I sure wish I could experience a "whoosh" like y'all talk about! I'm slower than molasses when losing but it's to be expected when hypothyroid nearly my whole life. I turn green with envy when somebody gets a whoosh. Somebody send me one!

I was active in this forum back in 2013, doing injections. Doing drops this time. Anyone else loading this weekend?
Do you feel physically bad from anything? If not I'd go for it.

We all love those visits from the whoosh fairy.

lauriem: If you decide to go ahead, it will be helpful to you to take a good probiotic during your round to counteract the effects of the antibiotic. (just don't take them at the same time). I like the soil-based probiotics. You can get an inexpensive good one from SwansonVitamins.

Morning all! Yes, I was up before the chickens at 4 am. UGH. But, my little plateau is over. Down a full pound this morning. I'm not sure it was a plateau or just the fact that I ate beef twice at night (monday and thursday). Beef......slows me down in the bathroom department and I was a bit constipated all week. (sorry...TMI). But, I seemed to NEED that beef so I guess it all works out in the end if you stay OP. (i've only had a few cheats because I've got a major aversion to almost everything except fruit right now). And, I have 1/2 grapefruit for breakfast and only one other serving.....usually apples or strawberries. Salads seem ok too so i'm mixing apples and celery with tuna and chicken. (my clinic ok's all white tuna in water). I've been mixing chicken with some nutmeg, cinnamon, celery and apple for a crunchy chicken salad. I made crab balls in a mini muffin pan last night. (crab, spice, ACV, lemon juice). It was ok.

I have that stupid continuing education course today and tomorrow. (I'm a physical therapist and must get hours to keep my license every 2 years). I've got my water packed along with strawberries and cucumbers. I have a small container of MY salad dressing for lunch. I'm tossing in a no fat yogurt in case things get ugly with the stomach growling! Hot tea sometimes helps and I love the ginger/lemon that someone suggested last week. Got that packed too. HA.....I"m embarrassed to haul all this in!!!!!!!

I know lots of us are starting week 3 about now. VLCD #14 for me. We have great momentum going into week 3 with some great and hopeful attitudes. You guys HELP me so keep the positive thoughts/encouragement streaming!!! I'm 11.4 lb. down and really want to lose at least 6 lbs. more. I know its doable.......but I certainly have to finish strong and well. WE ALL NEED TO FINISH THIS STRONG!! This **** ain't easy so I keep telling myself.......don't waste one single day due to weaknesses. So, I wish everyone a STRONG AND INTENTIONAL weekend!!!!! KMac

Good Luck this weekend, KMac, you can do it. I think the key is that you are prepared with your foods. Congratulations on your weight loss, 11.4 is great! I used to have to attend a lot of conferences before I retired a few years ago, and the temptation was ridiculous, but then again, I never prepared. Tea helps me so much, I make a homemade ginger and lemon on the stove and it lasts for about three days. When I get a bit hungry, I drink tea. This is my first round of Hcg, vlcd and 11 and down 9 pounds from my before loading weight. I feel like I am being dishonest saying from my loading weight because that was so intentional. Thanks for the motivation! Yes, FINISH STRONG. Even though I have 35 days to go.

Welcome lauriem, I started when I was sick BIG mistake but I'd say it depends on how you feel. Good luck.

Kaye besides the beginning I never experience whoosh haha. I guess I did when I was heavier but the closer I get to my goal the slower I lose. I'm also a chronic experimenter. I love to test the waters with the foods I eat so if I do another round I can add those foods knowing I still lose. I'm okay losing slower due to the experimenting because in the end I still lose.

@kmac you're doing great and so close to goal good for you!

AFM: Yesterday I had 6oz protein shake in the A.m., had my apple for morning snack, steak and asparagus for lunch, orange for midafternoon snack. When I got home I had chicken nuggets and salad. I ate about an ounce of pecans, I added a tablespoon of normal ranch dressing and sprinkle of cheese to my salad for dinner. I didn't work out even though I planned on it. My losses are the norm for me at this point of the round. Tomorrow I'll be one day shy of half way through. If I lose like every other round which ends up being a half pound a day. I should be at 110 by 1/31, we shall see.

We are supposed to meet up with friends for dinner tonight so my plan is to have some sort of chicken ceasar salad or maybe a steak with salad. Wish me luck.

Happy Saturday! Does anyone else have Monday off? I sure love 3 day weekends.

I said this week was pretty easy and then I hit a wall yesterday. All I could think about was food food food food food. It was a hard day but I made it through it. Today I'm crabby. I get moody on hcg. I can barely stand myself.

Today was weigh in day and I was down 1.8 today!!! It's exactly the amount I was hoping for after going a few days between weigh ins. So, day 12 and down 10.9. Woo hoo! My next weigh in is Tuesday and I have my fingers crossed for at least 1.5 lbs.

Tonight is girls night out. Wish me luck!
