I'm planning already, loading New Year's Eve & Day. My bff's birthday is the 30th, so I can't start until after that! She would kill me if I couldn't go out to dinner with her and share a bottle of wine! Planning on a short 21 day round bc we go on vacation in February and I want to try and stabilize before we go! This will be my 3rd round; I'd love to loose another 20# before our vacation!

I'll be loading the 2nd week of January. Looking forward to another round. And I'm tucking away a few of my favorite holiday treats so I can have them when I load. It's actually great, because I'm not really that tempted now since I know I can treat myself for a couple days, just a couple weeks after everyone else.

Hello everyone. I am a newbie who will be starting HCG injections in Jan 2014. I plan to load on Dec 31 and Jan 1st. I am spending the next few weeks researching and learning about this diet so that I make minimal mistakes.
I always recommend loading for 3 days. It will help you to be successful and have an easier time throughout your whole round. I think of any form of hcg loading for 3 days is very important. If you read Pounds and Inches Dr. Simeons explains why loading is so important.
I would not load for 3 days. Dr S only recommends 2 days, to get enough fat to last you while the hcg starts to get your body to release fat. He says it takes 2 days. I always feel so full at the end of the second day, anyway, and ready to start P2. This round I only gained 2 lbs of load weight, and I had no hunger during the round. You do not have to eat high fat foods. It is supposed to be *the most fattening foods*, and Dr S includes pastries as an example. WHen I load, I eat cookies, candy, cake, ice cream, plus the normal burgers or fettuccini alfredo, full breakfasts, kettlecorn. Whatever I think I will miss, or whatever I have felt deprived of. HTH
You don't get lightheaded or feel sick during the first week of the diet after eating all that? I guess I am becoming apprehensive for nothing. I've done Atkins in the past and the withdrawal from carbs really affect me. But I just finished reading Pounds and Inches and he does say to eat fattening foods...he did not specify avoidance of carbs at this stage.
I don't think it is carb withdrawal, I think it is withdrawal from all the artificial chemicals in the foods (artificial color, artificial flavor, BHA, BHT, TBHQ, etc). It can make people have extreme withdrawal/anger/joint pain/headache, etc. I do not get the headaches and feeling low, because I eat a clean diet. I don't eat any of those artificial additives. I eat grass fed meats, organic fruits and veggies, etc. Organic coconut oil. So I don't think I have anything to detox.![]()
