February 2020 Loaders - Foxy Fighters

Hey there Foxy February Loaders! This thread is for you.

I chose Foxy Fighters as the group name this month, because its mid-winter and we need something uplifting and feisty to make it through to spring! On the other hand February is usually a socially calm time and can be the best time of the year to nestle into the homebody scene and just do the protocol without having to explain it to everyone.

Use it to plan, share questions and concerns, be accountable and get and give support. The best support often comes from those going through something with you.

I will be around to help with questions, but we often get some veterans chiming in here as well with things they have learned in their experience with the protocol. We're here to support you in your journey to health and freedom.

So jump in when you are ready!

My recent HCG round was with DietDoc. Our site owner has generously arranged for me to earn a small fee if you use my DietDoc or Nu Image Medical link to order your Hcg and supplies. Hey everyone! And thanks for the Feb thread Leez! I'm loading today after almost a year off. This will be a test of immunity or not for me. Last Feb was my last round and it was subpar. I'm starting at 183 lbs, 8 lbs over my LDW. I'm very motivated to begin, enjoyed reading everyone's posts in the Lovely Losers thread, y'all are so inspiring. I'm trying for the full 40 days.
I first tried HCG back in 2010 at 225 lbs. A couple of slides in between, both big and small, and am always grateful to have this tool to return to. Waving hi to old friends and the new folks!

Hi tracy, I hope you have overcome immunity by now. Hats off to you for planning a full round. It seems not many are up for that in recent months, but I really think it is the best way to get a solid reset, because the hypothalmus gets a nice long rest.

It is a victory to keep that close to your LIW Celebrating that with you! We all seem to have to constantly fight that last ten.

Hey Wanna! I'm testing out immunity as well, I gave it a year, gained a bit and fingers crossed I will be fine. Yesterday was load day 1 and did not gain. I ate home cooked foods, potatoes, a burger, some pork, bacon and my sweet treat was peanut butter. Today I'm loading in more cheese and plan to finish up the avocados and cook the last of my cauliflower. The underlying theme will be butter! And I'll meal prep for the week. I've got chicken and shrimp and veggies.
    Congrats on the new baby!

Iím so excited for you guys! Iím a January loader, but I began at the very end of January. Itís only VLCD 6 for me, so Iím still near the beginning of my journey. Iím really happy to be going through such a positive experience with everyone! Itís been tough at certain moments, but overall itís been pretty easy, surprisingly. I thought Iíd be hungrier! I honestly like the food, and itís making me rethink portion sizes.

    Good luck to you both!!!

Thank you Ashley! I'll be heading over to the lovelies thread too, now that loading is done, but I try to read all the new posts when I can.
So, a first for me, second day of loading and I'm still at 183. No gain with the load, woot woot! I even moved my scale around the floor to make sure it wasn't broken. Yesterday I had a potato pancake with cheese and FFF, avocados, roasted cauliflower in olive oil with an obscene amount of cheese and by 3pm hcg's cruel joke came on strong. (Leez!) I was so not hungry. I had a little wine and thought - sushi! Mischief managed :-)
Then I had a very large chocolate chip cookie and a very large glass of whole milk and called it a day.

Hi Ladies! I am on VLCD1. Weighed in at 176 this morning, so 2 up from pre-load. I did a lot of carbs and added some fat bombs in for good measure (my husband is doing keto, so we had some high fat stuff around).
I am so hoping for a good loss tomorrow. My biggest fear is immunity after loading! Can't wait to follow your progress as well. I will join the other group too!

Wannalosesome: I’m drooling hearing all about your loading foods! Today I did great, not hungry at all, didn’t cheat, but oh my god the cravings were real. I decided to make a list of everything I’m craving, and tell myself I will eat it later during my next load! It’s helping a little bit, but oh. My. Gosh. I’m craving stuff like nuts.

Another way I’m battling cravings is to plan my P3. I decided that I’m going to do a keto diet for 3 weeks and then cycle back. I have SO much to lose (more than 100 pounds) so I really need to get this under control.

    Has anyone else cycled before?

Hi wanna and Ashley, no more loading **** from me!
Vlcd 1 is on the books. It was super dead at work yesterday so I spent some time on the HCG 2.0 thread. I love my protein, so I'm giving it a go. Weight this morning was 181.5. Not an omg drop, but I didn't gain on the load so there's that. But here's the cool thing. I always and only measure my waist from the get go. Sunday it was 35" and this morning it was 33". Which checks out, my waist and gut is where all my transgressions live :-) Also, my jawline! Too bad I can't measure that...
ashley, I have cycled before. There's a very long and interesting thread on the forum, I think it's in the Rogue salon. I tried first in 2010 in my second round (with drops) and did well stabilizing. About 2 years later I tried it again and I didn't see the same P3 success. As Leez would say, "you are your own experiment". I found the second time, it messed with my conviction to stay POP and jumping back into P2 was harder.
Next couple days I have to plan and take both meals to work with me, which I find stressful. I will make another trip to the grocery at lunch time today to grab some easy 2.0 fillers and go to meals. Organic sliced deli meats and romaine for wraps and fat free cottage cheese. I need to check out ingredients on the deli stuff. I take probiotics which sometimes helps me digest iffy foods.
    Have the best day y'all!

I’ve never heard of 2.0. That sounds interesting. I should probably do a traditional round since it’s my first real crack at this. I just don’t want to stop losing!!! I’m just so overweight and want to do better.

My back is in spasm today, and I’m in a ton of pain. I can’t call a substitute to teach since it’s so last minute and I wouldn’t be able to teach the kids what we need to go over. So, I’m going to push through the pain and get to school. I can’t help but be angry with myself because my weight is contributing to my back issues. I started at 245 lbs and should be around 125-135. Of course things will hurt!!! Ugh.

I’m just letting all these feelings push me. Good luck to everyone today! Let’s all eat clean and control our inner piggies.

Hey ladies, I am excited to report that I had a 3.2 loss from VLCD1. So far so good hunger wise. I didn't eat an apple the first day, but did so today as I was having a later dinner. I'm hoping that when I get up and weigh in a few hours I have another big drop.

I have done what I think is 2.0 in the past (I need to look it up to remember) but did not have much luck. I have also done rounds where I added broccoli or brussel sprouts in, and honestly never had as much success as with the good old original plan. I always tell myself I can do anything for a month, and that has helped me get through the hard parts and missing different foods, having good losses of course makes it easier, which I think is why we all love this diet...it has some instant gratification!

Speaking of cycling, I haven't really done that, but I have gone longer than the 43 days on a couple of occasions...I was so close to goal and motivated and it has worked for me. I know it risks immunity, which I am scared of right now because of having just had it in my system for 9 months straight, but going 60 days did not hurt me before. I will do it this time if my body works with me and I can see the goal line!

Hope you guys are feeling good today and have some great losses!

In my intro, I realize that I said I lost 50 in 2 rounds, that is NOT accurate, it was in an extended round. Just realized that sounded misleading!
