everyone!

So, as of today the pattern is down, down, down, stay. Same weight this morning. Not at all upset about it. Thinking of it as my body taking a deep breath before moving on. VLCD18 and 131.8. I'll take it! My plan is to go for a 40 day round to take advantage of the lockdown and lack of socializing. Upcoming challenges will be Super Bowl Sunday where we are planning an hors d’oeuvres fest during the game, but no real meal. I'll make sure to have shrimp and strawberries available and should be fine. The next challenge will be Valentine's Day, but promised DH that we will celebrate once restaurants open again. So 40 days takes me to February 23rd. Now that I am about halfway there, it is looking closer and closer. The losses this past week also help immensely

Have a great week everyone and keep up the good losses!

LinderLou, I was going to ask about your restaurants, but then see you are from California--so your lockdowns have been much more severe than in KY. Our restaurants have been open a while, with certain guidelines, like every other table closed, masks if you get out of your seat to go ladies room, and coming into and out of restaurant. Hopefully by spring or summer you all will open up more. Super Bowl Sunday won't be too bad for me--won't be doing a Super Bowl party this year. I am really for the Bucs now tho, since my Packers lost. But Valentine's day Dinner out with people is a big problem, so I will probably do a planned interruption for that time. 3 days off HCG, then I may as well do a week of P3, I'm thinking, before cycling back to another couple of weeks of P2. Then P3 proper, have a girlfriend coming in town either the end of March or 1st of week of April. Don't need huge meals, but would like a glass or two of wine to share, and maybe a controlled P3 meal out. Yep, lockdown time wouldv'e been a great time for P2, and like I said before -- I started then, but just did a e***xxtended Loading phase at that time. Oh well.

Sweetpea. looks like your ticker has you at 5 lb below target weight. Maybe I don't understand--you're doing another round? I wish I was 5 below my target weight. Good for you!

Sunshine, I'm with you, I don't know if we should post here or on the January thread, but Leez said either one, or both--guess I'm greedy, I go for both!. Loved your suggestion about the Weight-Loss Apocalypse book, only read 10-15 pages and already can tell I need this.

Dubles, it's not so much the lockdown with the restaurants, it's more the closed/open/closed, outdoor dining only, etc., etc. It has put many of our restaurants right out of business. We live in a very small, tourist supported town. Sadly, many restaurants couldn't make it through the lockdowns, uncertainty and lack of tourism. We only had 5 restaurants in town and about 8 in the other nearest town to us. Probably half are shut down now and the other half are mostly on takeout only. Even if they do offer dine in eating, I wouldn't be comfortable eating indoors at this point. Just not worth it...

As for Super Bowl, we usually go to some friends who live about 3 hours from us, in the Santa Cruz mountains (extended Bay Area), but that's obviously not happening this year, so we've decided to have a very small get together here. It's not so much about the football, but just a reason to see friends. Not to worry, these friends are part of our "pod" and we see them almost every Sunday anyway. There'll just be lots of food I cannot eat, at least right now. I'm not sure who I'm rooting for. I like both Brady and Mahomes. Our "home" team is the 49ers, and second favorite is N.O. Saints.

Hope things work out for you with a PI or P3 or whatever you decide to do. LOL about your extended loading during lockdown. I tend to find myself doing that too when planning an upcoming round. I call it pre-loading... Which is why my starting weight for this round was up from my LIW of my last round...

    Happy Groundhog Day!

6 more weeks of Winter! I guess we need it... hoping it will help keep the wildfire risk down around here. Looks like maybe we need to top off the propane tank... Oh well.

Well, for me groundhog day for sure. Up 0.3 this morning. Grrrr... It certainly is a bumpy ride. I've been POP, so I know it isn't something I did wrong, just normal fluctuations.

    Have a great Tuesday all!

Ground hog day here too! Except I'm the same on the scale and there's no Bill Murray in sight...

Ground hog day! Ha ha. I feel like I am in that movie with everything feeling the same!

All that snow we had well, yesterday it rained. Now as itís mild itís melting but itís making things a combination of slush and ice! At least no shoveling.

Tomorrow off the drops. Will see what I weigh in tomorrow. 150 today. I wanted 145. Lol. I am leaning towards a planned interruption. Go back until I hit 145. Maintain for the 6 weeks. I feel if I am at 145 I can be a bit more patient at that weight. 150 for me I wonít be happy with it and I will want to rush things to do another round. Next round I can get to the 130ís, where ever that lands I am going to be happy with. Beats being almost 170!
