    January 2019 Loaders - Hope & Change

Welcome to the January 2019 Loaders group. This thread welcomes anyone starting an HCG round, and input and encouragement from veterans of the protocol.

Hope & Change is our motto this month. January is the month for hopefulness for a better brighter upcoming year, and that hope usually involve changing something that will help make your life better along the way.

January is also a good time to move on from the holiday season of indulging to a more disciplined daily routine. HCG is great for setting up a framework for healthy eating for the rest of the year. So all system are go and ready to help you achieve your goals. A simple decision that can lead to lifelong benefit. I'm excited for all of you!

I'll be popping in to address questions or concerns, but your best support will always come from others going through this with you. Encourage, commiserate, rant, share hugs & prayers...whatever you need to get you through. We are all here for each other.

We welcome those doing any of the program variations, but please note that any input I offer will be based on the original protocol. My best tip to all of you is to read the orginal manuscript, and then re-read it as you go through your very low calorie phase. It is so calming to realize this medical prescription is going to work. Reading the manuscript reinforces that.

All the best in your preparations and follow through!

Hello? Anyone set for a January p2? I did hcg before with great success, but these boards look much less active since then.

    Leez,
I'm ALL in.........just finished the second day of loading and sooooo glad to be done with that. this is my 5th round; last was August 2017. what has changed?? well, let me tell you, when I started hcg back in 2015, I thought the loading days were fantastic. this time, I can hardly eat what i need to eat to be a good start to the upcoming protocol. I just have no appetite for the fats, carbs. So, this mindset made it really hard to load. Curious to see and hope I loaded well enough to get this round started strong.

Very,no VERY excited for this round.

Bring on 2019 and hoping for a 15 pound loss! Let's get rockin' folks!

I noticed the same thing in my later rounds. My eating style had changed so much by that point, that I really had no interest in naughty foods (I mean why would I want to eat something that I know is going to make me feel gross), and loading became a chore. I tried to enjoy as much as possible, of course, but for me, I lose all appetite an hour or two after the first injection, and that makes it hard to keep eating. But as long as you ate some fat every time you had some room, I'm sure your load will be sufficient.

I always love the weighin after the first low calorie day. I've had some that were huge losses after that first day. Hoping you get a good one.

Well, up 4 pounds and I must not have done too bad since Thanskgiving, because I maintained my 178 for the holiday month of a cheat every now and then. What my thoughts are now: hopefully, I can drop 15 pounds and get to maintenance around 163-165. I know this will take a good while, like I'll know in 5 months if I'm maintaining. I'm ready for my very lean burger and lettuce at noon! I seriously could eat P2 foods daily and not feel ilke I'm giving something up.

I have noticed I got a hot flash immediately after taking my first drops. I do take bioidentical hormones. I don't think I was on them in August of '17. So, I need some thoughts on if this hcg will interrupt them. I was doing great with hormones as well, just not with anxiety (due to hashimoto I'm narrowing it down to). Wonder if I should stop the bio hormones during the round? do you have any experience with this, Leez? I know Grammy mentioned something about this so I'll go look for that post. thanks and happy day to you!

Most people continue to take them during P2. I believe Grammy didn't stop hers because they were important for controlling her migraines. She said she would take any slower losses as a result rather than deal with that.

I've done it both ways. I didn't notice any difference in how the rounds proceeded. But then, the hormones weren't really helping me much, so maybe that is a factor.

    Morning Leez,

Woke to only a .8 loss after two days loading and on day VLCD. I'm used to abou 2.5-3#drop on the first day after VLCD. What do you think of this? I'm wondering if it is because I maintain so well that my body is confused and hasn't changed over to burning the deep fat for fuel?? thoughts?

Welcome, 2019! I love this board especially during he first few days of a new round. I appreciate the support and knowledge I gain learning how to increase eating habits that work best for our body. Cheers to a New Year!

    Ok I received my medication.

Iím 180 pounds (baby). I think when I did hcg at 155 pounds I was at a dose of 125. Should I increase?

I didnít think my hcg would arrive so quick so I might actually start P2 Jan 1 or 2!

lemon: I'm on VLCD2 of R5. I'm doing a short round 23-25 days. Having a headache today, forgot those come at the beginning. Have NO appetite at all and nothing sounds good to eat. However, food does not interest me lately. Weird, I know. I dropped .8 from the 2 days loading and first day of VLC. I thought Iwould see more loss today. Maybe tomorrow. i will focus on drinking the water!! Here's to a great round!!

    ATK,

Have something salty. The VLCD is inherently a big cut to the carbs you normally eat; and the body sheds salt on a low carb diet. Have a cup of salty broth or bouillon, a couple of times a day. This will also help avoid headaches, dizziness and constipation, symptoms of low electrolytes. (Also known as "Keto flu")
