    Hi there!!
Day 8 P2 and I’m down 8.2 lbs. been experimenting. I had a question about “ I can’t believe it’s not butter” can we use it? There just soy oil in it. But so does coconut oil. So…. Has anyone tried it?

    Great result so far, Kellively!

In the original protocol, it would not be permitted. HCG 2.0 does allow some fat, but only a small amount MCT oil, I believe.

As a general guideline, soy products would be detrimental to the HCG diet because soy is a hormone disrupter, and this is a hormone protocol.

Regarding "I can’t believe it’s not butter”: You can not use it at all in P2.

In P3, you could use it: but real butter is far superior. It is better to avoid all processed foods and especially seed oils like soybean oil.

Wanted to give this thread a bump so it shows on the new posts searches.

Tomorrow, Feb 1 will be my last injection day, and then I'm heading into P3 on Sunday. Very glad to be finishing. I still have one more chance to drop a bit tomorrow, but even if nothing happens, I'm clocking at .5 a day, so a good result for me.

It happened. Down another pound today. So ending my 25 day round with a 14 pound loss. Onward to P3.

Slight glitch in the transition plan. I am highly sensitive to leaf mold, and there must have been some blowing around yesterday, because today I have a full-on reaction, which for me is flu-like. Nausea, weakness, pounding headache and muscle aches. Needless to say, there was no eating to be done. Just now at end of afternoon feeling like I should eat something, so having one of my FinnCrisp crackers and some lemon ginger tea. If that stays down, I may try a poached egg later. Or maybe not. I know it would help to nebulize some iodine, just can't be up and walking around long enough to get it together. I have a salt pipe somewhere, but again, hunting for it is too overwhelming right now. I know this will pass, but right now...it's a bear.

Last transition day. P3 starts tomorrow. Right now, I have a 2 pound cushion going in, so that always makes it more peaceful, as my first week of P3 tends to be volatile. Although, a lot of other things were different this round. Maybe that will be too.

Recovering from the mold attack and have an air purifier coming later today. These attacks are so severe. I don't expect it will prevent further attacks, but may mitigate them some when they do happen.

That sounds awful and intense, Leez! So sorry. You must not live in the PNW!

Yes, pretty awful. The air purifier has helped, but I'm still dealing with the end of the attack, and maybe a cold piled onto that. I'm in the midwest, so no help from mountain air here.

P3 going well. I'm a week in, and no longer have my cushion, but hovering right at LIW which is great.

This fall, after my move to Utah, I developed a persistent case of allergic conjunctivitis. I finally went to an eye doctor and got steroid drops. He advised me to stop taking oral antihistamine and only use the fluticasone nasal spray. That combination cleared up my eyes. Adding a HEPA filter has kept my eyes healthy during inversions and trapped particulates, TG.

Hi ... Leez, need reminder please. Did we ever take vitamins while on hcg? I know we did potassium and magnesium, but I don't remember the vitamin answer. Also, I saw MCT oil mentioned ... is that acceptable? Thanks! Great going everyone! I am returning for a round after several years. Best to all

    Hi silverwind, welcome back.

You don't need to take vitamins or other supplements while on HCG. (Dr. Simeons even took his patients off their medications.) Potassium is helpful to keep electrolytes balanced, and magnesium keeps your elimination moving...both very important, so if those are issues, keep those handy. However, lots of people get through without anything. MCT oil is not part of the original protocol, although you may be allowed some on the HCG 2.0 plan. Not sure what the exact amount is, I've seen recommendations from 1 tsp/day to 2 T./day.
