January 2018 Loaders - Taking Control

Hi all who are planning an HCG round in January. This thread is for you!

January is traditionally a time of looking to the new year with hope and plans for improvements and success. HCG weightloss success is nearly guaranteed if you follow the protocol, so you are on your way!

Joining with others going through the same experience is so helpful. You can mutually encourage one another, have a place of accountability, and find answers to questions as they come up.

I'll be checking this thread to help with any questions or concerns, but the best support comes from your round buddies, so I hope everyone will feel welcome to post your challenges, successes and wisdom.

Anyone planning to include New Year's Eve celebrations in your loading days? That's one good way to start!

    Question

    Hi Leez,
Iím excited to start my round this January. Iíve ordered through Diet Doc and expecting delivery this Friday. Iíve done 2 rounds with success 5-6 years ago, but 2 pregnancies and becoming a stay at home mom brought the pounds back. Iíve been ready to get back in shape for a while, but I had been breastfeeding until few weeks ago.
I have a question for you about the round durations:
I ordered 60 day program from Diet Doc, assuming I would do 2 rounds. On the phone they told me I can do 60 days straight. As far as I know, rounds shouldnít exceed 40 days (a little longer if I skip a shot per week) They told me thatís the old protocol, now I can go until I reach my goal weight. What are your thoughts on this? Iím very inclined to end my round when the first vial (5000iu) is used up, take a 6 weeks break (P3 & P4) and start a 2nd round with my second vial. Nowhere in this forum have I read a 60 day round

There are some that have done very long rounds on homeopathic hcg (since hhcg cannot produce immunity), but it is not recommended. The maximum amount of dose days for HCG injections is 40. That includes your 2 loading days. You are correct that your actually low calorie days can be more than that, because of skip days. So you count injections, not days.

The waiting time between rounds is important and a critical part of the protocol if you need more than one round to get to your goal weight. I posted some thoughts about this in my blog: https://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforum...-rounds-21433/

I think your plan to use your two vials for two rounds is a good one. Since its been so long since you used HCG, you can certainly consider it rounds 1 & 2, and the 6 week break between is sufficient.

The program DietDoc prescribes leans more toward the HCG 2.0 method, so their instructions are not going to follow the original protocol. They will prescribe more calories, and vary from the protocol menu items. Carbs are restricted in order to get you into ketosis. Also, they may prescribe a higher dose than we normally see success with. A good starting dose is 150iu or even 125iu.

Ketosis is not necessary for success with HCG. I've not ever been in ketosis during P2, and don't want to be. (Because it makes me feel awful.) When I did my round with DietDoc, I opted to follow the original protocol instead of theirs. The nutritionist was very supportive of that decision, so I was rather impressed with their flexibility.

Ok thanks, I will feel better disregarding their advice and doing 2 separate rounds.

Back to more fun stuff. I have a feeling I will have lots of loading buddies, thanks to new year's resolutions. It's a great time to start, we will have lots of time to be our best, come spring and summer.

Being a stay-at-home mom, I don't encounter as many people as working people do per day. Still, I've always been a strong believer that one's ideal weight is the weight he/she feels the best about his/her looks, not the weight that others or charts say one should be.

My original plan was to load on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Once I made a mental list of loading foods I want (double cheese pizza, baked potatoes loaded to the max, mixed nuts, ice cream etc) I've decided not to do it in front of all my relatives. I'm hosting a huge get together this Saturday, most of them staying at ours till Christmas evening. I don't want to explain to that many people why I'm eating so many unhealthy stuff at once, while they're politely biting on their grilled proteins Once they leave, I can load as I please, just my immediate family around.

I look forward to hear from other January loaders here at this thread. Lots of love!

My order has arrived and I’m kinda heartbroken. Both hcg vials’ “beyond use date” are March 13th. It would be okay if I wanted to do 60 days straight, but I wanted to do a round in Jan, and another later, with at least a 6 week break. Now I have to choose between refusing the vials, and doing what diet doc says (not taking a break)

I don’t even know who to call first, the pharmacy, the inbetween company (perfect health tec) or the diet doc customer service. With Christmas around the corner, I will probably miss the 7 day return window too. I may quit the fight and do a 60 day round against my wishes.

PS: I’ve searched it already. Beyond use date is not the latest I can mix it, it’s the day I should literally discard the vial, mixed or not. How disappointing

I hope this information can bring you some peace.

