    Hi herzing,

I eat ketogenic diet to control / reverse Type 2 diabetes. During P2, I was doing 3.0 (keto hcg variation).

I always had breakfast about 6 am - 1 whole egg + 2 whites, scrambled; then after 15 minutes, took my morning drops. I put daily reminders on my phone's calendar so that I took my drops on schedule. I didn't adjust my drops dosage. I was not more or less hungry than usual. I typically had a cup of bouillon with lunch.

    Hi Lemon,

I don't have any idea what would cause palpitations. Maybe talk to your doctor?

Hi Lemon - On my first round with RX pellets, I had some slight heart palpitations too. I am on meds for hypothyroid and I think this diet helps the thyroid enough to the point that my pills needed adjusting (I'm on a pretty high dose). I started skipping my thyroid pill one day a week and that seemed to take care of the palpitations. After I finished out my round and waited 6 weeks, I had my thyroid tested again and the doctor lowered my dose. I haven't experienced palpitations since.

    Are you on thyroid meds?

    Hey thanks Lou,

No Iím not on any medication. I do have a long standing problem with getting enough salt so Iím going to assume it had something to do with that since it hasnít happened since then.

I need to make sure I replenish my adrenals in P3.

Yes, we all need to get enough salt as I think we've been brainwashed against it You might also want to get your thyroid checked after P4 since the heart flutter thing is one of the symptoms of being hyperthyroid - or it might just have been a temporary thing.

    Good luck in your round!

    Hi Ladies

Sure glad I started this a week ago. Instead of a movie yesterday, as the one I wanted to see wasn't at the theatre yet, we just shopped and visited all day. I had chicken and lettuce at the restaurant for lunch

I have had a flu since Christmas.

This round I am doing okay so far. Thank god I am not hungry, as in evenings the past week all I thought about was snacking, even though I was't hungry. Purely mindset, and I made it through. Now I am not thinking of it so much. The few nights I did , I would just have my apple or some strawberries with stevia

I use Himalayan Pink salt, plus other seasonings on my food, and take Potassium Citrate and magnesium. There was one morning I woke up that I felt like I was drunk lol, Wasn't sure if it was this flu I have had or not, so had an orange in the morning.
The next morning wasn't quite as bad, and now I am feeling okay

I am thinking it was this flu I have, but not really sure.

    Morning ladies,

I'm seriously thinking about starting my load tomorrow. It appears this would be my third year in a row to do a short round in January. That is a sad thought!!! I appears that I gain the same 10-15 lbs. each year!! I mean.......I don't diet and I'm fairly active........what gives?!! Clearly, I simply slowly stop eating "clean". I have had 3 rough years in a row. My parents live 4 hours away and they both have dementia and my son was finally diagnosed correctly with a fairly serious mental illness that will take many many months of recovery time. (if not years). So, I do have the stress excuse. My issue is that I feel somewhat GUILTY for this being my 3rd year in a row doing a round. I can't decide if I use the HCG as a crutch every year, OR.......if I'm just being smart with keeping the weight off. I'm about a size 8 now........which is all tummy fat. I've been a 4 all my life. So, I realize I'm not talking a huge amount of weight......but, if I allow myself to put on 10 lbs. a year for many years.......then I would be overweight and unhealthy. Has anyone every had this dilemma? I do see my NP for my 6 month bio-identical hormone check today. Last January, my cortisol levels were super high (STRESS) so, she gave me some meds to bring it down. We shall see what SHE says about me doing yet another January round. I mean.....surely it's healthy to keep weight off! Again, there is a tiny part of me feels like I'm abusing the HCG. Is once a year "clean up" ok. At some point.....regardless of stress.......I need to put myself first. My therapist told me this week that the situation i'm in. (being 100% responsible for my parents finances, healthcare, caregiver schedule etc......from 4 hours away), along with caring/supporting my son.......is honestly and impossible task. She basically said.......you really can't do this because it's an impossible task. She is making me take time out for myself and reminded me that I have to take care of myself because I can't take care of others if I'm not ok myself. I almost relish the 30 days of putting ME first and taking time out to plan meals for MYSELF etc.......so, that is my story. I recognize a few names on this thread already. So, clearly I'm not the only one coming back. Any opinions on the yearly re-boot? You won't hurt my feelings........I'm seriously curious about HCG abuse. LOL!!!!!!!! My gut says..........deep breath, it's a new year, stop, listen to my body.......get the unwanted weight off before I spiral into uncharted territory. Which would further stress my out and depress me. I know 10-15 lbs. doesn't sound like a lot. But, I've never weighed more that about 154lb......and I'm close to 150lb. now. I have a small frame at 5' 6" and I don't want to loss control. I need all the self esteem/self confidence I can get in the current situation I am in. (ps. I'm an only child with full/complete responsibility of my parents and I was an empty nester before my 22 y/o son was diagnosed with his mental illness). So.....BAM.......I'm totally back in a caregiver roll. (that i don't want to be IN!!!!). Also, I think I just need encouragement, and as you guys know........it's often tough to share the HCG journey with your friends. I have everyone has a great day!!!! And I appreciate your honest and thoughtful comments.

