    Started vlcd #1

Well, I am almost done with vlcd #1 and kind of hungry. I am still sick. I thought I would be over it by now, so I went ahead and loaded and now it looks as if my first few days I will struggle with this sickness. I had to drag myself to the store for a few things for this diet and I wound up getting some wrong items. Its weird how after a year, you forget exactly what you can and can't use. I purchased some fairly expensive face cream and other stuff that I am not supposed to use and I already threw away the receipt. And I am not digging through the trash. I also remembered that my night sweats dissapear (perimenopause) with the injections- woo hoo. Hopefully tomorrow I will be feeling stronger because it's tough to do this when you're sick (or even when you're not sick). It does get easier a week or so in to the low cal days when your body gets used to it.

This round will be challenging for me because this time I have to work in the resturaunt my husband opened last year and handle frying food and greasy meat. Even with gloves on, it's really hard to keep it off your skin. Plus some of the food looks and tastes really good so I will have to be really strong. I will just keep repeating " I can do anything for 30 days". plus after doing 3 successfull rounds, I would feel like a total idiot if I failed now.

    good luck to everyone.

This is silly, but I didn't start loading today as I planned! I stayed up too late watching movies and slept until past noon today and literally FORGOT about it and I don't have my hCG mixed- I will be mixing it momentarily and will be ready for tomorrow; I want to start off on the right foot by injecting at the same each morning around 7am.

    A-
I again didn't start today! I realized that oversleeping and forgetting yesterday turned out rather serendipitous. I will start loading Friday (I do 3 days of loading as per Robin Phipps Woodall, author of Weight Loss Apocalypse ) so my first day of VLCD, Monday, will coincide with the end of my online studies with American College of Healthcare Sciences. I am so excited to be finishing a long journey and starting a new one (albeit my sixth round!) within the same day!

    Tallyho!
DISCLAIMER: I mostly follow Dr. Simeons protocol however, I may talk about things that are not advised in his book Pounds and Inches. Those things or items have neutral affect on me personally and do not effect my weight loss in an unfavorable way, however. I will attempt to note when something I mention is "off protocol".

I was going to suggest evening injections instead of morning but it sounds like you have it covered already. Congrats on finishing your studies!!

Hi, I'm new to this group. I am on VLCD 3 of my fourth round.

alouise26: You mentioned Robin Phipps Woodall's book "Weight Loss Apocalypse"--that book has helped me so much in getting into the proper mindset not just for this round, but for life. I have really connected with the way she describes HCG as hormone therapy instead of a "diet". A lot of those principles can be carried forward into P4 and beyond in treating food as a type of fuel. It sounds so obvious as I type it, but the way she explains the science behind it, it really puts into words some missing pieces.

    Good luck to all!

Yes, Robin is AWESOME! She is currently working on a followup to Weight Loss Apocalypse that is more oriented around the emotion aspects of disordered eating. It should be pretty good!

    Hi Everyone,
today is vlcd 1 of my 2nd "real" round. i lost 26 lbs in 30 days on my first round but gained every pound back. i did not do a P3 and just went back to eating regularly. so i gained 5 here, 10 there, you know the drill. i started hcg a few times but last 4-5 days max. i am at my limit now and am 100% committed to this. 38 lbs in 42 days...hmmm....might be asking a bit much but why not aim high! sharing recipes is a must...

a recipe idea for your sweet tooth - apple chips. slice an apple or 2 thin and lay on parchment paper. cook at 200 degrees for 2 hours and you have potato chips! crunchy treat- add cinnamon if you like. so good.

has anyone tried the miracle noodles? i have seen mixed reviews about the weight loss effect. good luck everyone

    Hi PBGirl,

Quick question for you with regards to the hot cocoa.....where did you find the cocoa to use, that can be used during Ph2? I am having trouble with the seasonings (i.e. fajita seasoning that doesn't contain, sugar/cornstarch etc). I found some nacho cheese and butter seasoning (in the popcorn aisle) but, the nacho cheese contains soy(and other ingredients) and the butter has ingredients that contain milk and whey. Am I getting into the weeds looking into the seasonings this much. I know your not supposed to have anything with sugar and starch but, when I see 'soy' 'corn starch' and all the other ingredients one can barely pronounce just not sure.

Thanks for your help! BTW - how did you get your hubby to agree. My fiancee just didn't think he could do it so, he is on paleo and the insanity program.

Today is VLCD2 and I'm down -3.1 lbs. Almost all my loading weight is gone. So far my dose is right on. I only have slight hunger right before mealtime and I'm satisfied. I'm also a fan of WLA and have watched a lot of Robin's videos. I'd love to get to the point where I don't weigh daily, but feel that's a long way off for me. Unfortunately I feel like I'm coming down with something. I have a scratchy throat and mild cough. I bought some vitamin C and Zicam, which isn't exactly POP, but I think it's more important that I try to keep this from getting worse. It could just be allergies (Cedar fever is really bad where I live), but I'm not going to risk it, especially with the flu going around.

Hope the rest of you saw some whooshes and have a POP day!