California laws are more stringent on expiration and beyond use dates. Ridiculously stringent. In fact, when I did my round with them, they were sending the vials in separate shipments weeks apart because of some weird California law that has since been amended.

The truth is that your unmixed HCG is going to be good for at least a year, and probably longer. That was confirmed to me by DietDoc. So you are fine to follow your plan. And, even if it does start to degrade, DietDoc requires their compounding pharmacies to certify over 100% potency. Which means that its still going to be at close to 100% even way down the road. Don't be afraid to use it for your second round. You'll be fine. Just store the unused vial in a cool dark place until you are ready to mix it.

Hi everyone! I am back this January after doing my two very first rounds last January and April. I lost a total of 30 pounds during those rounds and really could stand to lost 20 more pounds. I did injections last year and am doing pellets in January, did the original protocol and now going to do 2.0. I just got the book and need to read it quickly. Leez, I read that you felt awful while in ketosis, could you give me a little insight as to what symptoms you had?

I wanted to load on January 1 and 2 but my boyfriend’s daughter is coming in from Paris and staying with us, she isn’t leaving until the 6th so I will load on the 4th and 5th. Doing a shorter, 28 day round because I a going to Florida for the month of February with my elderly mother and need to be in Phase 3 for that. My realistic hope is that I can lose 15 pounds during those 28 days.

I love the support and knowledge that this forum gave me last year and can’t wait to communicate with everyone! I have been lurking for the last month or so and want to say a big Hello to all the Lovlies!!!

Hi Lulu, I wish you all the best on round 3! It sounds like you have a workable plan, and your expectation is realistic.

We are all different, and there are those that do well with HCG 2.0 carb restrictions. Some people feel great and energized when in ketosis. My body experiences distress the whole time. What happens is that I become an insomniac, have frequent bouts of nausea and lightheadedness and a constant feeling of anxiousness. My breath is putrid no matter how much water I drink. I get a buzzing in my ears, and periodic heart pounding episodes. I eventually get to the point where the protein gags me, and I would then just continue on water only until I couldn't stand it anymore. It's hard for me, looking back, to believe I had the strength to put myself through this hell multiple times.

People talk about a few initial days of bad feeling as the "keto flu" where you are supposedly detoxing, but I had those symptoms no matter how long I would stay in ketosis (usually 3 or more weeks). I foolishly kept trying it, thinking that I must be doing something wrong and I would eventually "break through", because it was supposed to work for everybody. I did lose weight, but I know now that my body was desperately trying to tell me that ketosis was wrong for me. And I would have massive rebound gain no matter how careful I was afterwards. And yet, I kept trying for way too long.

I feel wonderful during P2 eating my 2 fruits and melbas. I have been in awe every round that I can lose weight and feel good at the same time. I would never attempt 2.0 or any other plan that could put me back in that awful state.

    Oh Leez, that sounds terrible!

I lived a low carb life style for a number of years, even losing weight on the Atkins diet at one point, but I do think it did nothing for the health of my under active thyroid. I am going to give the 2.0 a whirl, but will go back to OP if I experience those symptoms.

I am 8 pounds over LIW and am not happy about that. I just started the creep of about 5 pounds 6 weeks ago when my doctor changed my thyroid medication to a lower dose because I requested to add a T3 med to the levothyroxine. Yesterday she increased it again because my thyroid hormone got really low. I am hoping that had something to do with the weight gain because I really haven’t’t veered off the THM eating plan too much. I have used it to keep my weight stable and really like the lifestyle. I have both cookbooks and all the products (so many). I am so glad I have rid my body of sugar and white flour products, although I do miss some of the bad things I used to eat.

    Merry Christmas everyone!!

Hi Lulu, welcome on board. It’s good to have a loading buddy who’s done it before and maintained well.

As you can read above, I’m also waiting for my guests to leave to start my round. Yesterday I hosted an all-family Christmas get together. Some of them are leaving today, and a few of them will leave Christmas evening. Lots of photos were taken last night of course. Hopefully after my 2 rounds, they will be my “before” photos lol.

Leez, that sounds awful! No wonder you are so negative about low carb!

However - your experience does not sound typical. Not. At. All.

I am type II diabetic, so low carb is my way of life. When I over-do carbs and then get back to eating right, I sometimes get headaches that persist for 2 or 3 days; I get light - headed and dizzy; and dry mouth. That's it. And most of these are relieved very quickly when I have some salty broth or bouillon.