    Hi Kmac

I remember you. Sorry to hear for all your troubles. Life is not always easy for some of us.

Your not alone in that your doing this each year. I too still need to find a way to better stabilize, and hcg is a quick way to get us back on track to try again. So don't feel bad for that. It's not abuse, and as long as one is waiting the appropriate times in between rounds, all is good

I have a plan in mind this time, and once done hcg and into P4 a couple weeks, will be doing the FMD in hopes to get carb issues in order

My only stresses these past few years, has been the death of my sister and finances. It hit me a lot harder than I thought and has taken the last 4 years to deal with it.

Doing hcg this time has got me more focused and I am finally feeling better about things. I have said that before in the past few years but just saying it didn't work.

I have helped a few people who really want to lose weight, and introduced them to hcg, and they were successful with it. But your right, so many people don't understand how the diet works. They think they are going to starve lol.

I wish you the best of luck this time around, and sounds like you need a well deserved break .

    Morning all,

I had a stable visit with my NP and all hormones are in order. We talked about my "clean up" round and she said to GO FOR IT. HCG is always a good eating re-set and since I'll likely be/stay in therapy for now and the distance future.....perhaps I can learn to put myself first as I deal with life's stressors. Eventually, my parents won't be around and eventually......my son will recover. I want to be a in good place when those life changers happen.

Today is first load day. I dislike doing 3 days of loading but my clinic folks really think that is best. So.......I'll do it. I'm starting at 149.2 lb. My lofty goal will be 130 lbs. But, I could be dreaming! As you guys know, all rounds can be different so we will just see how this one plays out. I'll be very happy hitting 135 lbs. I'm 53 y/o and I like the lean/healthy look over the skinny look. For perspective, I weighed about 118 lb. before both my grown children and in my late 30's and 40's......I was very fit and generally weighed around 126 lb. So, I'm not going for reality and 135 lbs is a good solid healthy weight for me.......I think!

I'm heading to the grocery store for loading stuff.....bacon and avocados. I'm not a big fat eater so it's not fun for me. I will get fats in with each meal. I really don't want to gain weight during the load, but I have gained a few pounds loading in the past and it really falls off quickly. So, past experiences give me confidence to load well and not worry about a few pounds.

It doesn't appear there are many loading or many folks even on the thread this time around. This thread is for the January loaders........correct?

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. KMac

    Hi Kmac

Good luck. If your doing injections or the real hcg then 3 days loading is proper. I only did 2 days as I am using Intermountain pellets.

I didn't really gain anything on these days, but tried to get proper fats in

I have only done injections and have not ever loaded more than 2 days. The protocol says that is sufficient, unless you have been on a very low fat diet for a very long time. An extra day of loading just means more weight you have to lose before you actually start making downward progress.

Thanks for that clarification Leez, I wasn't really sure

Doing well on Phase 2. I didn't weigh this weekend as I slept in both days

Will weigh in tomorrow morning. I was happy with my progress on Friday, so hoping the scale has dropped more tomorrow

I had some asparagus this weekend for a change up, and some fish for lunch. Need a change once in awhile, although I am not sick of anything just yet

Sure glad I did the loading when I did though, as I am sure seeing results and liking it
