    I haven't done a round in years.
    Meal prepped for the week, yesterday.
    Mixed and started loading today. I couldn't eat nearly what I thought I wanted.
    My plan is to do the original protocol. I am happy to be joining you.

    KEllane, I couldn't load like I have in the past and I Contribute i t to a better way of eating since beginning this journey in '15. I'm on round 5 day 26. Glad you joined!

    atkhorses - IKR, I did this in '13. I want to remember how much I did not like loading if I think I feel deprived later. I am looking forward to vlcd-1.
    It looks like your round is going well. Way to go!

    Morning all,

    VLCD #2 for me. #1 went ok. I wasn't hungry until lunch time. I stocked up on my P2 foods. I made the mistake of not having a plan for dinner so I got pretty hangry fixing my dinner. Chicken and broccoli stir fry with fresh ginger and a sauce I found at whole foods with no sugar/carbs. I always look at the ingredients because lots of the sugar free stuff has splenda in it. I think stevia is the only allowed sweeter. Anyhow.......today I will prep my dinner earlier so that I don't have to feel cranky towards my hubby. (who got Canes chicken pick up for dinner). Luckily, that doesn't bother me because I'm not a fan of fast food. I'm not going to deviate to much from protocol with veggies that aren't on protocol yet. In the past, i've been able to eat a few others on occasion to help me not burn out. I"m stopping by Trader Joes this morning to see what other goodies I might find to help me out with variety. I gained less than a pound during my load (which I struggled with) and I'm a full pound below my pre load weight. So, I'm taking that as a positive. Day by day is the way.

    Kelllan--looking forward to encouraging you as you start this along with me. You were spot on to do the meal prep. I regret not doing so ahead of time and have to catch up today.

    Atkhorses---I think my issues with loading is that I don't eat much fast food or foods high in fats. I'll have to study up on adding the good fats back in when the time comes. I know there is a lot of info on that in the clean eating craze.

    Let's be very intentional today with what we eat. I only got 369 calories in yesterday. That has been a big issue in previous rounds. I just eat my 2 proteins, 2 veggies and 2 fruits and that isn't adding up to 500. However, I've generally lost 15 pounds per short round not getting the 500 calories in. I don't do it on purpose........I'm weighing everything right now. I guess I can add in an afternoon salad instead of the fruit.......but, that would be even less calories. I need to figure that out. I think I've heard LEEZ mention that getting closer to the 500 is better than NOT. Anyone else struggle with the calorie count? KMac
