Hey everyone. I weighed in at 152.4 this morning, which is only a .4 loss for yesterday, but it's ok because I'm having apocalyptic inflammation and cramps from first day of my period. Oh my goodness. I have to say they're not nearly this bad when I'm off HCG.

So I'm physically disinterested in food, but I definitely dreamt about decorating cupcakes. Um. Ok. (I don't usually bake or anything.)

And that's it. I just work and try not to overdo the coffee. Cheers everyone.

So - my load days were January 1st and 2nd and VLCD1 was January 3rd. When I woke up on the morning of Load day 2 I had gained one pound. When I woke up on the morning of VLCD1 I had lost .2 of that pound and was only .8 over my original weight. Today I am down 9.2 pounds from my original weight! I'm so excited that this is something I can actually stick to. I have had to say no several times to peanut butter, popcorn, lasagna, breadsticks etc .... But I was able to do it! Today I had to say no to donuts - which is one of my absolute favorites! I have allowed myself to add a few small things to my plan that I think have made it more livable for me. Salsa, laughing cow cheese and an occasional premiere protein shake when I am on the go and really need to "eat" something. I am always busy and on the go -- so I figured I needed to make this work for me. I don't always eat both fruits -- and I have never done the grassini (sp?) sticks. TOM came yesterday morning - I still injected yesterday - but today I skipped since it was one of my 'heavier' days. I was happy that I still had a loss of .4 this morning!
Just thought I would share my experience so far!

It's an observation of mine that we talk of saying "no" to food versus saying "yes" to letting our body heal. I like to think every offer of the miscellaneous "extra food" that bombards me everywhere is just counter-offered by me thinking "No my body needs rest right now and high sugar, carb, fat things will stop it from resting. I need to protect it." This small swap of how I think of things kind of puts me in a nurturing-mode versus one of deprivation, and it helps me.

That being said if you think all of that was just positive-thinking jumbo jumbo then feel free to laugh me off!

Your losses are awesome. Welcome to the forum (you're newer right?). January 2017 Loaders - Resolved and Ready

    Hi everyone
I guess I'm always the last to check in since I'm in the US timezone that's all the way out west LOL

    That's funny
I've had dreams about chocolate before.

Right now, I'm just trying to not think about anything that could throw me off track.
My mother who lives abroad sent me a care package for Christmas. She mailed it November 17th, so I thought I'd be able to enjoy the goodies before my round and then start without any distractions. Well, thanks to the good old postal systems in two countries, the package arrived January 5. AFTER I had started. So I just unpacked as fast as I could, was tempted for a couple of minutes, but then put everything in plastic bags, tied a big knot on top and threw them in the back of the pantry. I do hate that temptation is lingering right there.....but I just try not to think about it.

Lost a lot of weight 2011-2013, then completely fell off the wagon.
Back now, with an awfully high starting weight :-(

I sometimes eat chicken twice. I try not to, but......Tilapia i need to be in the mood for and beef is just too dense and slows my insides down. I use one pack of stevia in both my coffee and tea. I don't like other sweetners, it's the only one that doesn't taste super strange to me. Did you put that cabbage in soup? Mac
On My Fitness Pal it says 2 oz is 120 calories and 20 carbs for cooked cabbage. I made a chicken stir fry with mustard, garlic and spices.

I type in "usda" after my produce when inputting into MyFitnessPal.

Can't remember who it was but someone mentioned fennel earlier in the thread (can't find it and don't feel like reading 28 pages again )

Anyway...how do you cook your fennel? The recipes I'm finding call for it to be tossed in olive oil and bake which I know is a no no. Thanks!

WOW. What a day. On the go all day long. I had prepared my meals ahead of time so I stayed on protocol. I was so busy that I didn't have time to think about food. I've gone 10 days VLCD and not cheated. Tomorrow will be a slow day. We'll see what challenges that brings. I have enjoyed catching up on posts since I got home. Thank you for sharing. It really inspires and helps me stay focused. I'm going to bed. I'm tired. Good night and good luck tomorrow everyone. Twabell

Hang in there all. In less than a month a lot of use can eat bacon again
    You said BACON!
I'm going to try not weighing for a few days.

Nerrie, you are doing terrific! Keep it going.

Lulu, I'd use Stevia drops if it helped me.

Lemon, I love the image of my body resting. Thank you.

Denali, I'm out west as well. Those goodies will be waiting if you want them in a few months. What country is your mom in?

I put veggies in MFP from the USDA chart. People have entered recipes so things are skewed. I'm going to try cabbage in a few days stir fried with chicken.

Hi TWA. Good job on 10 days.

I'm finishing Day 2. I made wild Alaskan Cod with mushrooms and a bit of lemon for dinner. I just want to say, I'm a crappy cook. Yuck. Hardly worth eating. Oh well.

    Evening Ladies,
Just checking in! I'm currently on Day 3/VLCD 1, and feeling pretty good. Just had my lunch...lunch time for me anyway! Good to see everyone staying positive. Curious to know how I'll feel and what I'll weigh this time next week. Guess there's only one way to find out!

She's in Germany. Apparently she should have mailed the package right after Easter, so we could have had it for Christmas LOL
