Welcome Everyone
I wasn't going to start until next week as I have a movie date with my daughter, but I could't wait to get losing
Day 2 of loading for me.
Good luck to you all
Welcome T1ghtwad~
Do you remember how good you felt after about 7 days on HCG? I just want to see if you can remember this feeling! I am on day 7 and I woke up feeling refreshed and energized. I won't lie, the first 6 days were a challenge to get my mindset in place. I hope you see some great losses the first couple of days to get you in the game!
My losses have been slow this R5. My last round was August 2017 so I don't know why the losses are slow. Today I will drink more water, thought I did yesterday, but still only a .4 loss for this m orning. Hay, I'll take it!
Today it is one meal of fish for me!
Cheers to losing today!

Herzing..............glad you're with us; VLCD10 for me and using hHcg drops. I need to get to sleep so I can see some losses in the morning! More tomorrow
Well P2D2 and I'm up .5# ugh. I think my salt intake was too high yesterday. But def not how I wanted to start. I'm drinking lots of water! I used 1tsp liquid aminos yesterday, which I've never done in prior rounds. Hoping it is just an anomaly gain. I'm using new drops this time, Triump brand (the one with the HCG) . Anyone else try that brand? Likes or dislikes?
Hi herzing,
It's just as likely your body is hanging onto fluids because you didn't get enough salt. When eating low carb, like the P2 VLCD, the body sheds salt and you need to get more to avoid headaches, dizziness and constipation. I have a cup of bouillon or salty broth a couple of times a day during P2.
I used Triumph drops during my last round, and found them just as effective as injections. Just less convenient to have to remember to take them on schedule.

Sorry no experience with drops here.
VLCD 7 and my first skip day. People still do that right? I joined a hcg Facebook group and wow, soooo many different things people are doing out there.

Yes, you skip a day a week if doing the long round. If doing the 23-30 injection round, you do not need to skip once a week. I usually skip even on short rounds, so that I have the option to continue on if I decide to go longer.
@herzing: try switching to pink salt, sea salt or mineral salt. That provides needed minerals and keeps your electrolytes steady. It generally will not produce the water retention that can be caused by table salt.

Hi everyone!
Should I take a potassium supplement during p2 while on the original protocol?

Hi Lemon,
Are you having symptoms that concern you?
P2 VLCD is inherently a big cut in carbs, and the body sheds salt (sodium) when eating low carb. I suggest you supplement salt, have salty broth or bouillon once or twice every day. That avoids low electrolytes, which can cause headaches, dizziness, fainting and constipation.

gz9gjg Yes, I think my body is adjusting. P2D6 down 5.2 It's slower than the previous rounds, but I am also older lol. I'm good with that. I am still pretty hungry. Last round I found myself going almost days with not wanting to eat anything. Did you find yourself still hungry with Triumph? Did you adjust the drops size at all? Do you remember what times you took them? I think I may be eating too late maybe? I go all AM with nothing and eat lunch around 1pm. I'm also finding that I am averaging 300-350 cals by following the strict protocol (no melba though). Should I increase my veggies?? I just don't want to take in too many carbs!
LemonStevia, I know what you mean about these FB groups. I can't imagine not following protocol to the T...but folks are eating coconut oil, cottage cheese like it's going out of style, and all these extra foods. I would be a nervous wreck!
